He is a natural entertainer always brilliant...once saw him and Norman wisdom ad-lib for 1 hr amazing show. Natural entertainers...
i lived in nearby byfleet and used to see cliff around Addlestone and Tesco brooklands where he used to shop a lot

Elvis will always be top of Rock/Roll in USA- but Sir Cliff in my eyes u are recognised as the English Gentleman/Legend - u are tops in England/worldwide and ur fans love u- ur accolades/interviews originate/ recognised u as their Pop/Rock entertainer in England of course due to ur hard work and tenacity! I grew up with Sir Cliff and the Shads as my parents were big fans. Unlike other figures like Jimmy Savile he has never struck me as someone who would hurt or abuse anyone. When he went through that whole BBC thing he looked so visibly upset it was upsetting to me. Respect to Sir Cliff.

Cliff when are you going to do an album w/the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra as many other singers have now done Ie Rod Stewart, Roy Orbison etc
He did, in 1982, its called "Dressed For The Occasion"

Interesting convo - getting deep into the integral. Feel for the pain he was put thru 😢. Why no mention of his sexuality? It could have helped people (and him) if he was open. I guess at 80 it ain’t gonna happen.

Really? How so, Paul is from Liverpool!
@@MissJensk1 the pitch and intonations. Paul has lost his Liverpool accent a bit. He still sounds “Northern English” to me, but the Scouse inflections aren’t as pronounced.
@@WoodJack99 I disagree. PM has a higher pitched voice than Cliff, I personally think Paul still has a pronounced Liverpool accent. Cliff grew up in Hertfordshire, not the North.
@@MissJensk1 you may be right. I’m American, so I wouldn’t know as well. To me, Ringo has the more pronounced Scouse accent than Paul but I could be wrong.
@@WoodJack99 Ha-ha yeah well don't we Brits all sound the same to you? :-) I'm from the North myself so I'm used to the Scouse accent. Now funnily enough, I think Ringo has picked up quite a bit of an American sound. I always wanted to visit the States, never made it though.

Great interview. Genuine nice guy, I have met him a lot of times, and he is the best. He has proved it by his fantastic fan base, and his successful career. No-one else has had album chart success in eight decades.
