I’m glad these two bonded
Metallicas albums and music back then and now is still the best things.
Love Kirk & Rob . 🔥 🔥
Took the whole video for me to realize this is a plug for Blackened Whiskey. I’m alright with it.
Love the enthusiasm Kirk still has for music..
I wish it would show in his playing

The Blackening sessions
Admittedly, I haven’t been a fan of Metallica’s music for a long time, but I still find their interviews engaging enough.
👍
Living Legends 🤘🤘
Kirk had either veneers or dentures created. He is borderline Neil Goldman from Family Guy in the interview
Camera is more shaky than breaking bad

Same here, I was 9 years old.
Everyone who is tearing their mouths here should be told that MetallicA would no longer exist today if they hadn't gotten involved with the mainstream and of course Kirk "the Ripper" Hammett plays differently than he did 35 years ago because he has evolved as a person.
🤘🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🤘
Kirk deserves respect like any other person and he'll easily play you wrong!!
Change the video editor please. Add some B-roll footage between obvious cuts, Jesus...
Even the camera positioning and moving is awful
They don't drink their whiskey but bottle on the table and only water in the glass 😂
Blackened American Whiskey...yet not a single person is drinking....must have been early morning when they recorded it.
Metallica sent their B-team to peddle their whiskey 😅
A whiskey bottle on the table and drinking water.... huh?
But... they're not drinking the Whiskey?
I wish I could taste this whiskey But i'm underage😅
Recovering alcoholics promoting the use of alcohol. Brilliant..
Hey alllll u young kids who think your entitled to everything. Watch this. They worked fast food and now look. It’s called hard work and good things happen. Not give me
Trujillo*
22 people on this post ain’t shit 😂
Trujillo is wasted on Metallica, needs to go do another Infectious Grooves album.
They expired way before Rob joined
Kirk is 100% the most obvious example of someone who literally just gave up. I don’t care about his technique or virtuosity compared to his melodic solos of the first 5-8 albums. Even the Load and Reload albums he was at least trying to impress. The past two albums, particularly 72 seasons, is nothing but random pentatonic doodling. He’s actually an example of the exact guitar player you DONT want to be. If he hadn’t been blessed to be in a band with James Hetfield he’d be either still caring about his solos or working at Burger King again, or both.
I agee. Kirk is obviously a great player. But it really does sound like he just gave up.
You can actually put James in that category as well. Every subsequent album becomes more and more boring. I used to be such a Metallica fanboy. Born in 80, idolized the Mighty Met after I first saw One on MTv. Strangely I didn’t lose my rose-tinted glasses until after Death Magnetic. One would think St Anger would’ve done it…
Maybe it’s more physical limitations now. His guitar playing, riffs and solos on their early albums, justly puts him in the top tier of metal guitarists.
Nobody’s expecting Kirk to play crazy fast solos like he could when he was a young man. Atleast he can try to make his solos musical and fitting to the song.
True he lost it
