I wish I had an eighth of his knowledge. It would have been an honor to meet him. It's not often someone can make an impact on someone they've never met but by watching this video I'm truly inspired by what he's done not only as a builder but as a human being using the money for scholarships. May we all try to be that kind of person. If nothing else just passing on what knowledge we have. I hope one day I can meet him. But for now I'd love any info on him and other things hes done no matter if I have to pay or not.

Paul picked a good person to share his hard work, passion and love with. Thank you Jay for sharing this treasure of a car with us and sharing Paul's story. You can tell Paul put a lot of himself into that car and as long as that cars around in the hands of somebody that will share Paul's story a little piece of him will live on forever. Many wealthy collectors would have taken the car for free without batting an eye. The fact that you worked out a deal to donate money in his Paul's name when you could have just got it free speaks volumes of the type of person you are Jay. It also allows Paul to live on through those students that recieved the scholarship that will be forever thankful to both of you, and the fact the students were able to speak with Paul before he passed must have ment the world to him. Paul I know you are looking down at every one of us who has had the luxury of enjoying seeing this fine piece of master craftsmanship and you are still helping to inspire people to chase their dreams no matter what they are. Thank you Paul and your family as well as Jay for sharing this beautiful automobile with us all. As for the youth watching this video and reading the comments this beautiful Plymouth shows you that with hard work and faith anything is possible and not everything in your life needs to be centered around money.

8:30. I have to say. This is how the TV News should be. Imagine if television actually educated people about engines, and vehicle designs, and engineering, as part of their standard daily News coverage? I feel so much smarter having watched this. Outstanding!

My favorite thing about the show?
The fact that Jay Leno now has the time to concentrate on it more.

As a long-time ISCA member, pro street owner and lover and collector of vintage car mags (and cars), I remember this Duster clearly. I used to stare at the full-page engine shot from HRM. 1980 was when I first dreamed of being an ISCA champion "someday". Well, "someday" happened in the 1983/84 season at the age of 20. Mission accomplished.
As a side note, I have a pro street 1971 Duster, '69 Nova, '74 Vega and '70 Cuda. Other toys too, but those are the pro street cars.

I worked with Nunzee when we both were at General Motors and I'm probably the last person he took for a ride in this car back all those years ago. I remember it had around 650 miles. When it was time for any car show he would take months getting it ready. Paul was also afraid to put the gas petal to the floor. May You Rest In Peace Paul ...Eric Doucette

What a great installment to this series with the tribute to Paul Annunziata and his completely bad ass '75 Duster. Jay does a such a great job with his Garage series here on TH-cam. I admire the respect he shows for all of his guests, the low key presentation, doesn't get too bogged down in miscellany, and the passion he has for just about everything on wheels. There's an honesty about this program that's missing in a lot of TV shows. It's really too bad that the networks don't air Jay Leno's Garage during prime time.

Well done Jay Leno. PS - glad to see you're looking after my old race Bentley so well!

Just wanted to say thanks. You make one of the only car shows that covers most of the beauty in the auto world. Most shows focus on one type of the automotive world, American muscle, Japanese sport cars, mud trucks, turbo, supercharged, N/A, 2dr, 4dr, supercars, rotary engine, 2wd,4wd, all wheel, or movie cars. Your show brings it all and I love that!!!!! No bias. I'm an auto lover. Doesn't matter what it is as long as it has soul. You know what I mean. Have had a few project cars over the years, but never got a chance to finish one. Always building someone else's cars or taking care of my family which means the cars/truck always got put on the back burner. And when your child has special needs sometimes you have to sell your dream for them to have a better future. But, your show brings those dreams back to life. Like I said, you show everything. That's why I love it. Someday maybe you'll be showing something that I built. Keep this show going strong. And again, thank you.

FYI as to this piece....5 yrs. later, Pauls car, his story, still matter. Any of Jays recent restoration video up-dates, shows The HEMI Duster sitting right in the background. Paul wanted it to go to a good home; that's surely the web, where we can enjoy his dream-come-true forever. Thank You Jay Leno. God Bless YOU, my friend.

Another example of Jay's character. Most guys would have taken this car for free and hidden it away. Thanks for helping create the scholarship Jay. I went to a technical school too and can appreciate the skills they help develop. I remember building my first 355 Chevy. One of the most memorable and satisfying things I've ever done. Thanks for all of the great stories Jay!

A great tribute to an icon of the drag racing world. I wish i would have met Mr Annunziata who lived in Framingham. When I was in the Marines back in 1974 and would come up from North Carolina, I used to visit my ex-wife who lived in neighboring Marlboro,MA , I would pass by his place. You can pick up a lot from people like him. Mr Leno, thanx for honoring great influential people.

I had a Duster hatchback when I was in the military and I loved that car. It didn't have a Hemi, but that slant six proved itself many times on the 1/8th mile drag strip. The guy I bought it from had installed a four barrel intake/carb and I believe it had a 4.125" stroke w/ 3.5" bore and was a torque monster up to 5500 RPM, where it would drop off fairly drastically. Great car for gettin' around and the hatchback always got lots of attention/comments when loading groceries, w/ some asking what inspired me and how long did it take to complete. The looks on their faces when they learn it was a factory automobile were priceless.
