You can buy a cheap switch from your local parts store to install between the battery and the quadlock. Takes like 5 minutes to do depending on where you put it.
Cheers mate, yeah that what I was thinking I might so hey... I should of looked at it before hand because all the others I've seen have an on off switch on the wireless charger 🤬 It's all good anyway haha. Thanks mate
I've been thinking about putting QuadLocks on both of my bikes for a while, the thing that's held me back is that generally I only get about a year or so out of a phone before I upgrade it and then I'd have to get a new QL case for the new phone..... After watching this I don't think i CBFd, so cheers brother thanks for that, you probably just saved several hours of my life
Yeah it's been bloody awesome just put down 1500kms since putting it on already (currently away on this trip) going really well but in saying that the old one was fine. You're welcome mate 🤙 thanks for the support
Hey Matt... I truly enjoy watching your videos!!! You are always entertaining and offer useful content at times! I know how you felt when that screw fell on/into your motorbike. I was chuckling to myself because I knew exactly how you felt. I thought I could install the engine guard on my Breakout. I had a hard time getting these two plastic pins that are in the lower frame out. You can hardly even see them if you didn't know they are there. Got the two lower mounts installed with no trouble. However, when I tried to install the top bolt... the nut fell into the engine compartment. Had to go to hardware store and bought three more nuts in case I dropped another one. Good thing... because I did drop two more before I finally got it on. Looks good and will keep engine safe if it tips over. Keep making your videos Matt! I enjoy watching you and what you're planning to do to your motorbike or the awesome rides you go on!!! You plan on any rides with your dad? I have wonderful memories of riding with my son! John...
holy cow idk how i missed this one, im very sorry john. thanks for all the kind words as always mate. oh no hahahaha im glad im not the only one that has troubles working on there own stuff LOL.... thanks for watching as always
8:24 If you want your phone even more flush to the bars, you can remove the little extentioner and mount everything to the center hole of the clamp. That's what I've done. Just a little tip
I don’t think it’s meant to be hard wired straight to the battery, it’s meant to wired in into the auxiliary wires in the headlights, that way there isn’t power to the charger all the time, only when the bike is on is there power to it
Yeah at the end of the video I did say that but it's all good. People have said they've had it connected for 2 years and it hasn't gone flat so hopefully that's the case. Also all the ones I seen had a button to turn the charger off.... but mine doesn't very weird but anyway. Cheers mate, appreciate it
Just connect it to an acc point next time should be plenty around, also I have the vibration Mount in a Y configuration as found it doesn’t wiggle, Like trying to ride a 3 legged humped camel 🐫 down the freeway 😂😂
@@Gnarly_Harley I wrote it before I got to the end of the video 😂 I actually did a TH-cam search to see if I could find someone with same one as you and your right couldn’t find it, they were all different to yours
Been using quadlock gear on all my bikes for a few years, good bit of kit……always wired up though switched wiring so power only comes on when you power the bike., most bikes have a spare fused connection….and the dampener just reduces the vibration from the bike screwing the phone camera, they do work Good job mate👍
Awesome thanks for the feedback man. Yeah I should of just re done it to auxiliary when I realised I didn't have a button on my charger 😅🤣 I got lazy... I did hear that was just wondering how well that works. Glad to hear they work haha thanks for the support mate really appreciate it !
Yeww Game Changer. The X grips deffs kill phone overtime. Had to get my charger port replaced twice because internals were just vibrating loose. Probably depends on bike but on the Harley’s it’s a must
Love the quadlock gear, i didnt know about the vibration dampner, i might have to grab one. I have a usb one but its pretty old and i dont think i have a button haha. But its always been on for a long time now and never had an issue with battery drain
Yeah it was bloody awesome on my recent 3500km trip ! My phone was always at 100% charge haha. Ahhh okay true ! Very interesting.... That's good to hear, thanks for the feedback bro
Hey my bro love your videos I’ve got the same one the button is there just hard to find even when looking at it I’m pretty sure , as for when I bought mine it was 2 years or more
Cheers mate, I actually found out that there is a couple of models. Some have the power button and some others don't which mine doesn't unfortunately. But ever since getting a new battery and trickle charger. I've never had any issues. Thanks for watching 🤙
Yeah man I did say that towards the end of the vid but my charger was supposed to save a switch Luke all the items I've seen on the internet 😅🤣 I got stitched up
@@Gnarly_Harley yer I commented to early but it's only the positive wire you need to move and i'd say that's why the didn't come with the eyelet crimps anyway you should be able to find a youtube vid showing you how to do it well if you want to anyway good luck
@patmanwainwright3423 cheers man yeah I think ill just leave it if not ill for some sort of auxiliary power to jump onto haha 🤙 Thanks man I appreciate the thoughts and advice 😁
Thanks, I got mine too, I was advised to have this from quad lock to fit it with it… it’s Waterproof 12V To USB Smart Adaptor and noticed you didn’t fit this part… it’s to prevent the Harley bike’s battery being draining to flat battery in charging your phone. ( it’s got auto feature in that part which you need to fit it)
Yeah unfortunately I ordered the other hard wired one which I'm meant to tap into the ignition so when the bike is off so is the charger... but I've read people never having an issue even as long as 2 years. But !!! I think I'm definitely going to get the adapter! Hahaha better safe than sorry hey 😅😀 Thanks for commenting mate I really appreciate it and the feedback 🤙

Hey!!! Cool bananas is MY saying! & Bob's your aunty! I have a USB in Carmen (Electra-Glide) but I need a mount. Just not sure where to fit the holder. Put in an isolator switch or wire into your ignition switch to work only on key
Haha such a good saying bro my favourite 😁 They have many different ways to mount mate, check out the site. Not just handle bars ! So you have few options 🤙
Love your vlogs Matt, keep them coming. You crack me up when things don't go smoothly and watching your reactions is pure gold ha ha.
Thanks Kerry I really appreciate that 🙂
