I love Dan Stevens since I first saw him in Sense and Sensibility, then Downton Abbey, and now he is here! He has fantastic soft, stroking voice and look at him - he is such a pleasant human being!
I've actually never seen Dan in anything until Beauty and the Beast, but after seeing him as the Beast/Prince I want to watch everything he's ever been in 😂. That voice and those eyes are to die for, and he did such a fantastic job in the movie!

I hardly recongised Dan as the prince in the end with the long blonde wig. His version is good too. Sure his not as hot tempered as the 1991 version but Dan was spot on too. That singing voice of Dan's was just ugh so good. Ooh and Dan growls like a lion in the end haha.

I guess they weren't really listening, just thinking _Menken_ 🤔... _yeah well, we've had enough of the man for decades!_ Other than that, there is no obvious reason not to lavish Alan Menken with recognition for _Evermore_ , which I consider to be one of his very best pieces. The song and the Beast's emotional breakthrough in it, along with Dan Stevens' portrayal, is pure perfection that we hadn't seen before this new adaption! 😍👌😢👏
My theory for why it was snubbed is because if every year you look at the nominees it’s almost always songs that came out recently,like Oscar committee has short term memory and only nominate recent releases,where Evermore was out in March, that or if you listen to the start of the song it’s taken from a melody used in the animated film and he already has Oscars for that and Menken did submit How Does A Moment Last Forever so maybe they couldn’t decide between the two,still should’ve been nominated,best film song of the year in my opinion.
I was somewhat concerned about Dan as the Beast, but my fears were wholly unfounded. He was quite possibly the best thing about this film. Granted some of what I loved was the animation of his face as the Beast, but his character as a whole was wonderful. I loved the film so much, and will definitely be watching it time and again :D
CGI,not animation,any animation wouldn't make it a live action,but yes he was amazing,eyes u cannot stop looking at And he had to do all his scenes twice,Emma technically did too,off camera while he was in the CGI booth doing motion capture of his face so he'd have something to react to.

He plays Matthew, the new heir to the title and Downton Abbey itself, because the current Lord Crawley has only daughters. Check it out!

I think he wore a wig when he turns into the prince with long hair at the end. He is actually pretty good looking. My crush has gorgeous blue eyes too & I told him he has gorgeous eyes once & he giggled & blushed.
He's extremely handsome, I'm just in awe. Perfect genetics, he should have children with someone who looks similar phenotype. It's unfortunate how rare such beauty is becoming.
speaking of genetics, he should maybe take those DNA tests since Dan is an adoptee (the couple who raised him isnt his real parents). the DNA of such a man who not only has all these amazing talents and good looks but is also bordering on genius level (check out his scholastic achievements its jaw dropping). sometimes i couldnt help but wonder if Dan is the first successful genetically created baby that scientists just sneakily released to the world and watch how he does in it.
I like the scene where Mrs Potts says that the servants did nothing while the young prince was corrupted by his evil father. As if she is accepting the punishment of the enchantress, and trying to find a way to undo the harm. This is not in the original cartoon.
