May I suggest Wardner (also known as Pyros)? It was one of the first side scrolling action platform games I completed in the arcades way back in the late 80's on just one 10p 😃. Awesome game and an underrated hidden gem IMO.
Back in 87 we used to skive off school and play Wardner in the arcades. I think it's on level two you can keep walking backwards and forwards shooting the baddies for a mega score. You can earn enough points for an extra man and then some so a 10p can last a very long time

Among those shoot em up, "Lock on" is a rip-off (More than a bottle) of carrier Airwing. XD
Also, Hammer Away is actually an unreleased prototype.
The only game that never had any clones/rips off was Pac Man 😉
