If you would like my personal take on what I would do with a remake of this game, here's the story that I could come up with; American mercenary 'Johnathan Hunter' (voiced by the ever-talented Seth Green), miraculously managed to get a job at MI6 where he became a close friend and ally of James Bond. In spite of losing an eye at the hands of Dr. No, he still accompanied 007 on missions until that fateful day when MI6 raided Fort Knox. Hunter, having already had a shaky relationship with M and many other MI6 agents, witnesses Bond fall to his death when the Helicopter crashes and explodes within Fort Knox. This ultimately pushes Hunter over the edge, and he mercilessly guns down Goldfinger's goons in a vengeful act of genocide. Gameplay changes include Hong Kong being an on-rails segment riding in Pussy Galore's chopper (Let's call it 'The Pussymobile' to keep things simple). After the OMEN is activated in the Midas Casino, you get a vehicle level where you are required to eradicate any survivors. Story changes include Scaramanga providing you with Goldeneye's signature weapon; The Pulse Blaster (created using similar technology to the Moonraker Laser) and Goldfinger providing Goldeneye with his own car; a BMW Z8 with deployable spikes, a rocket motor that doubles as a flamethrower and dual machine guns that pop out of the bonnet. Admittedly a bit cheesy, but it provides a much better reason as to why Goldeneye is so ruthless in combat, does it not? Love your videos, mate!
I also remember the developers bragging on the dynamic AI when this game was coming out, saying how smart enemies where and that every playthrough of a level was different. Lies.
When I saw this at the store I thought it was going to be you play as Alec Trevelyan during the nine years between the end of Facility and when Bond meets Xenia in GoldenEye, or you going through the whole story from Alec's point of view, which yah GoldenEye has already had multiple games now, but from Alec's point of view would've still be interesting. But because the guy looked nothing like Sean Bean and he had a golden eye, I thought it was going to be like GoldenEye: Reloaded where they didn't bother to get any of the original actors and decided to not look into it. I'm glad I didn't waste my money because I don't need to experience this game. xD Looking forward to the next one, I thought From Russia with Love was a pretty good Bond game, atleast from the parts I got to since I couldn't beat it. Loved playing the multiplayer with my dad, but it has been a while since I last played it so I might have different opinions about if its a good Bond game...
"I feel like I'm playing like Bond's younger brother who lost a game of monopoly and is now in a bad mood"... Sounds a bit like SPECTRE. Be careful what you put out there, Calvin.
Just wondering, is GoldenEye's retreat Goldfinger's ranch? It looks familiar. Also can you come up with a conclusion as to why Oddjob tried to kill GoldenEye?
Pros: Best soundtracks ever Good variety of weapons Neat Powers Cons: You don't feel like a bad guy Unfair difficulty spike near end game overall: 7/10
I wish something had been said WITHIN the game itself, but Oddjob is in the game as Goldfinger's guardian, and he REALLY doesn't take very kindly to GoldenEye. Like the family dog when confronted with the new baby. That could be why you start the Las Vegas level at the top--Oddjob is already at the bottom, and Goldfinger doesn't want the two of you to fight...at least, not while the OMEN is still a factor. Also, here's why I think you find the game repetitive: There are very few set objectives; the goal is to thoroughly wipe out all of Dr. No's forces.
Bruh. The music in this game is legendary. I don't know what you're talking about. The gameplay may be lacking, but you can't insult the music. Every level has different soundtracks, and are all unique. Maybe you just don't like the style, but the music is very well made.
They should've made more use of the "no Bond" gimmick. How about a world where Bond doesn't exist? SPECTRE rules the world with a parliament of Bond villains and you play as Jaws, hired by the resistance led by the aging renegade Francisco Scaramanga to bring down the empire, with each level being another villain's evil lair(with variety of course, for example skiing in the OHMSS level). Get Ken Adam to help design all the levels, have Jaws drive around in an Aston Martin DB5, choose between a multitude of Bond girls to be your partner, get mr. Wint and mr. Kidd to be the creepiest quartermasters ever. As a bonus: you can choose which Blofeld to do battle against, which will affect the game's overall style. Go Pleasance and you're in for puzzles and surreal environments. Go Savalas and you're in for a tough survival course every level(having to go to extreme measures to keep your health bar up). Go Charles Grey and you get glitches and drag queens. If you beat all three styles, you can do one extra bonus level, where you duel against all the Bond incarnations.
I assume the "Bond's evil twin" theme was meant to be obvious because, as bad as his relationship with MI6 can be, Bond can genuinely depend on his comrades... but 'eye? Oddjob betrays him, Goldfinger betrays him, and Scaramanga only continues to side him you because he was ordered to betray Goldfinger. But, yeah, you don't get to see Goldeneye's supposed sociopathy. Maybe he doesn't bother with one-liners because he likes his work so much he doesn't bother with defense mechanisms? He makes more use of torture devices rather than a clean shot to the head? Maybe his relationship with Pussy Galore is a dark, sexually aggressive parallel of Bond and Moneypenny's wistful flirting? There are a couple ways they could have played with that.
The death of Oddjob remains one of the most baffling wtf moments in any video game ever... Like... I figured he’d turn on you eventually but it happens out of nowhere for literally no reason! He shoulda been a boss AFTER Goldfinger betrays you.
Good review, mate. The best thing about this game was the production design by Ken Adam. I have interviewed the writer of this game, Danny Bilson, yesterday, and he did say the original concept was going to be a lot different than the final outcome. We were actually going to play a spy game with stealthy elements, combined with classy action. But, here, all you get is a hardcore science fiction genre accompanied with an overdose of action category. Doesn't suit the Bond universe, nor a spy fiction, does it? But, in anyways, when there was a sequel in consideration, even with ideas being drafted, he left the project in mid-way. Interesting thing is, James Bond was going to have a larger role in the adventure, but some license issues prevented it, AND in the original script, Mr. Bilson himself said that it was going to feature Sean Connery's Bond, instead. Now, was the arrival of "From Russia With Love" strictly afterwards coincidental? I think not.
Really wish that we had gotten that game instead. I remember the further along I got in the game, the more frustration I felt. After I beat it, I went back and played Everything Or Nothing which helped me feel better. I also got rid of my copy of Goldeneye: Rogue Agent, since I knew that I would never again play it.
The thing is, the more I think about it, the more I find that this game has actually never been finished. A lot of the artworks you can find in the game's extras or online show things that were never implemented (for instance some stealth boat on Hoover Dam and Crab Key pieces, Xenia's appearance based on Nightfire's one, a really epic fight on Hong Kong's rooftops...); there were people like Ken Adam, Christopher Lee or Kym Barrett (the costume designer from the Matrix movie) in the staff; the end credits were actually some random track taken from one of the composer's albums; and as I dug up in the games files, I came across lines of dialogues that have been simply cut off. So, then: what the heck happened to that game?
Here's an idea that would have made this game more interesting. You are playing as a Bond villain right? Well, how about giving players their own secret hideout (which would sort of act as a hub that you can upgrade and explore), and allow them to organize and finance evil schemes around the world? Sort of like an RTS mode that rewards you for being as devious and cunning as possible.
I actually had this game and honestly, completely forgot entirely about it and that I ever played and beat it and now, I know why! Great review, Calvin!
It says something about the excessive length of the levels that the GameCube version had to be squeezed onto two discs. There weren't even excessive cutscenes to account for this like in 'Enter the Matrix'.
I recently replayed, and actually completed this game for the first time today and I agree with a lot of things Calvin has said. Calvin said that Goldeneye had no personality or anything, it didn't help that he didn't even get assigned an actor. If you check the cast in the credits, Goldeneye isn't on there. It's as if they came up with this amazing fan fiction Bond story, but couldn't fit Bond or an antagonist to fit with the story. The average level lasted me about 45-60 minutes. Surprisingly the level in Tokyo was one of the shortest, took me about 45 minutes whereas the level on the dam took me 1 hour and 10 minutes all together with no deaths. The last three levels took about an hour each, the casino level took about 45 minutes and the first two levels put together took me about 30 minutes. The tokyo level seemed a lot longer as your always on a rooftop, the other levels have a lot of variety in terms of location and design of the area. To be fair I was expecting it to be really bad, it was a bit better but I admit the design of the areas and basically what Ken Adam did saved the game for me. On my first session I smashed out the first 5 levels until I couldn't play any longer, but when I continued the day after I definitely found it much more repetitive and more of a necessity to do rather than wanting to complete it like I was during my first session. Also the game can get really difficult, surprisingly the helicopters were the easiest enemies to kill. You could literally walk back a couple of steps in some places and even though it has a clear view, won't shoot and if it does shoot, either misses or you can just put your shield up. The last two levels were the most difficult though, the mobile Omen was a killer, literally. One touch from that and you died, even if you had full health and armour. The amount of times I died cos some guy jumped out and hit me with the omen before I had time to put my shield on, or when I got stuck on something when trying to move out of the way was ridiculous. That last section of the last level probably took well over 15 minutes. The lack of weapons, the amount of enemiers, the bad hit detector and their shields make it impossible. Literally with one of the weapons, even if you were pointing at this guys head while scoped in and shot, it wouldn't kill him. Only works when your in proximity. The lack of ammo and the choice of what weapon to take was also annoying. Most times I had to decide between taking two sub machine guns with 150 bullets each, or the machine gun which can zoom in. In terms of the enemies that came after, I regretted some of my decisions, weather that be cos of helicopters or the distance enemies are away from you. Also, most of the Goldeneye features, such as the hacking and the star wars feature was useless as during a battle I usually had about 5-45 energy, which isn't enough for the magnetic push and just enough for the hack, but I never used it. The only thing I used was the shield, and occasionally seeing through walls when entering a new room or going round the corner. I admit, I enjoyed it a lot more than I was expecting, however that quickly worn off during my second session and as the game became increasingly difficult. If they had cut the levels short to about 10-20 minutes each or even if they cut the levels to 10 minutes and got more levels and more level designs from Ken Adam, then I would bet the reviews wouldn't be as bad. However it still lacked any true variety, Goldeneye wasn't really present and very integral in the actually plot, and the game would still have very little replay value.
ya that moment at 1:26 where oddjob dies is odd games got a lot of those was the idea that he was jealous of your character? was he interpreting the bomb as a betrayal? im not sure its explained...
I value this game simply because the constant onslaught of enemies helps to improve stamina for online multiplayer games. It can be grueling and it's rare to find a game with such pressure to keep going and not die.
"OH MY GAWD IT'S THE VOLCANO LAIR FROM YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE IT'S THE ROOM FROM THUNDERBALL FJDSIAOFJDIFJ *CHRIST* IT'S THE ROOM FROM DR. NO OHMIGAWD WHERE'S THE SPIDER? OH THE LEVEL DESIGN IS *INCREDIBAHL* " Just a translation for the fanboy-ism in the middle there XD
Hey Calvin, the bit with the bleeping around Blofeld's name, was that inspired by Hughsnews? If so, good callback to a greatly underappreciated YT video from ages ago!
Hey. Do you know if the rumors are true that the character of freelance mercenary/rogue agent Goldeneye used to be known as "Jonathan Hunter 0013"? I understand that his number was 0013 because it's the unlucky number. I guess that makes sense. The last person to have the number 0013 was Briony Thorne, from the "Fear Face" story from the "Golden Ghost" graphic novel by Titan Books. Also, in the film Goldfinger, when Goldfinger tells Bond that he was informed that Bond was a Double-O agent by one of Bond's opposite numbers, who is also licensed to kill. Was he referring to Jonathan Hunter 0013 when Hunter was still a Double-O agent?
Guess Odd Job saw Goldeneye as a threat for his position as Goldfinger's bodyguard/ enforcer. Hence why he tried to kill him at the first chance he had.
This game had a lot of potential. At one point I would love to be able to play this kind of game again with a more refreshed and cohesive story mode, multi-player with classic game modes and BondvBond, and gameplay that includes weapon variety and more gadget use.
I know I'm very late to the party but... If the premise is 'play as a Bond villain' then I feel first person shooter was completely the wrong genre. To truly capture the Bond villain experience it should have been something more akin to Sim Hospital; you have to build your lair, recruit henchman, install deathtraps, acquire a doomsday device...
Will you do a From Russia With Love review? I have fun memories of it from when I was about six. It was a fun adventure with some quite bizarre early Cold War technology, and you get to drive the DB5 a bit, if I remember correctly. And a jetpack. And... Nah, I'll leave it there.
0:58 Uhh, I think you meant to say Diavolo’s Platinum Army, Calvin. Drake was the bad guy from Nightfire with the bright idea of hijacking a U.S. Missile Defense space platform and using it to wipe out all of NATO’s bases and installations so his corporation could do a hostile takeover of the entire planet, not to mention having awesome laser guns and suitcase drones. 😆
The online multiplayer is what made this game solid in my view. Fun online play in the PS2 era. I never made it through the single player. There was a lot of hype leading up to it with Ken Adams and Christopher Lee, but the story and design just did not deliver. But, the multiplayer was fun at the time. I think I actually have the game guide for this game for some reason. My opinion now is probably the same as then, this game is only worth it for the multiplayer, the story is just a grind.
I was really curious why he attacked us. He was helping us and saving the guy who highers us. The hover dam level was my favourite level in the game and I love chasing enemy's with the shield and just punching them.
As a non bond fan at the time of playing it I oddly really liked the game, I found it fun to play the multiplayer from time to time and the campaign was a lot more fun for me than hindsight shows. I've always held the opinion that the only games/movies that should be remaked are ones that turn out bad and with hindsight showing how poorly executed this fun concept was I think a modern re-do would be great if not for the legal mess that is the bond universe.
I hated the fact that the levels were long, especially few levels, and the fact that you could save in mid-level loading segments ONLY on your first playthrough. Such a pain to go back to play them, except the first mission, because the saving is then limited to mission change spots. To me the greatest parts are the first mission and the credits, which take around 7 minutes if I recall correctly (there's a few interesting names there). Sat through them scrolling names multiple times.
Hey Calvin just saw The Bride Of Vernon and it's amazing the non stop motion picture is fantastic and it's really funny. Arguably my favourite non stop motion. But apart from this one I love fantastic mr fox as it's one of my favourite films of all time.
Fantastic review, Calvin! I love your videos, as I am a huge Bond fan like you. I agree with everything you said in this review, except for the fact that I actually enjoy this game very much. Idk why, but as tedious as it is, I'm able to play it for hours on end. But it's definitely not my favorite Bond game at all. Took me forever to beat it lol. I can't wait for the From Russia With Love review. I loved that game as well and beat it many times. I know you had planned on reviewing every Bond game, and you should seriously go through with that. It would be awesome to see. Keep up the good work man!
Can anybody tell me why everything is so sci-fi in this game? You hated that for EoN, yet didn't mention it here. Also for no bots, well I think this is because its the first Bond game (that isn't Nightfire for PC which IDK if you reviewed since its different from the console version) that had online MP support.
Wow, the voice actor for Blofe--I mean, No. 1 sounds exactly like Donald Pleasence! Quick, get this guy in some The Great Escape, Halloween, and Escape From New York games!
Hey Calvin, it's been a couple of months sense this video came out, and I was wondering if you were still doing TH-cam in general, I would love to see more videos from you (especially your review on Thunderball, seeing how you've show your disliking of it.) but I haven't seen any form of video form you in a while, if you could do a quick update or something, that would be great. P.s: your videos are great and I enjoy the time and effort you've put into them, "say shaken friend."
Solomon Pleasent Hey! Thanks very much for the comment! Unfortunately my TH-cam output hasn't been as good as I'd like it to be recently due to new job and life in general! I hope to get some new stuff up very soon!
It always puzzled me how in all of the advertisements that Goldeneye's weapon of choice is a Desert Eagle, yet he always starts each level with a Walther P99. Also I too got very frustrated with hope repetitive the later levels became. Finally with some of the weapons and gadgets present seems more like it belongs in HALO rather than James Bond. I didn't bother playing this game after I beat on the easy setting. From Russia With Love despite it short comings was a better experience for me, since the 1963 film is my favorite in the whole series.
If it was a hand-to-hand fight, I'd say that the last two left standing would be Daniel Craig and George Lazenby. They had the superior fighting skills out of all the Bond's.
I don't know if you've seen On Her Majesty's Secret Service. But if not, you should. Lazenby is a fucking badass. He is very fast and aggressive in his fight scenes. During his screen test, he broke a stuntman's nose. Which is one of the reasons why he was chosen for the role. I thought he was a good Bond personally, and I liked OHMSS.
Sorry for the late reply. Yes i have seen ohmss. I think it is good but a lot of other people dont rate it so well. My favourite bond has still got to be PB though.
It's obvious that you don't want a video game to be a video game. Complaining about the addition of super human abilities? Come on, they're fun. Saying that the weapons aren't good? Why? Also, silent protagonists are great.
I loved FRWL when I was younger. I played it even more than I did nightfire. Looking forward to that review. Also hoping for your thunderball review as well (I want to know why you hate it so much besides the water scenes)
The multiplayer is decent in this one, really cool levels from the films. The ragdoll physics also add to the fun. Agent Under Fire's MP for life though.
I actually really enjoyed this game. I agree it was stupid of EA to try to cash in on the Goldeneye name but looking past that this game is fun. Yeah, the levels are long and monotonous but it has an interesting concept, returns from some of the best Bond villains and NO STEALTH that makes it my kind of game. How can you argue with being able to go full Rambo throughout the entirety of the game? I choose not to nitpick it and enjoy the game for what it is. Just my opinion.
Good review! :) The Multiplayer Maps were awesome, it would be wonderful if they came back in futue games! :) About Goldfinger speaking German, maybe because Gert Fröbe was German?
***** Indeed Gert Frobe was German but in the film Goldfinger they describe him as being English... Don't know why they did just cut that line all together!
@@stuffedsheepshead According to the novel's description he is a Latvian immigrant who travelled to Britain in his early life, eventually gaining British citizenship, so maybe they just didn't get around to explaining his nationality in the movie?
I greatly enjoy this game, but your complaints are quite understandable. In addition to being a very funny and entertaining reviewer, you made sure to focus on the positive and the negative and I appreciate that. I enjoyed the eye powers (out of place as they were) and the weapons, particularly the Venom 200ml and the rail gun. I also liked the intimidating enemies and most of the levels. The only levels I dislike are The Octopus and the Volcano Lair. Most levels I can breeze through but those two are exceptions. One aspect of this game you neglected to mention...the Omen-XR, the very thing that ruined the Volcano Lair! In your hands, it's virtually useless and yet your enemies are unfairly skilled with it.
Can you do an online game on goldeneye reloaded so you can play with your subs? I have you added on psn and it would be awesome to play goldeneye with you!
"Bond's little brother who lost a game of Monopoly" Calvin predicted Spectre 🤣
That's what this game should have been: "Neil Connery falls to the dark side."
Ah, I knew Calvin wouldn't like this ga...
...wait a minute.
Scaramanga's funhouse as a multiplayer map?
Where's my wallet?!?!
The most enjoyable multiplayer map I've ever played.
The Blofeld/Spectre gag was brilliant.
You mean 'B*****d/S*****e gag'
If you would like my personal take on what I would do with a remake of this game, here's the story that I could come up with;
American mercenary 'Johnathan Hunter' (voiced by the ever-talented Seth Green), miraculously managed to get a job at MI6 where he became a close friend and ally of James Bond. Admittedly a bit cheesy, but it provides a much better reason as to why Goldeneye is so ruthless in combat, does it not?
Love your videos, mate!
I laughed at the censore part 😂
I also remember the developers bragging on the dynamic AI when this game was coming out, saying how smart enemies where and that every playthrough of a level was different. Lies.
Yeah I remember that too. To be honest I don't think I've ever been too impressed with enemy AI after the developers boast about it!
Calvin - Bond Reviewer it said it on the back of the box but they dont mention the taking hostages

"I feel like I'm playing like Bond's younger brother who lost a game of monopoly and is now in a bad mood"... Sounds a bit like SPECTRE. Be careful what you put out there, Calvin.
I loved Rogue Agent, it was immensly fun. Also they explained the 'blue blood' as shielding used by the soldiers.
Just wondering, is GoldenEye's retreat Goldfinger's ranch? It looks familiar.
Also can you come up with a conclusion as to why Oddjob tried to kill GoldenEye?
Pros:
Best soundtracks ever
Good variety of weapons
Neat Powers

overall: 7/10

the DS version at least lets you fight him as a final boss.
I love the ds version. It was the second game I had on it and, call it nostalgia, I just had fun with it

that would be fangasm
Strangely, I really wanted to see an Oddjob vs Jaws fight when I heard that this game would feature villains fighting each other.
I assume the "Bond's evil twin" theme was meant to be obvious because, as bad as his relationship with MI6 can be, Bond can genuinely depend on his comrades... but 'eye? SolarDragon007 you are describing the early 2000s game “Evil Genius”. Give it a look.
looooooooooooooooooooooooooool Oddjob completely disregarded in such a nonchalant manner lmfao
Great review, Calvin! Love your channel! It's one of my favorites on TH-cam!!
Thanks very much for your kind words :D

If they were gonna kill oddjob without a boss fight then they could have at least given you the hat as a weapon for a consolation prize
Are you going to do a Blood Stone 007 review as that one my favourite.
It's on the cards yes :)
ya that moment at 1:26 where oddjob dies is odd
games got a lot of those
was the idea that he was jealous of your character? was he interpreting the bomb as a betrayal? im not sure its explained...
I value this game simply because the constant onslaught of enemies helps to improve stamina for online multiplayer games. It can be grueling and it's rare to find a game with such pressure to keep going and not die.
"OH MY GAWD IT'S THE VOLCANO LAIR FROM YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE
IT'S THE ROOM FROM THUNDERBALL FJDSIAOFJDIFJ
*CHRIST* IT'S THE ROOM FROM DR. NO
OHMIGAWD WHERE'S THE SPIDER?
OH THE LEVEL DESIGN IS *INCREDIBAHL* "
Just a translation for the fanboy-ism in the middle there XD
Hey Calvin, the bit with the bleeping around Blofeld's name, was that inspired by Hughsnews? If so, good callback to a greatly underappreciated YT video from ages ago!
From Russia with Love personally is one of my absolute favorite Bond games.
That and Quantum of Solace are my favorite Bond games. After Goldeneye of course.
Wait, Seriously? His name is Jonathan Hunter?!
2:48 the best part of a video is the swearing😄😆🤣😂😹
Wait, why does Goldeneye kill Oddjob? If they both work for Goldfinger aren't they on the same side?
Guess Odd Job saw Goldeneye as a threat for his position as Goldfinger's bodyguard/ enforcer. Hence why he tried to kill him at the first chance he had.
Hey calvin. Are you going to reboot all you're bond movie reviews.
2:46 - "Wait, what?"
2:57 - Like he's pissed!
Crab key looked great at start of mission. With the sea , Audio.
A bit of Spectre foreshadowing at 12:00
When is your next video?
0:58 Uhh, I think you meant to say Diavolo’s Platinum Army, Calvin.
Drake was the bad guy from Nightfire with the bright idea of hijacking a U.S. Missile Defense space platform and using it to wipe out all of NATO’s bases and installations so his corporation could do a hostile takeover of the entire planet, not to mention having awesome laser guns and suitcase drones. 😆
Ah! Good catch! Yes bit of a mix up there on my part, you're quite right!
Sweet! Will the next review be coming soon?
Was that a kill bill reference when you were doing the bleeping
Great Work! When can we expect your new Thunderball review?
I've been putting it off and off and off... But... I'll probably have to face it some time soon... Maybe after FRWL game review ;)
Thanks for the reply! Understandable, since it's not really one of your favorites ;) Looking forward to it though. Keep up the good work.
Why no new video in nearly 4 months?
You ran that bleep joke into the ground Calvin haha you do that a lot hhaa great vid regardless
No, he didn't.
This game to me is like the donut that looks like it should be filled, but isn't:
It looks the part, but it's empty
As a non bond fan at the time of playing it I oddly really liked the game, I found it fun to play the multiplayer from time to time and the campaign was a lot more fun for me than hindsight shows. I've always held the opinion that the only games/movies that should be remaked are ones that turn out bad and with hindsight showing how poorly executed this fun concept was I think a modern re-do would be great if not for the legal mess that is the bond universe.
There's only so much content which can be added to the small Gamecube discs.
I wish that Cristopher Lee would've just comeback to a video game adaptation of The Man with the Golden Gun. It would've been awesome.
Sat through them scrolling names multiple times.
can't wait for the 'From Russia With Love' review, that and EON are my top Bond games and FRWL was the last great Bond game for me :)
4.25 whats Cortana doing in a Bond game?
Are you ever going to review the classic GoldenEye game for n64?
Oh eventually yes :)
Hey Calvin just saw The Bride Of Vernon and it's amazing the non stop motion picture is fantastic and it's really funny. Arguably my favourite non stop motion. But apart from this one I love fantastic mr fox as it's one of my favourite films of all time.
very interested in what you have to say about Blood Stone
Haven't played that one in a while now... Looking forward to revisiting it!
Nice, looking forward to your thoughts
Also for no bots, well I think this is because its the first Bond game (that isn't Nightfire for PC which IDK if you reviewed since its different from the console version) that had online MP support.
great review calvin can't wait for 007 FRWL review
First frame of the video, Guy on the left really has Timothy Dalton's likeness.
When are you doing the from Russia with love review??
So when are we going to see the From Russia With Love game reviewed?
Thank you for replying, that explination is good to here, good luck with life (Stay shaken my friend)
BLOFELD!
Will you do top 10 bond games
hey Calvin I love your channel it my 2nd favourite can you review 007 legends
BLOFELD AND SPECTRE....THERE I SAID IT! COME AT ME!
Are you going do blood stone review?
Yes indeed :D
can you make a Johnny English/ Austin powers parody review series
just so you know, you can switch your aiming to precise in the options. that should help if you ever play this game again
Please finish From Russia With Love Game, and the Thunderball Remake very soon!!!
I used the shield a lot in this game.
I have a question. If all james bond's had to fight each other who do you think would win
If it was a hand-to-hand fight, I'd say that the last two left standing would be Daniel Craig and George Lazenby. They had the superior fighting skills out of all the Bond's.
Im actually suprised about GL haha
I don't know if you've seen On Her Majesty's Secret Service. But if not, you should. Lazenby is a fucking badass. He is very fast and aggressive in his fight scenes. During his screen test, he broke a stuntman's nose. Which is one of the reasons why he was chosen for the role. I thought he was a good Bond personally, and I liked OHMSS.
Sorry for the late reply. Yes i have seen ohmss. I think it is good but a lot of other people dont rate it so well. My favourite bond has still got to be PB though.
Agreed. He's the one I grew up with, therefore, he is my favorite.
Never understood why they were like robots with the blue blood that comes off them
Looking forward to the From Russia with Love review.
Can you review the world is not enough for the n64 one day?
U deserve more subs and likes keep going :) also Nightfire is my fav!
It's obvious that you don't want a video game to be a video game. Complaining about the addition of super human abilities? Come on, they're fun. Saying that the weapons aren't good? Why? Also, silent protagonists are great.
Surprised McClory didnt ask for ownership of "Number 1", lol.
'Drake's platinum army?' I think you mean Diavolo ;)
Yeah... that was a bit of an amateur error really...
I loved FRWL when I was younger. I played it even more than I did nightfire. Looking forward to that review. Also hoping for your thunderball review as well (I want to know why you hate it so much besides the water scenes)
Also; I'm going to do all of the Bond games I have as Let's Plays and I'm STRONGLY considering not doing this one.
The multiplayer is decent in this one, really cool levels from the films. The ragdoll physics also add to the fun. Agent Under Fire's MP for life though.
hey calvin have you seen the weird cow with the golden gun easter egg in this game!!! if you havent look it up!!! its hilarious!!!
***** Who doesn't cash in on old franchise names? Bethesda have bought out ID Software and are cashing in on Doom for one example.
Good review! :)
The Multiplayer Maps were awesome, it would be wonderful if they came back in futue games! :)
About Goldfinger speaking German, maybe because Gert Fröbe was German?
***** Indeed Gert Frobe was German but in the film Goldfinger they describe him as being English... Don't know why they did just cut that line all together!
Calvin Dyson Ok, thx for pointing it out! Maybe just because 'Auf Wiedersehen' sounds (more) scary?
Calvin Dyson I thought Goldfinger was Austrian
I wonder if Thanos got inspiration from this game's Omen with the Infinity Gauntlet and snapping people out of existence.
That has been in the comics long before the movie universe. In fact that is where the plot of those movies comes from. Baring changes and additions.
Waiting for thunderball review...
The DS version of this game lets you fight oddjob as the final boss.
I always thought the blue blood was just their shield
Can you do an online game on goldeneye reloaded so you can play with your subs? I have you added on psn and it would be awesome to play goldeneye with you!
yes youre doing from russia with love youve reviewed all my bond games on xbox mean while i have many more on xbox 360
i dont have rouge agent though
