    Driven mine 16 years.
    Only issue is that is keeps going and lasts that we will not be able to buy a new vehicle for another 10 years

    I bought my first Ridgeline in 2006 and drove it for ten trouble-free years. I started off thinking it was the ugliest truck on the market. After selling that truck and trying a couple of other vehicles, I missed the truck so much that I bought a slightly used 2013, and I love it too. I just washed and waxed it yesterday, and I can’t tell you how weird this is, but I now think it is a beautiful truck. I love the quirky styling! It is a pleasure to drive and no problems at all. I feel lucky to own it. I’m sorry for your problems.

    A fish?!😂 Hey, I own a 2008 Ridgeline and other than gas mileage it’s a solid truck! 139k and still going strong!❤

    I agree with Nicky, also have a 2013 Ridgeline RTL, running like a champ over 130,000 and know of one that has over 300,000 miles. Never had leaks problems but had to replace my roof liner a while ago since it became unglue. When the weather is good disconnect the traction control, mileage improves as well as acceleration.

    Love my rigdeline got a 2010 and it is an amazing car bought it cause of its trunk space perfect for my tools makes my life easier drives better then any truck solid body not unibody drives like a suv smooth

    I always referred to the body style as an S10 avalanche if they had made one one of the main reasons I bought 1st Gen over a 2nd generation.
    I avg 20-21 mpg on highway in my 09
    And yes the rust does bother me mostly around rear wheelwells and rocker panels. I've never noticed any leaks in mine but the headliner is falling down so might be because of that. I did fix the headliner with glue and headliner pins. I've never noticed any problems with uphill deceleration I use cruise control quite a bit on highway but I will be paying much more attention from now on.
    I love my ridgeline I tow my 15 ft start craft boat or a trailer loaded with 5 kayaks and canoes

    Honda was ahead of their time with this design. You see these design cues now cropping up in off road pickups and of course the extreme wedge shape as seen in Tesla's new "Cybertruck". Had a lot of Sx in my Ridegline back on 05'. Lot's o' room in the back seat. :P

    Mine is an 06 with 194k on it. The styling looks 10x better when you put a stock roof rack on it. It really does help. I like the original styling more than the newer models. I agree on the fuel economy though. Absolutely agree on the rust too.... Haven't had the issues with the body rust too much, probably because I had it sprayed with undercoating when I bought it... but the bumper and tow bracket rust is absolutely god awful. Thankfully haven't had the leaking issue (of course now that I know of that being an issue I'm fully expecting it to start lol), I have also noticed the down shifting on uphills as well especially when using cruise control. The ridgeline handles much more like a car than an F150 or the like, though I'm not a fan of the turning radius. My fathers expedition has a much tighter turning radius than the ridgeline. That said it has really well thought out features. The Trunk is great.

    I have a 2006 and the only thing I can say that bugs me about it in the 18 years that I’ve had it so far is a little bit of noise from the power steering when it’s cold when you takeoff other than that, it’s been the best truck I ever had and I still drive it today.I pull a 24 foot RV camper every summer I just love my Ridgeline

    Check throttle body for being dirty. If dirty and cleaned it will make a big difference on throtle response therefore less downshifting when climbing or towing. Pretty small list of bad things for a 17 year old vehicle😁. try cleaning your steering wheel, mine looked like that and cleaned right up.

    what year is your ridgeline?

  • @wilmarbarrick3194
    @wilmarbarrick3194 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    You can use a product like Eastwood 2k self‐leveling seam sealer to fix the leaking along the roof rack rails. Pop the cover off: use a nylon bristle brush to clean the accumulated dirt: dam up the ends and flow it in. It's a semi-liquid that will flow around everything and seal the seam located along the whole channel. You can also use marine epoxy (I saw you have a boat) if you're familiar with it. Just don't overfill channel... you dont want it to drip onto other parts of vehicle. Give it a day to cure and you're good to go. 👍

    • @703Speed
      @703Speed  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for the suggestion! I've heard about doing this.. Do I need to paint over the seam sealer, or leave it as it is? Been meaning to fix it.. Now that you've mentioned it, I will get it done and potentially make a video about it

    • @wilmarbarrick3194
      @wilmarbarrick3194 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@703Speed not really. It will be covered up by the cover that you initially popped off. If it were in an exposed area you would need to paint. I mean, if you were a professional body shop i guess you would paint it... but I've never seen anyone ever pop the roof rack channel looking for paint. Here is the general process for a similar product. The vehicle doesn't have that plastic cover so it needs to primered and painted but yours won't as you won't be able to see it.
      th-cam.com/video/HxRRRoq2Cfk/w-d-xo.html
      Be sure to use a product that 'self levels'. You want it to flow and find the crack/hole. Traditional seam sealer is more like a messy caulk and you might not get hole filled.
      This will show what ridgeline channel looks like
      th-cam.com/video/7BP5wk9iI6s/w-d-xo.html
      Good luck if you choose to do it.

    Ok guys let me tell you something…I am towing trailers every day for uhaul(Uboxes)it is my work truck and it does it perfectly fine! But I don’t get more than 13 miles in city my Ridgeline is lifted and it looks so much better so I don’t care I ll take looks over mpgs. One more important thing!! My tailgate can not be closed so I drive it like that, guys my honda started driving like crazy, I got better mpg better acceleration a whole different truck!!! Truck bed is very deep and creates all this spinning winds that are slowing the car down

  • @richardkrentz7553
    @richardkrentz7553 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I have a 2009 and not any issues with it. Just big enough for family moves where an over grown $70,000 to 90,000 gas guzzler monster truck is not needed. I don't go off roading because that's not what the Ridgeline was designed to do. I like the body styling and if you check out the GMC, Caddy, and Chevy you'll see the same style and people are not complaining. Truck beds are almost the same . This vehicle is perfect for carrying 5 people and small loads. There is ample storage places throughout the vehicle.
    I agree that gas mileage could be a little better. On average I see 17 city and 20 on the highway. I always use cruise control which does a better job than my gas pedal. I have seen 23 mpg on long runs on the Interstate at 70 mph. Ride is perfect and comfortable.
    There have been no leaks or rust (I live in California) . I tow a 21 ft boat with ease and stability. There is a 5000 pound limit which does not affect me as I don't haul heavy loads. The only problem I've had is the headliner loosening in a few small spots where the factory did not apply enough adhesive for it to stay tight in corners. Honda wants a fortune to replace the headliner which is of course over the warranty time. I used a couple push pins and that is sufficient.
    I am happy with this Ridgeline and at 150,000 miles and no problems I'm satisfied and will probably buy another one.

    Bro my 13 ... Just started leaking..all four pillars inside by headliner leaks and now have status. The sunroof drains have been cleared and still didn't fix it. U ended up removing those roof trims , cleaning there roof channel if debrus , and re sealing everything with 3m automotive sealant.. from windshield to the rear , both sides. Then i put the roof trim back in.. so far 3 days of heavy rain and it did not leak. Not sure if this will be safe for long. But that reason alone made me think about buying a 19 .RL I had a 2020 passport and 16pilot both with 9ps and auto stop feature . And i hated them both. So would like to suck to a 6spd. How has your truck been this far?

    • @703Speed
      @703Speed  ปีที่แล้ว +1
