I'd have to be PAID a great deal more money to live anywhere in New York!
@@Lilactime402 Salaries are higher in NY, but rarely enough to make up the difference in taxes and living costs. I'd be making $50k or so more in NYC, but my standard of living would be lower.
What sets Cash Jordan apart from all the other realtors showing their apartments and houses? A wonderful play-by-play of the neighborhood and his interior designer suggestions. Watching you, Cash, is better than a cup of coffee (especially Starbuck's) to get me started every day!

Exactly! And i love that he mentions the dimensions of the rooms. Even though I'm not in NY, it's been really helpful in my apartment search knowing what different room dimensions look like and what the could potentially fit
EXACTLY. I noticed on a recent collaboration video with Erik Conover of a tiny apartment, Cash’s video was more fun because he captured getting trapped on the roof of the building. Erik’s video was more serious and curated. As the saying goes, “different strokes for different folks”
That's a decent rent for this studio. If it was me, I'd put one of those fireplace candles in there that mimics a real fireplace. Personally I'd have a Murphy bed so I could use the living space to the max.
I love those murphy beds! You can get ones that strap in your quilt and have a desk underneath.😊
Ah, those uptown built in bookshelves reappear. I love those. Also, this is massive for a studio and great light and view. Not much to complain about at all.

If I were looking to move to NYC, I'd get this place in a HEARTBEAT. Facing the park is already a plus, also soooo many ways to set this up and make it really feel like a cozy and liveable space.
This studio is so big that they could easily have made a bedroom. I'm glad that they didn't because it's lovely.

There is no good way to have a window in the bedroom and living space, which is probably why it’s a studio.

The word joy in the dictionary has a new meaning. Joy.........Cash finding a medicine cabinet in the bathroom! His expression is priceless! I hope Violet is old enough to appreciate how funny her dad is. Love this apartment.......could make a real home out of this one. Someone for sure will fall in love with this.
The best studio I've ever seen! a lot nicer than many one bedroom apartments, the neighbourhood is beautiful and it has everything you need.
I love the really old classical buildings. And this spot really makes it work! $1900 is a sweet price for a studio large enough for a couple, and it'd be great if you're single too.

The “nice & quiet” has my full attention. This is soooooo important in NYC.
DSW took over that corner when Filene’s Basement shuttered. This apartment is near all transportation. The M5 runs downtown on Riverside drive, M79 runs crosstown & subway service is on Bdway. There’s a nice secluded cafe under the turnabout on 79th street. The pristine Riverside park speaks for itself 🌺
This is fantastic for a studio. I can get over the slightly outdated kitchen even.
Violet is such a lovely name, Cash 🟣. Later when she takes Spanish at school her teacher will call her Violeta.

Love the 'Classic NY!" A dog walking park. Sweet! 3:57 Beautiful building and entrance. My diy idea's are screaming! I would use nice wooden boxes in the bookshelves for a dresser and extra kitchenware. I would put the bed to the side of the windows and create a 5' x 7' screen to separate the living area from the bed and place a small corner couch against the screen. Use a 8x10 rug to ground the living area. Place a small 2 person table against the kitchen wall next to the fridge. This will leave an open walkway to everything. There are very nice apartment friendly white marble or white wood grain contact paper for the counter tops and kitchen door fronts to modernize the kitchen. WORTH 1900? YOU BET YOUR .... it is
Most of my "stuff" is my books...finally, a place to put them! Kinda dislike the kitchen, though.
Almost perfect except the bathroom door is next to the oven.
You would get some nice cooking smells from the kitchen, but does it work both ways?

This is a gem! Only real drawback seems to be no laundry in the building. Love the aesthetics and the neighborhood.
The roasting of various businesses is my favorite thing. Given my experience with BoA, I'm definitely leaning toward criminal enterprise.
This studio is dope. If I were moving to NY, I would 100% want it. The bath is good and the kitchen is functional, but the actual apartment space is awesome.

Ahhh, this is what a classic New York apartment should be! Soooo beautiful! That main room is refreshment for the soul with those huge windows, fireplace, gleaming floors and graceful curved wall. *sigh*
The best thing I take away from Cash's local tours is the easy accessibility to so many things. I cannot walk to anything where I live. It's a nightmare.
I have to drive just to get to the local convenience store (which isn't very convenient). That's what I would love. Being able to actually walk somewhere to get something simple like a coffee, a sandwich or a lottery ticket. 💖❤💖
This is the biggest plus about living in NYC. Also all the late night/24 hour spots.

I love this studio. I do a lot of crafts and the storage is spot on. I would put a narrow rolling table in the kitchen for a microwave, my Keurig, and for prepping. My mothers name is Violet.

This studio would be perfect for a raised bed (the ceilings are high enough) with an oversized headboard and an upholstered bench at the foot of the bed. I have seen this done before and it was amazing. I would choose an extravagant bed cover and too many decorative pillows. I am short, so this is the kind of bed you need a step stool for😄. I would find a place for one of those huge mirrors you lean against the wall. I think I would need to put up some type of window coverings for night though, because just as the big beautiful windows allow you to have so much light and a view of the park, they would allow people to look up and in. I love that the built in bookcases and fireplace were not removed in an earlier renovation. Other than having a space for my dream bed, I would furnish the apartment much like Cash describes, I think he has some type of design in his background. In the kitchen, the cupboard doors could be refaced or exchanged to upgrade it. I would volunteer myself or my husband to do the labor if the landlord paid for the materials, then I would take my measurements to a materials salvage store and find cabinet doors that fit (I know it isn’t that easy, but it is something I have always wanted to try). Also, the bathroom may be small, but it is updated very elegantly. I know this approximately 350 square foot studio (not including kitchen and bath) will be rented by the end of the week and I hope that individual(s) will fall in love with it and appreciate it’s beauty.

The main room and natural light and period details right across from the park is fantastic. The kitchen...not so much. But it's a nice size studio that could be set up to look really awesome. And Cash, you're becoming a regular stand-up comic:-)
Oh I got excited with this studio, Cash!! My first studio suite brings back phenomenal memories!! I hope whoever grabs this lovely suite, in such a gorgeous area, by the park (which I love) enjoys it sooo much!! Great video!! Love them!! :-)

I used to live in NYC back in 2017 and now watching all these videos I wish this channel exists back then! Really love your channel and watch all your new videos just to get a feel of NYC again through every frame of the city in each video, and relive the memories :) Your energy is really admirable too!
My apartment is located in a very similar situation. A park right across the street and then a highway right next to the park. Now you might think that's the life and it is, half the time. But let me tell you, if you live In a ground floor and their is a park across the street, pass it up. You are in the rats danger zone. If you have trees right in front of your windows, be prepared to wake up at 5 am in the spring and summer because of the singing birds. Those damn birds sound horrible. Nice apartment but seriously consider an apartment facing the back and in a higher floor

@@woodcider lol i have insomnia so it's very difficult for me stay asleep most nights. And some of them do sound nice but there are some that sing horribly
TRUTH! ALSO, park facing on a lower floor in the summer is noisy & incredibly annoying. I did that in my 20's & it made me nuts.

I love this apartment! The built in shelves sell it for me! I'd rather have a new bathroom and old kitchen, if I need to choose. I come for the apartment tours, I stay for the neighborhood tours and the weird looks the people on the street give you when you're walking by.
Thanks to your videos, the number one thing I will look for when touring new homes is a sprayer for the kitchen sink. I also like how you point out the features/services for a place.
