I took on the challenge of building my very first PC, and not just any build-an ITX build, known for being one of the toughest to put together! With zero prior experience, I jumped headfirst into this exciting project using the Fractal Terra case from Fractal Design, a stunning 10.4L small form factor (SFF) case.

    1:37 CPU Installation
    8:06 PSU Installation
    9:00 GPU Unboxing
    9:51 GPU Installation
    12:20 First Boot!

    14:26 Overall Setup
    14:43 Game Testing
Despite the complexity and cost of this build, I’m excited to share the results of my journey. For this build, I used top-tier components, including the ASUS Prime OC 4070 Super GPU, Ryzen 5 7600X CPU, and ASUS ROG X670E-I GAMING motherboard, among others. Building in such a compact case comes with its own unique set of challenges, especially when it comes to airflow and cooling-thankfully, the Noctua NH-L9x65 chromax.black cooler worked wonders in this setup.
To anyone thinking of attempting an ITX build, take your time, plan carefully, and don't be afraid to dive in, even if it's your first time like me!
    Build Specs:
    Case: Fractal Terra
GPU: Asus Prime OC 4070 Super
    CPU: Ryzen 5 7600X
Motherboard: ASUS ROG X670E-I GAMING WIFI (AM5)
    RAM: Kingston Fury Beast DDR5 32GB (2x16GB) 5600
    NVME M.2: WD BLACK SN850X 1TB
    CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-L9x65 chromax.black
PSU: ASUS ROG LOKI SFX-L 850W 80+ Platinum ATX 3.0
Monitor: HUAWEI MateView GT 34" Curve
    Keyboard: ASUS ROG AZOTH Wireless
    Mouse: Keychron M3 Wireless
    Mic: Fifine AM8
I also added a Thermalright AM5 Secure Frame V2 Black to ensure optimal CPU contact. Every detail matters in a small build!
Why I Chose ITX for My First Build: I wanted a compact, powerful, and aesthetically pleasing setup, and the Fractal Terra delivers just that. The case’s design allows for great airflow despite its size, and the movable motherboard tray made things easier than expected. Plus, who can resist that sleek minimalist design?
Sorry for the lousy colour grading

Looking to build my first PC after 20+ years and was checking out similar build with the Terra and 4070 Super, but started putting specs down with Intel Core i5 older gen. Will be for gaming only since I do my work on macOS. Definitely saving this to watch again when I'm closer to pulling the trigger.
Well done man, keep up the great work

4:19 ur thermal paste a bit too much my brother, a smaller x or dot at pea size is more than enough. other than that, great build! 😄😄

Yes!! I have tested the computer for a while and got quite high temps so I decided to re-applied the cpu with pea dot!

Nice video. You're air cooling ,right? Can you comment on the noise of this build? I read a lot that the Fractal Terra is no the most quiet case. How noisy does it get during idle and during gaming? thx

Yes, I'm using air cooling with the Fractal Terra for this build. The main reason I chose air cooling is because my GPU has three fans, leaving little room for an AIO setup. During idle, it's surprisingly quiet-I rely mainly on the Noctua CPU cooler, which works exceptionally well with the Ryzen 5 7600X, despite it running quite hot. I've also set my GPU to quiet mode when not gaming, which really helps minimise the noise.
However, I won't sugarcoat it-when gaming, it does get louder. All the fans kick in, including the GPU in normal and performance mode, and it's definitely noticeable but with earphone on while gaming it is not that noticeable. But considering the performance, it's a trade-off I'm willing to accept!

7:15 the lower M2 seems a bit bent my brother

Yes, I have noticed it. It was due to the thermal pad while doing the installation🥲. And it is quite hard to redo it although the system works fine!
