    I despise the idea of naming right just on principle. I think the bowl names are tacky enough, but having to call something the “Allstate” conference makes me dry heave. CF is already oversaturated with ads, I’d rather some regulatory body step in and break up the big players then have super conferences named after Nestle and HP.

      I think it’d depend on how creative and natural they can be with the name. Imagine Allstate has the naming rights to the AAC, and the conference’s title is changed to the Allstate Athletic Conference (ACC)…like I think that works. But I don’t disagree with what you’re saying, if they’re just going to be doing something like the State Farm Big Twelve Conference then it’s gonna be lame.

      I get it, i hate corporate influence on the game we love just as much as you. But the B12 has to try something or else the SEC and B10 will relegate them to the G5. The leaders of the B10 and SEC have forced hands to make these moves, and none of it is good for the sport.

    The biggest challenge college ADs have is that their debt is greater than their revenues. Hence, the conference realignment events! Disruption and innovation is the only path forward for a conference like the Big 12. The other alternative is colleges and universities filing bankruptcy protections and altogether imploding. I am not just talking Big 12 schools, I am also including all athletic conferences nationwide.

    FSU is leading the way in realignment. We are not taking any of this lying down. No matter what happens, everyone knows that we are not going out like that! Seminole Nation looking forward to the B1G. Go Noles

    It's all well and good unless you are a fan of a team that gets left behind, even if you team has a better viewership than most of the teams that the ACC & B12 picked up.

    Regarding naming, stop using numbers and geography! The so-called Big 12 has 16 schools! The Atlantic Coast has California and Stanford and SMU! Its all stupid!!! The conferences that have it right is the American Conference and CUSA!!!

    Another thing to consider: Any sponsorship for any part of the realignment will involve advertising through any media. Advertising dollars convert to increased costs for goods, and time slots on any media platform will eventually become longer. Will the "Super Conference" no matter what it may be called, become the BLACK HOLE for Football and all related sports?

    If acc power houses move to the BIG 10 and SEC, does the ACC and PAC 12 merge ?

      Depending on the Tier 2 and Tier 3 rights being adjusted after the 2026-2027 season, the ACC may not need FSU and Clemson, but instead that conference's rights in those tiers could be rebalanced as a new bedrock for increased conference payouts and a rebalanced media rights tier with more nationally-attractive matchups by ease of access alone.

    I'VE come to an equitable figure that the ACC should charge for a FSU exit fee. $5 Million is what ACC should charge FSU for breaking contract before it plays out.
    So , you take 5 million and apply it to all 176 wins that FSU had against other ACC football members that FSU used to increase FSU'S profile and fortunes...That is a fair figure that allows FSU to retain over 70% of the fortune FSU generated as a 31 year member of the ACC family. So 5 Million dollars times 176 wins is a small $880,000,000 exit fee, and when the 1 Million dollar ACC CHAMP tax is added, the grand total exit fee is $896,000,000.
    When inflation is factored back to the time they last signed with ACC, This figure represents just $664,832,000... the exit fee represents just over 28% of all estimated revenue gains that came with being a 31 year ACC family member. Left-behind family members are compensated including all the non football ACC teams that FSU beat over the years, The ACC Could use a portion to find a replacement institution, and FSU retains carriage, profits and future rights. Of course a second option is FSU could just stay in the ACC, fulfill the life of the contract and pay zero to go independent(like USC did), the choice is entirely theirs.

    I don’t mean to type long about this but this is the rundown on what I think is gonna happen:
    I think before 2031 (Big 12 TV deal runs out) Clemson and Florida State will leave the ACC to join the SEC and starting a domino effect kinda like OU and Texas leaving for the SEC type situation making Duke and North Carolina also leave for the SEC. This will not make the ACC collapse but they will barely stay alive until there deal ends in 2036. I think that by 2031 the Big 12 disbands and the SEC and Big 10 will pick up the disbanded teams of high caliber possibly leaving out poor performing teams. By 2036, the ACC also disbands and the same process will occur. I think by 2036 the 2 super conferences emerge (SEC and Big 10) and there will be a 16-team playoff making it almost impossible for a G-5 team to make it. If you made it this far I’d love to hear some feedback on my opinion

    • @waynebennett745
      @waynebennett745 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      WHAT do you base "high caliber" or "poor performing" on: football, basketball, baseball, other, a combination of things? 🤔

    • @HE-es2pe
      @HE-es2pe 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@waynebennett745 Like for instance I would consider a Boston College a poor preforming team that would get left out due to being crappy in everything while a Duke who is usually good in all 3 sports and academics I would consider that team a high caliber team. Just teams that would benefit the conference positively

    • @waynebennett745
      @waynebennett745 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@HE-es2pe i understand that. BUT what do you think of the SEC:
      Vandy
      bad - football
      good - baseball
      Kentucky
      bad - football
      good - basketball
      Where do they fall?

    • @HE-es2pe
      @HE-es2pe 12 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@waynebennett745 Like Vandy has baseball and academics and Kentucky is usually all around in 2 or more sports so even though there not NIL powerhouses they still would bring competition and/or academic prestige

    Although I don’t like the name “Allstate 12” as a fan of a big 12 team, I can’t blame Brett Yormark for trying to stay in the “big leagues” of college football and still compete from a money standpoint with the SEC and Big 10
