Abandoned Mine Exploration of the Colossal Underground Summit Copper Mine

This abandoned mine is BIG. Over 5 miles of underground workings were carved into the mountain to extract copper, along with lead, zinc, and molybdenum. The historic mining began in 1881 and continued to around World War 2. What's unique about this mine is that the adit we enter is actually a tunnel! There are entrances on both sides of the mountain to gain access to the orebody that is situated in the center of the mountain.

I watched this in 2160p HDR, and it looked incredible! Beautiful job on the editing. I never saw the collapse you show at 19:00 which prevented us from making it all the way through the mountain. Glad to have finally seen that. I liked your safety message near the end of this video’s description. Well-written!

Hey, Frank! Thank you so much! I've been sitting on this one for a while now. It took like 3 edits before I published it, lol! I really got a sense of where we ventured in this one while editing. We barely experienced a fraction of it! I put that safety verbiage in a few videos back after I had said "how to" in one of my videos. Kept it ever since. Gotta protect my neck! Lol! I hope to get out there soon with you and the rest of our little clan!
