Wow. Wow. Wow!! That AAA badge is freaking awesome!! Completely agree with the "never hunted out" comments. There is a small town founded in the later 1800s not far from where I live. Pounded it for the past couple years. The parks department removed a row of blackberry bushes recently, so I took a chance. After digging about 20 tin cans, I was rewarded with a small, silver sugar bowl. The mint mark puts in right in the same time as the town's formation. Knee buckler for sure. Keep swingin`!!!
Wonderful finds this week, Greg! You know I love the railroad spikes and train photos...lol! 😊 But the brooch, license plate, and badge are very cool, too! Can't wait for next week 😀
I'm 56 and just learning that metal detecting is a lot of work😂😂. 8 hours of digging holes, working around roots and rocks, putting the hole back together so no one knows you were there, only for it to be a memorial😂..and then have to stand back up lol...love this hobby
That's impressive to find all of that on ground that has been hunted for decades. Nice little Case Knife you should be able to get the year from the markings on the blade tang.
Wow, Gary, it sure pays to dig it all, doesn't it?! That badge was a stunner! Brings back memories of being a little girl with a big crush on the school crossing guard! 😄🤗 Thanks for another fun Thursday morning!
Another fabulous hunt, I especially like the old badge and of course I love seeing the old Buffalo nickels pulled from the ground. Thanks Greg for another great video
I really liked the safety patrol badge. I remember my time as a Safety Patrol Captain in Elementary school. The Captain’s badge had a blue background around the AAA logo. Great find!!
Great hunt Greg!! Amazing what difference a new detector and a couple of changes on your settings will make. Really liked the old TN license plate and the AAA badge.
Different types of coils, detectors and settings can all yield different results. Then as you already know I’m sure soil moisture conditions can also be another factor.I remember when you were hunting this same property when the ground was so dry it was like cement. After a few rainfalls it’s a whole new experience.
That badge is awesome! I’m so happy and excited for you., and it’s in great shape. I love how you enjoy your finds and don’t complain that they aren’t super valuable monetarily. The value is history and the cool factor. Keep swinging and making these great videos. God Bless !
It was crazy how nice it came out of the ground. It actually looks better than some non-dug examples! So happy with finding that one and I appreciate you watching this one Kenny. ATB Greg
I also love when someone tells me "that park or old school yard" is hunted out. I am an old school "old geezer" hunter and am still using my etrac. People that tell me that don't realize who they're saying that to, I have cherry picked those places back in the early 60's, I have been detecting those "hunted out places since 1960" with a Radio Shack BFO that I got for my 10th. birthday.
I really enjoyed that piece of glass & the research you did to discover what it was from! I keep a shoebox of 'sad glass' on the ND Farmstead when I'm weeding the foundation flower beds, wondering how each piece ended up there. When my Sister visits she contributes her finds. A sheet of paper lists the date & location of each find.---And you said there was a lot of traffic noise at your dig site??? (Had to laugh at the train picture!)---How soon after getting home did you call Chris about finding that badge?! I'd never heard of that organization before.---Once again, great photos.
Greg, that was a great day of digging you had. The broach and buffalo nickel and token were great finds. My favorite was the pocket knife and the safety badge. We were safety cops in elementary school and thought we were cool. I miss seeing Chris, hope you have a dig with him soon. How on earth did you bend the license plate back to original? Take care.👍👏😀
Hi Greg , like i always say nobody gets it all it's never hunted out it just gets harder , anyway it was a good hunt and some nice stuff popping up my favourite is the girls toy watch followed by the pocket knife , great video mate best wishes and ATB Rob .
Thanks so much Rob and I always enjoy the challenge of hunting a hard hit spot especially when you're competing against yourself. Really glad you enjoyed this one my friend. ATB Greg
I wore one of those Triple A badges on a white Sam Brown belt along with a plastic helmet in the 6th grade. Still waiting to dig my own example. Congrats!
Hey Greg, Just wondering what kind of detector you were using in 1979. My first detector was a White's. It was like a box with the handle on top. That was somewhere around 1965. Sure do enjoy your videos. 🇺🇲😎🇺🇲
Hi Jon! I was using a Jetco Mustang BFO when I first started. I then got a great deal on a Garret ADS a couple of years later. Really glad you enjoy my videos and thanks so much for watching them! ATB Greg
Will you please show the Depth Audio Theme and why its different in the future. I have never used it at all. Also I would like to see some the 2D screen display of some of the strange targets you dig. Fun video, thanks for sharing.
13:29 Anyone else see a picture of a woman in the center? I watch this on my TV so it’s easier to see, maybe it’s just dirt and I am crazy. Either way wonderful video, great editing. Every upload tells a story.
So I usually dig 24-25 for nickels with the manticore but I'm guessing the vdi changes with the mode some. My Xterra pro was all over the place on nickels from 17-30s , I'm hoping the manticore isn't that erratic. I know it is on pennies sometimes. My question is does it work really well in trashy areas in the fast mode? I've been using mine for about a month in general learning the machine with pretty good success but I've got an area that's really trashy but I know there are good signals amongst it
This makes me wonder - how well do we REALY understand the mechanics behind metal detecting? So many times I watch videos where a switch in detector settings or brands produce wildly different results....

Congrats in your patrolman badge, Greg...it's beautiful!! 🤩
Wow, Greg! That AAA badge is killer! How many times have how many people walked over that with no idea that was there?! So cool!
Thanks Randy and I know I walked over it a lot of times over the years. Just an amazing thing to find there, ATB Greg

Very nice results. I'm impressed right there with you. Can't get enough of your channel! See you on the next one!

Whoops, I mean Greg, not Gary!!!
I see no one has solved any mystery finds in the last two episodes. Will you still update if any will be in the future??
I most definitely will. If you do not see a Mystery Solved in the following episode it just means that the mystery finds weren't ID'd. ATB Greg
Always fun watching you channel. Thank you for sharing with us.🙏 God bless you
Another fabulous hunt, I especially like the old badge and of course I love seeing the old Buffalo nickels pulled from the ground. Thanks Greg for another great video
Really great finds! Love finding the old coins but special when you find the unexpected cool stuff. Super video
Great day. Haven't seen Chris lately.
I really liked the safety patrol badge. I remember my time as a Safety Patrol Captain in Elementary school. The Captain’s badge had a blue background around the AAA logo. Great find!!
Safety Patrol !! Now that brought back some memories of Alvin Avenue Elementary in Santa Maria,California.
Enjoy watching your finds. Thanks..
Thanks for watching this one Tom and glad you liked the finds I recovered. ATB Greg
I really like the 62-63 license plate. I was conceived in 62 and born in 63!
All Terrain Fast, and Deep… I'm headed out the door now! 😊 Thanks for the tip Greg!!!!
Fantastic finds!
Thanks! I appreciate you watching this one. ATB Greg
Great hunt ❤

some great finds and then at the end That Badge is Amazing congratulations
Nice finds great video Thanks for sharing ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️👍👍👍🇺🇸🗝️
What you said was a horse bit I believe is a buckle. Horse bits don’t have loose parts. They are solid bar.
I appreciate your help with that but it is definitely a horse bit. Thanks so much for watching this one. Much appreciated. ATB Greg
Like others have said, that AAA patrol badge is a fantastic find Greg. The presidential token is way cool too. 👍 Congrats.
The manticore is awesome! Great hunt Greg.
Excellent finds. Thanks. Going to be 113 here in Phoenix today. Stay cool…….
That badge is awesome! I found a similar one that was a 50s/60s Batesville Arkansas Auxiliary Police Badge a while back!
Congrats on another good hunt, I like the AAA Badge, that's really cool.
You must have a huge collection of rail road spikes.
That is why I find it funny when someone tells me, oh you don’t need to waste your time there it hs been hunted out!!

@@aliasfred yes I too am an old detectorist (71 years old) which is neat because I started in 1971!
Those are some of my most favorite words to hear when I am out detecting. I love the challenge! :)
That badge is awesome!
Great work Greg!!!!!!!!
Some cool finds Greg
Nice finds Greg. Love the badge. My only non toy badge I found was a late 1940's Richfield Utah patrolman badge with the same eagle as yours.

The AAA badge awesome I used to wear one of those in the early 80s when I was on elementary school I was a crossing Guard brings back memories

That bit looks like a work horse bit it's BIG!!!!
Love the Case XX knife. You can probably have it refurbished by Case.

Enjoyed it, great video. I will have to try those settings on my manticore, I haven’t used fast yet, or depth.

Where abouts are you located in TN, if you don't mind me asking? I'm in the Johnson City, Kingsport area. I enjoy your hunts! Enjoy your hunts!
Thanks Derek and I am in the Smoky Mountain area of East TN.

Mumbly Peg? lot of knives were lost!
Never found a plate maybe some day
Only got a date off of one buffalo nickel they don’t do well in the ground
