Yay! Yard sales have finally resumed here in MO. Yest I went with 3 local friends to city-wide yard sales in a nearby town. Weather was amazing, and we had a blast! While I didn't find any major bolos, I found plenty of bread and butter pieces. (And they were not shopping for clothes, nor are they resellers, so we were not competing with each other.)
Love COS Sold a pair of leather pants nwt for $247!!! Size 12 and I was amazed! Retails for $490

I just do it in bulk several times a day. I don't really appreciate attention to how many I have.

I do not have a limit. I do recommend when you are new to reselling to set a limit for yourself to only buy as much as you will actually list that week. But, I've grown and have employees now who can list as much as I can bring in.

I know you don’t accept offers when you first list an item but when you send offers to watchers do you allow counter offers?
No.
Seems like just an invitation to lowball. I doubt many sellers allow counteroffers if they aren’t allowing offers to begin with. It just opens up the negotiation for them to ask you to go lower.

When selling the same item on multiple platforms, how concerned are you about sending offers and it potentially selling on one while there's a standing offer on the other. I have a relatively new store that I'm trying to build up, so I've tried to be cautious lest the algorithm gods smite me.
If you frequently take items down throughout the day it shouldn't be an issue. I take items down about 3 times a day and I we rarely double sell an item. It happens sometimes and if it does we cancel the sale on poshmark.
Hi, Good Morning, I've noticed that you don't use a white background. I Was Just wondering why? And is it at all of importance to have a white background.
We do use a white background, we just don't background remove. We went back to basics a long time ago and realized it did not make a difference in sales. I really don't think it matter what background you use as long as it's clean, simple, and the item is accurately presented.
How does your number of sales/week (562 this week) relate to the number of items you bring into your business each week hoping to sell? similar?
We set 40 active every day. So we list at least 280 items a week. Sometimes we bring in and list more to schedule ahead. In general, I would say we sell the same amount we list or slight lower than that every single day. On weeks we run sales we sell more.

I run sales and coupons both for very small amounts.
Does J. Crew sell well? I have seen it in my Goodwill, but unsure of the sell through rate.
Depends on the piece. I leave most of it behind.

Also, Im sure you’ve covered this, but what is your opinion on using stock photos? Ive stopped because of the legality of using them, but Ive never had an auction pulled on EBay because of using them, but I have on Mercari.
Stock photos are very risky. I wouldn't recommend them, especially on ebay. I am currently sourcing 2-3 days a week. Full 8 hour days (but I drive 3 hours roundtrip each day).

How can i get a template for the excel formulas on inventory and sales?
I don't have this available for sale. It's really easy to make though. I'd recommend taking an excel for beginners course. There are a ton of free ones on youtube.

@@janicemurphy5177 If I were to do it all over again, I would strive to have a small store and still make these sales numbers. It's better to focus on picking up better and better things that sell quickly and to turn over your store over and over again than it is to have a large store. A lot of these items I picked up while I was still learning.
@@cayleyelaine yes I agree but I live in a small town in West Virginia it’s hard for me to find high quality. Clothes once in a while some one sells a box gets something that way

Not for newly listed items. After an item has been sitting for 90 days, sometimes I will promote. I just do whatever ebay suggests.
