I just saw the review on Wood Wright. I got interested in your shop. I will definitely follow you. I love your story. As a beginner woodworker and a mechanical engineer, you interest the heck out of me. Hope to order 2 chisels when I get my shop up and running. I was never as excited as I was when I went through the Lie Nielsen shop. But you are truly fascinating.
Please show how you make socket tang chisels. Not all the details if it's proprietary, but I'd like to see the difference between socket and socket tang chisels.
I've been following you on TH-cam since you started, and thankyou for all the informative videos. I like the way you make everything yourself from the ground up, in your own workshop, and how you appreciate quality tools. I'm a fencing contractor and woodworker in New Zealand, and I work in the same way, with workmanship, and buying only quality tools etc. And like the previous comment by Ron, I would also really like to see a video of your workshop and all the different tools you use.
You are right , quality is what use to come out of American made products, but if you are fortunate enough too even find a company that produces the product you’re looking for in America today, cost ( unless you’ve unlimited funds), would prevent you from purchasing it. So, what do you do , you buy Chinese, it’s cheap works ( if you’re lucky) and dream!

Very informative video! I would love to see a video tour of your shop and workspace.
All the best, Andrew.

Beautiful work.
In the smaller/narrower chisels you could shorten the tang of the end cap to end up with a more balanced tool.
Very true love this video
