    Does the canon R6 + 24-105 balance on this gimbal?

    • @HiethGeorge
      @HiethGeorge  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi so short answer is yes the R6 and 24 to 105 should balance according to DJI, the R6 is 200 heavier than the RP but the combined weight of it with the 24 to 105 is within the limits of the RC unfortunately I don't own it anymore so cant do video for you as I own the DJI RS2 Pro if you order it from Amazon here is a link geni.us/rZ08 and then it does not work you can send it back and get a full refund hope this helps cheers Hieth

    Really great tips here, just got the DJ SC but realized my EF 24-70 is too big with the adapter on the R6. Gotta try it with my Sigma 50mm F2.4. Hugely impressive with your growth from 1k subs to 8k in less than a year too! Greetings from a Swede in China

      Hi Thanks for stopping by and watching - also for leaving a comment not sure about the Sigma as don't own it anymore but it only weighs in at around 500g which is 200 g lighter than the RF 24 to 105 and about 400g Lighter than the EF 24 to 70 so you might be in luck - let me know how you get on cheers Hieth

    Hi. Thanks for some great videos. I actually went and bought a RONIN SC after watching your video. However I cannot get to my EOS RP to balance using your measurements. The eye piece still bumps into the back motor. And the gimple does not seem strong enough to balance the setup (using the kit lens RP 24-105 f4 L). Do you have any hints?

      Hi Chister thank you for your kind comments and i hope you like the Ronin, due to recently buying the new R5 and R6 I have sold my EOS RP so cant do a double check for you, however it worked fine for me as you can see in the video. it maybe down to a tiny adjustment on where you have place the riser and base plate if you place it in the same place as on the video you should be fine - on another note I did purchase the Small Rig Cage which added some weight to the RP and allowed me to bring the camera forward a bit more so it cleared the back motor even more so this may help you - hope this helps let me know how you get on and if you have any more quesitons drop me a line cheers Hieth

    • @HiethGeorge

      Hi Gareth - yes I have tried it with both and it didn't like it they make it to front heavy as they weigh between 600g and 800g plus the adapter you then have to set the camera back so far it hits the rear motors if you want to use that set up it has to be the DJI RSC 2 or RS 2 cheers Hieth

    Using a eos rp with 24-70 ef lense with adapter is it able to balance?

    • @HiethGeorge
      @HiethGeorge  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Unfortunately I would say no as the weight of the 24 to 70 with the adapter is approx. 900g and the RF 24 to 105 is only 700g so it would not have enough room at the rear to miss the eye piece - I would recommend the DJI RSC 2 would be your best bet here is a link geni.us/Qj8EbH they currently have a discount on it from Amazon hope this helps cheers Hieth

    Will the Ronin SC balance with the 17-40mm or 50mm f1.2?

    • @HiethGeorge
      @HiethGeorge  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Hardi I take it you are reffrring to the EF 17-40mm? If so I dont own one of these but as it is al ight lens at only 500g I would say it would balance perfectly. As for the RF 50mm yes it balances however if you wish to use the vortex mode (flahlight mode) then you will need a counterwieght system here is a link for that amzn.to/2PEzVYr it currently has 10% off also if you order thr ROnin SC from Amazon they have a 30 day refund policy if returned which you could do if you are not happy with it here is a link amzn.to/2Z7yTHu if you cant use Amazon then go direct to DJI click.dji.com/AJ4iyRTG0Vxp3wF-Z4Achg?pm=link

      @@guidophotographyfilms4314 Yes it is really good I have balanced it with the RF 24 to 105 f4 L the EF 16 to 35 F4L and EF 70 to 200 F2.8L they all work really well apart from the 70 to 200 but I would not really use that one to be honest on a Gimbal - the main lens I use on it are the RF 35 f 1.8 and the Sigma 50mm f1.4 Art

    • @HiethGeorge
      @HiethGeorge  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Roberto - I don't own the 5D so sorry I can not confirm this 100%, the 5D weighs in at 800g and the RP is only 440g, the RF 24 to 105 is 700g and the Ef 24 to 105 is 770g. It may well work as the issue with the RP was that is was to light and you had to pull the camera to the back of the gimbal. Hi,
    Do the features such as active track work? I just bought an RP and am going to get this gimbal for work, and I'm worried that the features were more directed towards higher grade cameras such as the A7 and EOS R

    • @HiethGeorge
      @HiethGeorge  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Simple answer to that is yes Active Track will work - more complicated answer is that to do this you have to balance the phone on the top of the camera with the supplied bracket so it will limit the lens you can use to the RF35 and RF 50 - if you can afford the RSC 2 I would go for that and buy the Raven Eye transmitter - hope this helps if you have any other questions drop me a line cheers Hieth

      @@LtRyanPYT it is to do with the weight but not that the motors can't cope it is the weight distribution as the EOSR and RP are so light you can overcome it with some counter balance weights small rig make a good one but it is so fiddly to balance .
