That was so heartwarming!! For a young man, he is so gentle with the animals. He has a very relaxing voice and is patient. I did not know you could train ducks to do what you want them to. I love your farm with all the flowers and gardens and your peaceful life.
This was such an enjoyable memory. I haven’t thought about peonies in a long time. Mother use to have some beautiful, pure white ones many years ago. I don’t know remember what happened to them but they were lovely. That was so sweet of that lovely lady to send you special flowers from her garden that meant so much to her. I call them memory flowers- yes they bring back the special memories and mean the most. It does not matter the cost of the flower….but the memories it has brought to you and know you can share with others. You are giving a piece of yourself when you share your special flowers.💐
We stopped in last Saturday the 19th and visited your farm and the scenery was beautiful. We talked with Keith for a bit and bought some dried flowers and I made an arrangement. He told me to send you a picture but I'm not sure how.
My fav is sarah burnhard 😀 Thanks for your great tips on peonies. Mine is on third year i hope they will give me more bloom this year for bare root! My potted one bloom abundantly the 2nd year 😄
😊 I love all things peony! I seem to collect lilacs and peonies but the plants are still pretty small. 😢 it has to be a lesson in patience and making an investment in the future. But, my lilacs, which are going on year 3 are putting on buds. It feels like the waiting and wondering were worth it!
I love the look of peonies. They're so decadent in a bouquet. I bought 2 bare roots Jan Van Leeuwen (2 seasons ago). I didn't know then just how long they take to get to the cut flower stage. I'll be keeping an eye out for a pink peony this season. Pink is my fav. How often should they get watered? I have drip irrigation and I think mine got over watered last season because the foliage died.
Peonies are one of my favorite flowers. I'm in zone 5b and my peonies don't bloom until end of May or June. I leave my rings on all the time. I grow all the types of peonies. Everything is early this year and maybe they'll bloom sooner. Bonny
Right on Brayden!! I had a good chuckle - you are certainly getting imprinted on Gertrude. I am hopeful my peonies made the winter as it is first year. Will see. Amazing to see how your garden is growing. Looks lovely. Thanks for the great information about peonies. Good video!
I have had no problems with my tree peony. Of course they don't need any staking. You have to leave the woody part in place all year. It blooms much earlier than the herbaceous varieties. I let the grafted plant bloom and then the rootstock plant also blooms later. Both are beautiful and prolific
I live in Kentucky and have about 30 herbaceous peonies on my small city lot. I also have 5 tree peonies. I think they are easy to grow. The tree peonies can take a little more shade. The one in the most shade does not bloom. I like them all and would have more but no room.
I just found your channel!!! I'm hooked, thank you for the information on Peonies ! I have tree Peonies along with the old fashion Sara Bernhardt(love the fragrance ) all are in full sun and do fantastic . I do have to spray to keep ahead of fungel issues. Peonies have always been my favorite flower.
Thanks for your informative video! I saw you don’t use landscape plastic/fabric in all your fields. Do you prefer to have it or not? If you could do again what would be your choice? Thanks!
I love the Ito peonies they're my favorite because of the mixture between your tree peeing in your regular panty and they just they're just so beautiful they don't get the black spot on them they they're so much stronger they just in there the big yellow flowers or whatever color you want it's so pretty okay talk to you later bye
When I moved to a new house, I found two peony plants under a big tree in a shady area, however don't know the variety, one of the plants developed a small white bud that fell off, so I'm not sure what was happening to the plants, I did move both peonies to my side yard last month, and to my delight, it is growing. It's sandy soil and I put tomato cages around both plants and excited to see if I have any luck this year. I found your video very informative, and very jealous of your peony field.
I have several peonies; however they only last 1 to 2 weeks :( I almost fell out of my chair when you said yours will bloom for 6 weeks. But I am guessing yours last this long because you go into a dry spell. We get rain fairly regularly through spring and summer. The flower heads get beat up by the rain which can be heavy at times and they lose their petals quickly.
I have never done that but I think they would do well, I have a few I have not gotten into the ground and are in pots for over a year and they are doing great still.
With those peony rings that open, another trick if the plant is bigger is to open the ring, put it near the bottom of the plant, close the ring and pull it up, then push the legs in...ask me how I figured that out 🤣
Hallo from South Africa, where we are at the start of winter. I can not grow peonies, as there are not enough freeze hours in our winters. Where is Emma?
I hope your goose isn’t a gander? From previous experience ganders LOVE chasing you ! 🪻🌷💚🙃 oh yup I heard you call the goose Gertrude which be funny name for a gander. 🤭🪻🌷💚🙃
That was so heartwarming!! For a young man, he is so gentle with the animals. He has a very relaxing voice and is patient. I did not know you could train ducks to do what you want them to. I love your farm with all the flowers and gardens and your peaceful life.
Brayden has the warmest of hearts and is such a joy
Gertrude and your son are adorable 😊

Well thank you my friend for tagging along with us today and your kind words.
I’m in zone 8a NC. I love peonies but have struggled with them for a number of years. Finally I have 2 that are doing great. Yours are beautiful.😊
I love your gentle videos. I had no idea that peonies are edible!
Say what I had no clue idea either. Learned something new today! Thanks
Yes, I'm making a tea this year with them, that's for another video but fun to use in other ways.

Youir peony field is beautiful! I also appreciate the peony care review.
You are so welcome.
Everything looks so beautiful 😍 Great video
Thank you my friend🌷
Love peonies. My favourite to grow is Karl Rosenfield because it is what my Mother grew when I was growing up. But I think Bowl of Beauty is gorgeous.
Oh, I don't have Karl Rosenfield yet, adding to list!
Beautiful! I love peonies!
Thank you! Cheers!
Lovely video, I just learned a lot!!! I don't have any peonies but I will be looking for them to purchase and enjoy in my garden.
Yay! They are so easy to grow.
My fav is sarah burnhard 😀 Thanks for your great tips on peonies. Mine is on third year i hope they will give me more bloom this year for bare root! My potted one bloom abundantly the 2nd year 😄

It can be so hard at times to wait for the blooms but in time its so worth it.
Oh my word! How precious the baby ducks!!! Loving the peonies as well they are my fave
They are so sweet!
Red Charm is my favorite. I need many more of them.
They are so gorgeous for sure and yes more is better. 😄

They dont need much water at all, I just like o water a few times in the season for the foliage in fall.

Every thing is so early this year, I'm exited to be in full bloom this year, its going to be amazing.

Wow, Ok! I'm going to give it a go.
Splish and Splash for the ducks!

YESS! One day I hope to get one as well.

You will have to keep me posted on how they do!
I have what was sold to me as a tree peony, I’m not certain that it is one as it really hasn’t gotten that tall. Beautiful blooms though ! 🪻🌷💚🙃
Oh wow! That's funny, well at least it is beautiful
When do you fertilize your peonies every year? Love your garden!🤍
We don't, they really just love to be left alone, I put down a little compost from time to time but not really necessary
Enjoy your gardens and videos.
Do the runner ducks eat your garden plants?
No not typically, at some point we do keep them in the run because they pull up our starts before they are rooted in.
❤❤ your video’s need to do more ❤️
Thank You!

Great informative video. Thank you
You are so welcome and thank you!
What is the earliest and latest variety that bloom in your garden? I absolutely love your videos!
Coral Charm is the earliest to bloom for us and big ben, late would be Sarah Barnhardt and Duchesse De Nemours
I love peonies so much! Where do you live? I’m in a zone 8 and wonder if they’ll grow here.
Zone 8 B but they will grow will in zone 8, good luck
I think I'll be planting more peonies. Ha!!
😄
Jimmy!!!
Great video. Peonies are my favorite flower. Do they grow well in containers?
I have never done that but I think they would do well, I have a few I have not gotten into the ground and are in pots for over a year and they are doing great still.
I love big ben
Me too!
Willow jen-shun…😉

Hallo from South Africa, where we are at the start of winter. I can not grow peonies, as there are not enough freeze hours in our winters.
Where is Emma?
Hello South Africa! sadly Emma took a job closer to home but she still comes and visits often, we miss her.

ANTS are the must for the blooms to open and huge flowers !
NEVER FEAR or try to get rid of them.
8:27 what is the fencing for behind you?
Its a grape vine, the field is next to a vineyard
You need an alpaca as a protector!
Well that would be fun!
I just planted four more peony varieties 👏🏻🪻🌷💚🙃
Yay!!!
Brydon needs to go hunting ? 🪻🌷💚🙃
He has but we have very little time to get away to do that sport, maybe someday.
I hope your goose isn’t a gander? From previous experience ganders LOVE chasing you ! 🪻🌷💚🙃 oh yup I heard you call the goose Gertrude which be funny name for a gander. 🤭🪻🌷💚🙃
Fingers crossed its a nice one! Brayden is working on it.
