So I found this video because I work for the county here in East Texas and our precinct just got our boom axe back after being down forever and they offered it to me. But I have to give them an answer when we come back on Tuesday whether I wanna take it or stay in my patch truck? As you see I’m actually a retired Arborist (Tree climber) that shut my family business in 2020 so I’m very familiar with running equipment but never needed to run one of these in residential tree work. Ran Chippers, stump grinders bucket trucks and equipment like that
I’ve ran an new Holland with Alamo for 7 years for the county road department. I reckon I’m about to get a new one but it’ll be a Kabota because everything is exclusive through them
Nice. I'm envious, 'cuz am still using a smaller boom flail mower. And I got a chuckle at 2:41, 'cuz that bump looked and sounded familiar.
I love this kind of work. I operate a MowerMax.
You like the MowerMax?
love these videos of the boom mower
just put some up on my channel if ypu wanna check them out.
You should engage the mower first before the reving the engine. It's hard on the engine if you engage with high RPM.
Ita crazy to see this through the perspective of someone else. I do this every day right now until April that routine comes back.
Great video!
We like to do it in winter as well. You can see obstacles better.
Yeah it does. I use the same tractor T6030 it's in one of my shorts where its stuck

Worked for the county
Curious as to whether you charge by the mile or by the hour and what do you charge?
Hourly
Are they detachable
Not this one. Built on tractor from the factory
Question, how many miles per day do you average?
Try to do 4 miles with 5 passes on both sides
Great videos, thank you for the reply
why start rotor flat out ? why not start at engine idle?
It's electric over hydraulic. It takes some power to get it started.
