@ I don't know much about it, but saw it pop up and thought it might be worth a look. They are obviously wanting to get retired people from around the world there.
Great to see you both happy 🎉 Quick question we got the prices of the visa but what are the entry criteria that go with the visa? Keep posting on the channel we love watching them Kia Kaha
@@outofthebox8994 hi if you are over 50 and have the required amount of time in your passport you can get the visa. The visa company will sort all the bank monies out for you. That’s why you pay more as it’s all done 😁
Thanks for the vid mate…. That is pretty ok if you plan on staying 15 months - ($100 per month with the multi entry) Something that is worth considering as the usual 30 day with extension is too limited. International license from Oz is about $50 and lasts 12 months… So glad you are settling down and liking Thailand …. Some lovely seaside towns up and down the east coast like Hua Hin … I’ve been doing heaps of research as not going to stay in Oz as it is becoming so damn expensive to live and travel. We spent $100k last year just on basic living expenses , rego’s, insurances, health insurance, rates, water and cost of home ownership (we do not owe a cent to anyone), so add a couple of hols and we are at $130k -$150k …… ridiculous!
@ yep and we still get taxed although one of us is retired here. Australia is no longer the lucky country when it comes to cost of living - You both enjoy and savour the time together and the memories you’re making! ❤️
We live on 50k per year as retirees with all those expenses too plus that includes 1 or 2 holidays. If you are paying 100k you are overpaying for things, eat out a lot and register and insure lots of vehicles.
Interested to see how you perceive Hua Hin as a comparison to Jomtien/Pattaya. Have lived/stayed in Hua Hin off and on for over 24 months but never been to Pattaya.
The best way to get an Australian to buy something is put a stubby holder on it. It can have a dicky wheel or a busted combination lock but that doesn't matter. As long as the stubby holder works, she'll be right.
Hua Hin is a beautiful town which has a similar vibe to Sanur. Some ppl dont like it bc it “too slow” but i prefer living in a laid back town, as opposed to living in a busy town or city. As other viewers have mentioned I thk you and Karen will like Hua Hin. If you want western food, you can def find it there. Obviously there are a plethora of Thai restaurants and other different nationality restaurants available. English is widely spoken in Hua Hin also. If you have time go to Prachuap Khiri Khan. Life there is even slower but you might struggle finding your creature comforts. With that said Hua Hin, is only an hour away but you would need to have mastered basic Thai, to get by if wanting to live there permanently. Enjoy
Would you retire and get a long stay visa in Thailand?
@ 😁
