I do! There are a couple different methods of attachment. I’ll start with those and then we can walk thru the process of removing, repairing, and resetting the handle. We’ll have to title it “advanced skill” rosewood repair because it’s a delicate and deliberate process. I do have 4 or 5 videos already in the hopper so I’ll get them posted and start on the 45. 👍
Hi Gordon, I have a question for you, no the 55, do you know what the screw, by the slitting blade area is for, as I can not find any information for it, thanks
It's always amazing how you make the repair disappear.
Thank you! I appreciate the comment and I always try to point out the “secrets” that make the difference.
Very nicely done and matched
Thank you for the compliment and I appreciate you taking time to watch!
Nice work!
Thank you! I appreciate the comment👍
Awesome Gordon!
Thank you!
Great result.
I have a few 45s/55s that I have to remove handle scales for repairs. Do you have something like that lined up for future tutorials?

Hi Garry, I really have no experience at all with the 55 but a know a few guys that do. I’m going to use a “call a friend” and get back with you. 👍
May I ask whom makes your rasp. nice job
Yes! My apology for not seeing your question…. I use Iwasaki rasps almost exclusively now. You can find them online and in Woodcraft stores.
