Your Yelena looks so awesome! This is how the figure should have been out of the package. It's baffling to see Hasbro not put in the minimum effort to make their fans happy.
I got Spiral at the official release of 2023. So she is actually the number one legend of the year for me out of all of them. But Widow is number 2. The only reason she isn't number one. And it is hard cause both are equally amazing in their own way. I might as well have done a list like this. It feels like the women were the best of the best. Though I put the WCA pack Tigra. I always loved that character. The last one had so much promise. But the head didn't feel right and the color was too dark Orange. The new one is perfect. Also for mine, I have Dark Phoenix cause I never got the previous one. Monet is very impressive. Spiral, Black Widow, Elektra, Monet, Tigra Dark Phoenix are all in my top ten with Longshot, Starlord (Retro Walmart) Corsair and I'm still deciding on a 10th.

Incredible list Xmanny. The ML team did a great job on Black Widow and it is deserving to be on most peoples "best of lists" for 2023. My wish is that ML uses the Black Widow buck as a standard for most female characters. I want to wish you a Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones. Clea's twirling effects are fire bro. The Outback X-Men team roster is next on my agenda. As for Monet St Croix, I wanna get her, but in her Krakoa era X-Men apparel which is the same as her Uncanny Avengers aka Captain America's Unity division gear. Monet's one of my favorite female X-Men as is Rogue, so they need to have some respect put on their name. Speaking of Rogue, her outback era costume is my favorite, next to the danger room practice session uniforms, the ones most of the team wore during their time living in the Outback after world thought they were dead. An absolute must to get for that team is Polaris when her powers went wonky after Malice left her body, robbing her of her magnetic powers temporarily, granting her extreme superhuman strength Been Grimm The Thing levels, but also temporary. I'm thinking they may 4 to use a She-Hulk body, but I want it lol

Another great top 10. I watch as many as I can to date Black Widow is the undisputed #1. To get dynamic poses on the Hawkeye Skycycle, is difficult without foot pegs.
@Xmanny87 no mine is very stable. Instead of foot pegs, l attached a rubber band on one foot, then run it on the underside & get the other foot. Pose away.

I haven't held this one personally but while we're shouting at the void, I also want drop-down hips. if there were a GI Joe Classified female that was just in spandex there would never be a need to tolerate any of these other Marvel Legends figures (given unlimited time and paint 😅). single jointed elbows, on a top 10 list? ridiculous 😝 one point of torso articulation? embarrassing! Power Rangers Lightning collection mops the floor with all of these including Black Widow. 🤷 I'm just not a Power Rangers fan. I'll repaint them for sure rather than but any one of these. I have an X23 that used to be a Yellow Ranger before I took it out of the package and sent its helmet to the bottom of my parts bin -- a little nail polish remover and some new paint, and belt from a Jean Grey (🤮) and there you go. ok, it was a project, but I have an X23 that I don't hate. Her #Gross tween upper torso has simplified articulation. The glue down 'skin' chest piece looks wonky up close. Overall the figure in genral- cuts the silhouette of A 14yr old girl. The good long haired head is more Jean Grey than Natasha. And it has an abb crunch- that you'll never use when posing. In the History of Marvel Legends, there has never been A more over-praised female figure! That when posing is the SAME as BW figures from years past.

Completely agree that this was a very good year for female Marvel Legends. IMHO, the head sculpts, in general, were the best in this scale, and that includes imports. It was really nice to see Monet St. Croix place so highly in a top ten. I think she’s one of the best 2023 Marvel Legends in general, male or female. On the other hand, I’m sad to see no love for Sersi, but you’re certainly not alone. I think the jacket with the holes around the arms on the overlay and the lack of the Avengers symbol on the sleeves might have done her in, but for me, she was a Grail. In 2024, I want to see Crystal as well. Hell, give me a “Crystal Through the Years” five pack! 😛 I also want to see a classic New Warriors Namorita, a classic Valkyrie, and a classic She-Hulk. Less obvious options that would make me happy include Husk, Shanna, Meteorite, classic Moonstone, Red She-Hulk, Princess Python, and Diamondback.
I agree a lot with what you said. I wanted to put Sersi on here so bad but unfortunately, it disappointed me in the end. Like some of the things you pointed out. Then I don’t like the body type they chose for her as those scrawny legs are so gummy. Beautiful head sculpt but they forgot to put her red headband. So yeah, it bummed me out but happy to have her in my collection and I want some comic Eternals.
Totally agree with you about the Sersi figure. I am a huge fan of the sexy green outfit comics version and i do wish the same quality for that character as a figure.

It’s the practical line that enables versatility and variety at a cheaper price poin, which obviously works. If it didn’t, xmanny wouldn’t be covering these figures.(which seem to be 75% of the content)

I only got 10 female Marvel Legend figures this year, so my number 10 is only there by default, because I can't stand her figure: 10) Aunt May (I just wanted the Doc Ock... don't give a damn about May) 9) Black Widow Infinity Saga (The ScarJo head sculpt is nice, but the body isn't) 8) Sersi (Good looking figure, but lacking something to make her pop) 7) Jessica Drew Spider-Woman (I love this costume look better than her original) 6) Moondragon (The cloak gets in the way, but still a nice looking figure) 5) Psylocke 275 3-pack (Not my preferred costume, but until they re-release that one, I like this version) 4) Rogue X-Men 97 (I missed the retro version, so glad to get this one... fantastic figure) 3) Dark Phoenix (I got mine in January, so she counts... such a great figure) 2) Black Widow 60th Anniversary (I can't believe we got so much for so little cost! Hey there, thank you but relax! Calm down on the passion just a little bit. I did give MJ an honorable mention so she’s acknowledged. We all have our opinions but saying Black Widow isn’t as acrobatic as the likes of Spider-Man is preposterous knowing that she’s defeated Spider-Man before in the comics and battling him mid-air. The butterflies ain’t as bad as you make it out to be. The ab crunch is fine but the upper torso cut is what needs work to crunch over more which is what I acknowledged. And don’t ever challenge me on posing as my posing game is always on point. Lol. Jks. I always welcome it. I was playing with those black widows and I can pull off poses but this one gives me a little more flexibility. That “little more” makes all the difference to me. I think you missed the biggest key point that I mentioned and It comes down to the advancements like that finally being added into the line for the females where we at long last get the butterfly joint and double diaphragm combo on the torso. Thats the biggest takeaway. Whether you like her teenage looking torso (as you described it) or not. It’s about finally getting those advancements into the line. It’s not overrated. Just say you don’t like it as that’s the place it sounds where you are coming from with your reasons. lol. With that said, happy holidays to you and yours. Stay safe my friend.

An Its because that tiny torso; doesnt allow the physical space for real butterfly's. Thus they're not _"advancements."_ Im telling ya, compare New BW to the Retro or even the Rider. Or Kitty from the 3 pk. *There's No honest Posing advancements- besides the abb cruch, which you'll never honestly use* (unless you have her doing strange contortionist yoga). & IMO I will never think of BW as an "Acrobat." Not on the same "Super Hero" / "Super Villain" level as DD, Spidey's, Catwoman, Black Cat, Greyson/ Nightwing, Ragdoll, Super NiNJA's. To me BW is an invasive, trained Assassin. 1) Spiral (Like Dark Phoenix, I got her in January, so she counts... one of the greatest female figures ever made... the multiple arms are incredibly well-done and I'm surprised they gave her six weapons at the same price point as a normal Legends release)
For those that got Spiral this year, she will surely dominate the lists again.

An that traingle glue-down central chest 'skin' piece; looks Wonky up close. Yes, Her extras rock! But the good long haired head- is more _late 80's_ X-Factor Jean Grey than Natasha. And Overall the figure cuts the embarrassing silhouette of A 14yr old girl. Plus it has butterfly joints that don't even "Butter-Fly", because the torso is to small. The room for A proper butterfly doesnt exist. And also, the abb crunch is worthless! You'll likely never use it when posing cause she's not A Spidey, DD, Ragdoll or A Nightwing/ acrobat type of character. Thus,,, _I challenge you Manny, break out an older Widow figure & try to put that New Widow figure in A realalistic pose that the older version can't do._

Hey there, thank you but relax! Calm down on the passion just a little bit. I did give MJ an honorable mention so she’s acknowledged. We all have our opinions but saying Black Widow isn’t as acrobatic as the likes of Spider-Man is preposterous knowing that she’s defeated Spider-Man before in the comics and battling him mid-air. The butterflies ain’t as bad as you make it out to be. The ab crunch is fine but the upper torso cut is what needs work to crunch over more which is what I acknowledged. And don’t ever challenge me on posing as my posing game is always on point. Lol. Jks. I always welcome it. I was playing with those black widows and I can pull off poses but this one gives me a little more flexibility. That “little more” makes all the difference to me. I think you missed the biggest key point that I mentioned and It comes down to the advancements like that finally being added into the line for the females where we at long last get the butterfly joint and double diaphragm combo on the torso. Thats the biggest takeaway. Whether you like her teenage looking torso (as you described it) or not. It’s about finally getting those advancements into the line. It’s not overrated. Just say you don’t like it as that’s the place it sounds where you are coming from with your reasons. lol. With that said, happy holidays to you and yours. Stay safe my friend.
@@Xmanny87 Widow's Butterflys don't even "butterfly" though...... The range differentials- between New BW & others on that "tween" torso are virtually idenical. An Its because that tiny torso; doesnt allow the physical space for real butterfly's. Thus they're not _"advancements."_
Im telling ya, compare New BW to the Retro or even the Rider. Or Kitty from the 3 pk. *There's No honest Posing advancements- besides the abb cruch, which you'll never honestly use* (unless you have her doing strange contortionist yoga).

IMO I will never think of BW as an "Acrobat." Not on the same "Super Hero" / "Super Villain" level as DD, Spidey's, Catwoman, Black Cat, Greyson/ Nightwing, Ragdoll, Super NiNJA's. To me BW is an invasive, trained Assassin. A martial artist/ weapons/ small machinery & explosives specialist.. Anyhow, THANKS FOR THE VIDEOS Manny.
