BIas to Grian much? Jeesh. You credit him with everything that happened. "Here we have Grian's ancient temple, made by mumbo" Okay, you didn't say that, but you might as well have.
lol, I (regrettably) would skip decked out whenever a hermit would play it during their episodes initially, but I developed a love for decked out after I began watching Tango's videos. Sodio may never have liked decked out at any point, so it wasn't worth mentioning in his s7 ranking.
Nah, Decked out was also one of my favorite parts of the S7 shopping district. If I re-did this, I would have mentioned it while listing the other shopping district-related events but I just forgot to put it in lol, mistake on my part
Season 7 and 6 were extremely fun, but I have to say I really appreciate and enjoy what they did with season 8. It was experimental and unique, and I think the hermits truly grew during it. I know how Xisuma feels about his season 8 but I hope he knows that he did end up creating something quite impressive and unique, as did the whole server
I actually really didn like season 8, all the bases were unimpressiveI(not saying they werent difficult to build they just werent impressive) and all the interactions fell flat like the yes and no wings club and big eyes where it just wen nowhere.
I stopped watching during season 8 and came back for season 9....which has been much better....season 8 was more like empires and I'm not a fan of empires and the role playing....
@@filbertovandette season 9 still had roleplaying in things like the king ren arc and the empires crossover (speaking of not liking empires let’s talk about the season that literally featured empires) but the roleplaying just wasn’t as serious because it wasn’t tied to the actual server, like the big moon plot was tied to the end of the season (again, with the exception of the empires arc because it literally did affect the server) I still think season 8 had the best finale, for the sole reason that it was the only one with a cohesive finale That being said I also enjoyed season 9 more overall, but since that’s not as contentious an opinion I come off as a season 8 defender
I was a Grian viewer before he joined Hermitcraft, so season 6 was my first season. I used to watch his building tutorial videos and attribute a lot of my own Minecraft building skills to them. My nickname for him as a kid was "Building Master Grian."
Imo season 6 was the best I loved the civil war, The various themed districts , the demise game, hermitville , mini game districts, Christmas distric and Halloween district all was so amazing
I agree 110%. I think it was the perfect balance, at least from the Hermits I watched, of collaboration and also solo work on builds and bases. Not to mention the awesome districts and the civil war. This season was perfect and I wish the seasons after were more like it.
I genuinely think Season 9 might end up being the best. About three months in and we’ve already had two server wide events, a mini war, a great shopping district, awesome builds, cool iteractions and promises of great stuff to come in the future.
One thing I think was underrated about hc season 8 was how incredibly good the bases were. Basically everyone made bases that put them out of their comfort zone and were unique, like grian's interior, impulse's mega base, mumbo's mountain, and cleo's armor stand windows lol
Cleo and armor stands is the polar opposite of ''being put out of one's comfort zone,'' but I agree with most of your point. Mumbo experimenting with terraining and custom trees was very out of ordinary and turned out amazing.
I was a huge fan of season 7’s shopping district! It really allowed for a lot more of a community feeling and it was nice to see the mooshroom island improve overtime. I’m glad we’re getting a shopping district for season 9 but I loved how defined the it was in 7
My favorite season is 4, it had so much going for it. All the hermits lived really close to each other so it was a lot of collaboration. They started the season with a plan and they stuck to it. The log fellas where really fun and rens hermitron go "game" (that I think inspired Tango to make decked out) was really fun
S6 is still unbeatable to me. Some of it being personal reasons and then also iconic reasons. I was already watching Grian on Evo so his arrival was exciting and much needed. Then also, I was introduced me to other hermits I wasn’t aware of. It’s also the first season I watched fully.
As someone who watched season 7 first, binge-watch season 6 and watched season 8 as it went along, I agree with this tier list. Season 6 and 7 are amazing together and a great introduction to hermitcraft. Season 8 has a lot of memorable moments, but i still feel disappointed by the ending because a lot of bases seems like they were meant for a longer season and were left so unfinished. Plus the fact that TFC couldn’t come back because of the motion sickness from the moon plotline. As for season 9, i enjoy it so far (soup gang ftw).
I’m kinda disappointed that you didn’t talk about PythonMC/PythonGB basically at all, the entire district he built in Season 6 lead to a lot of parts of peoples storylines, iconic lines and interactions, and shops that while not being huge plot points where a huge help for the other Hermits… Otherwise great stuff!
Season 8 has its own charm and I find it quite nice that they were experimenting and trying out new ideas. Not my favorite, but a memorable one for sure. Of course season 4 and 5 will always be special to me as they were the first seasons which I started actively watching episodes as they were uploaded (with season 5 being the first whole season I was watched), mainly from mumbo's perspective. I remember taking the nho plot line way too seriously, getting upset at the nho for greifing mumbo's base and trying to frame it on the resistance. (I didn't yet understood the concept of roleplay and thought it was actually personal, even though I was probably at the age where I should have known better.) Anf season 6 will always be my favorite season for the reasons you've pointed out.
Pretty good list. Honestly the boatem crew was probably my favourite ever "collab" and the proximity mod made collaborations (the best part of hermitcraft) so much easier and more hilarious so I'd put s8 in amazing. Most of the POVs I watched didn't have too much roleplay, ech ep still felt like hermitcraft with some extra flavour sprinkled in just like the Mycellium or Hippie wars.
Funnily enough Season 5 was when I started watching HermitCraft. I always watched cubfan135's singleplayer world but he stopped playing it to join Hermitcraft S4, which I was bummed about. I thought HC was a modded survival like Hexxit, and I didn't really like modded at that time. But one day I decided to click on one of his videos just to see and it was the episode where he and scar(?) built each other a house and I actually enjoyed it, so I started watching when the next season began. S5 hardly felt like a low point, there was plenty of stuff going on and I loved it.
I actually started watching at the (edit: end) of season 5 and I have to say... season 8 is by far my favorite. It felt fresh, fun and chaotic. moon big was good and all but I think the things that made it so good in my opinion were the grouping and the many interactions that resulted from it
I'd move season 8 down to okay. I like some of the roleplaying on Hermitcraft and it definitely ended in a bombastic way. Still, having so many hermits 'try' to figure out different ways to keep the moon from crashing into the land, only for exactly that to happen made the outcome feel kinda bad to me. Basically was left cursing when watching that admitedly amazing animation of the impact. Keeping that season short might have been the better call and likely set things up well for Tango to start on Decked Out, but I hope the current season will end in a more normal way. Honestly got a bit scared when the whole rift story line started, thought it might just be the beginning of the end again.
A few things to add for season 7 is Decked out and Shade-e-es as Decked out was super fun and Shade-e-es was some classic Etho pranks around the server.
season 6 was my favorite because in 2019 i came across grians channel and his hermitcraft videos and until now i have watched all of grians hermitcraft videos and other videos. hes one of my favorite youtubers of all time
S1 hasn't aged well. I'd put it in bad, the only hermits to have good episodes were Joe & ThePixelNerds (who didn't stay on too long before the band broke up)
its only now i realise how long ive been watching hermit craft, i can rember things all they way back too season 3, this was such a trip down memory lane
As someone who started playing Minecraft during 1.13, I didn't even know what hermitcraft was until around season 7. I couldn't bring myself to binge season 6 and 7 because of how long they were, but when season 8 came out I watched every episode and it was my first time that I truly enjoyed hermitcraft. So far season 9 has been great and I'm looking forward to more seasons.
Grian and Gem is the only reason I’m even here Grian’s builds are just so amazing. I started watching Gem when Empires came out and fell in love with her channel and found out she was doing Hermitcraft and I was happy 😁
I watched Mumbos videos occasionally and discovered Gem through a comment on one of Mumbos videos which then spiraled into bingewatching hermitcraft season 9 from gems perspective and some clips from Grians perspective.
This is tricky. Season 9 will most certainly be cool, but with the hermits being burnt out and either joining late or not playing makes it both memorable and ok...
The Best Hermitcraft Season..... The next one. Each Season has its iconic builds and moments but one things remains consistent. Each season is better than the previous one.
Dude… trust me you got season 4 HELLA wrong. Season 4 should be above 3 for sure. I think season 4 should be memorable and season 3 should’ve been ok. Overall great researched and quality video though👍
This list made me realize that I first watched Hermitcraft during season 2 without knowing it. Was a big fan of Monkeyfarm and Slipgator. Then came back to it at Season 6. Man time flies.
7 was the best with 6 in second. 8 was just an experiment because hermits tended to become inactive towards the end so they wanted to try a shorter season
Season 4 created the foundation of what makes hermitcraft hermitcraft. Shops, districts, stories and mega buildings. probably the best season after season 6 ❤
Season 4 was when I first started watching and maybe thats why I think it should be higher but season 7 is still my favorite. Etho always just uploaded 2 or 3 vidoes in the beginning of each season but in season 7 uploaded throughout the season and was an absolute joy to watch.
If I ask me I luv Season 8 and I personally think it's the best season because of the storyline, the different shopping factions and mainly the builds of the season.
Hermit craft 7 was when I actually started watching and hermit craft 8 was the one that I watched every single episode from grian and mumbo. So iconic to me I loved it I was so invested
There were a few factual errors in this recap of the seasons. Not going to attack the ranking in any way, but there were a few details you got wrong. 1. The season 6 prank war was not started by, or with, Grian. It was a messy interaction between Iskall, False, Zombie Cleo, and Rendog. Basically, it sums up like this. Iskall pranked False, and left a sign behind taking credit for his prank. Later, Cleo came around and changed the sign to blame Rendog instead. Grian didn't get involved until step 2 in this process when False turned in an IOU to Grian in order to get his help in her retaliation against the framed innocent bystander Rendog. 2. Season 8 was always meant to be a short season. They were actually telling a little white lie to the viewers at the beginning of the season when they said that the plan was to reset the outer chunks. A lot of the hermits admitted to this during the block of time between seasons 8 and 9. Pretty much, they only said that they planned to reset the outer chunks because they didn't want a viewer drop-off when people heard it was meant to be a short season that would only last until 1.18 came out. So, because it was planned as a short season, the hermits also saw it as an opportunity to start experimenting with the formula a little and find out what works and what doesn't work in terms of other styles of story telling. The intention was to keep what works when they move on to season 9, and dump what doesn't because it's a short season anyway. It seems the majority of the ideas were dumped, with the main thing that managed to carry over from season 8 being the development of more land-travel infrastructure in the building and planning process instead of going everywhere with elytras.
Well, the biggest thing from season 8 to be brought forward was Proxi-chat. I know they started using it in season 7 but it was fully integrated in season 8 and it completely reinvented the way interactions and storylines happened.
I agree with this tier list except for the season eight ranking since I’m biased because I already watched and loved gemenitay before I even watched hermitcraft in season six, so I would rank it as awesome
i think that season 8 was the best, it was really exciting to watch it because almost every episode something un expected would happen, i also liked that it had a very interesting story line. Even thought it was very short i liked it
My list would be - Season 4 - I think it was a good blend of building (many builds blended nicely into the terrain, and with each other, co-labs, but not doing too much (i.e., no mega-bases that I can remember). Season 6 - This one was pretty fun to watch with the different themed districts like in season 4, and co-lab builds, as well as all of the server mini-games. Season 8 - Short & Sweet. I like the district-like style of season 6, along with the co-lab builds and storylines. Season 3 - Was #2 until Season 6 and 8 came along, but still memorable as they were starting to do some of the larger scale builds. I was hoping they'd do more clever ways of connecting their bases alongside the cliffs, though. Season 7 - Besides Decked Out, this was kind of a mediocre season to me, save for the first few months with Scar and Mumbo's starter builds. Would have liked to have seen HCBBS be expanded on longer than just an episode or two of doing something to another hermit's base (like base trading and pranks). Season 5 - There's actually very little I remember about this season, other than Tango's nether themed builds, and Scar's cave shopping area. Season 2 - Mostly watched Xisuma, Keralis, Slip and Dmac this season. Nothing too special, other than X's desert wastelands, and Slip's build. Seasons 1 and 2 where when hermits, along with other SMPs, often switched to modded, which would break the season up. Season 1 - A chaotic mess of players coming and going, which was hard to keep track of. Besides, I was also watching Mindcrack (mostly Etho, and Doc, and their SP series), AND modded minecraft, so there was a lot of competition. I do remember Keralis building around spawn, though, and the spawn village.
the first episode of hermitcraft i watched was grians first in s6. Absolutely loved it, started watching mumbo, again loved it. Season 6 is definitely the most iconic and overall best season ever. There is a reason i can remember what happened in perfect chronological order.
Don't know how this popped up in my recommended a year later, but I'm glad it did. Speaking as an OG viewer of Hermitcraft from S1, I was skeptical how your ranking would turn out at the beginning of your video when you said you hadn't started watching until S7. However, despite a few inaccuracies, missing some vital information, and glossing over critical parts of what made each season iconic in its own way instead of further unpacking their significance, I actually completely agree with your final list and liked your Tiers as well. I know you were already approaching that "golden 20 min mark" on video length, but this is probably a topic you could further break down in more detailed videos in a small series if you felt like it. Maybe you have...anyway, enjoyed watching. Thank you!
Fantastic video again Sodio! Very well made. And despite you not watching lots of the older seasons you summarised them pretty well! My personal list would probably be as follows: Amazing: Season 4, Season 6, Season 7 Memorable: Season 2 Decent: Season 1, Season 3 Okay: Season 5, Season 8
Been watching since Season 3 (though I took a break from the series toward the middle of Season 5, returning at the start of Season 6) and it's crazy just how large the viewer base has become (especially from Season 6 onwards). It's weird to see a more recent fan ranking 3 and 4 on the lower end as they are so iconic to me. I loved watching how someone newer thinks of the older series. Overall, great video! btw not to brag but I totally predicted that Season 8 would be a shorter season, just saying
Season 4 on pythons channel was my very first experience of hermitcraft. Now, I don’t remember a single bit, but I remember the facts I mentioned before. I never knew it would be so big all these years later. Also, personally, my favorite is season 6 with me watching grian’s pov. This is the first “real” experience of hermitcraft because I actually remember it. Tho, season 10 is really shaping up to be something. Also, on an unrelated note, the life series are my favorites. I frequently come back to rewatch them. They’re so fast, so fun, and so memorable.
I have a hard time choosing between 6 and 7, the interactions between the Hermits and the faction rivalries added so much. I loved the season 6 civil war plotline as well as the battle between ConCorp and Sahara, and in season 7 I loved the turf wars way too much, plus season 7 had Desked Out. I just can't choose. Season 9 so far is getting up there, it's had a good share of very memorable moments, Doc's game-breaking showcases is more insane than even season 8, the whole King Ren plot. The reincarnation of Grumbot and screams back to season 7, and the collab with Empires reminds me of season 6's multiverse plotpoints like the infinity portal. Desked Out 2 is in development and looking pretty ridiculous, some of the bases so far are among the craziest yet. The introduction of a proximity voice mod in season 8 I thought was brilliant for organically creating unplanned events and collabs and was very happy it returned for season 9. Season 9 finally has seen Etho finally finish a working version of Battle Bane, the minigame charity livestream was awesome. It's still in development but Season 9 is getting basically Speedy Pines V2 at a vastly larger scale. Some of the farms built were pretty crazy. impulse's iBuy is starting to pick up momentum and may even become the next mega-business that gives rise to a competitor, as large multi-person corporations tent to lie at the heart of many conflicts in past seasons. Then of course there's the Hermitcraft TCG game that was so popular fans made an online version playable on the web. And at this point the season doesn't really seem to be slowing down too much, we'll see how far it goes but it's already giving 6 and 7 some anxiety.
I really liked Season 8. Perhaps there is some bias from it being the first season I watched all the way through, but I think the limited amount of time to get everything done creates some pressure to concentrate the shenanigans and make more memorable moments
yeah, i was scratching my head.... i came in right at the beginning of season 5 and that is still probably my favorite... wish they had just said screw it and had item shops in the never forget the big dig donut .. the epic con vex pranks ... well's castle and town build .. false's pirate island .. x's manmade volcano ... oh man, cub's island and his nether hub (pour a little for the russian space doggos) ... so much more
I started watching during season 7 during the pandemic (I figure that's when many of us did). I loved season 7, enjoyed season 8, and am really enjoying season 9. I am a little concerned that the explosion in HC popularity has started to wear on the hermits, as they feel like they have to "measure up" to it's growth. It seems like many of them have burned themselves out and had leave for extended periods of time or just have decided to focus on something completely different (Mumbo, Stress, Iskall, Grian, & Wels all come to mind). Maybe I'm imagining things.
I started on OG Mindcrack but Season 2 Hermitcraft was my first season I watched Mainly from Skyzim, Pungence and Kingdaddydmac pov then took a break years later and got back into hermitcraft at like season 5/6
In my opinion, season 8 is the most fun, season 7 is the most impressive and season 6 is a perfect mix of both. It's so interesting how the different hermits thrive in different seasons according to their playstyles (for example bdubs and tango in S7, grian in S8, iskall in S6).
I just want to mention how you mention Tag in season 6 and Tegg in season 8 but skipped Tag 2: Electric Boogaloo in season 7. I find it was a funny minigame as it collided with Head Games.
For me the most memorable was the 4th season, it's the first time i see a minecraft server of content creator, and the way they build the world and interactions are just amazing! I enjoyed it till these days.. :D
Hermitcraft 4 was my first season because way back then, I was a Goodtimeswithscar follower. My favorite part was the Logfellas trial. Scar was the judge.
I love season 6, its my favorite by far, I love grians music its so good so fitting, and overall it makes the season the best one for me, I love the civil war, the build battle, demise, tag, karalis's gambling addiction and so many others
I feel like season 9 is shaping up to be amazing. Decked out, tcg, empires corssover are all huge. Empires crossover being a great mix between roleplay hermits and nonroleplay hermits. Despite it getting a bit inactive with burnout, the card game has brought a lot of people back to the server, cant wait for the future
I've watched since season 6. I technically started with 7, but I quickly checked back a season of what I could find. 7 is def my favorite. I do feel like 8 and 9 have been a huge decline for me. It seemed like a lot of hermits no longer felt like doing HC anymore. They put it on the 1.17 change, but you could still see that people just didn't like whatever was going on or just lost the will to still do minecraft in a certain way.
I literally just found about this series recently and know nothing about it aside from people saying it's very good, where can i watch each season?? i tried to search for season 1 and can't find it.
Hermitcraft is on TH-cam. If you want to watch it from the first season you need to pick a hermit that has been there that long, such as Xisuma, Joe Hills, Bdubs, ect. (Bdubs is only in season 1(unsure how long), beginning of 5, end of 6, and 7, 8, and 9) Search for "Hermitcraft season 1 Joe Hills (or someone that was there)" and pick a playlist. You can do the same thing for the next season as well. Remember that the early seasons aren't well fleshed out and members join and leave during the first 4 seasons. It isn't as bad in the more recent ones but it does still happen. There's no need to watch it from season 1. There may be the occasional reference but the series is season (sometimes episode) based, you really only need to start at the beginning of a season in order to understand what's going on. The Hermitcraft server is also over 10 years old and you'll have a hard time catching up on that time. Hermitcraft Recap has a "Which Hermit should you watch" video based on what you want to watch. If you get a Hermit that joined in the later seasons, you can start on the season they joined. It would cut down on time and you'd know exactly how much the person you're watching knows. Speaking of Hermitcraft Recap, if you want to see what happens with everyone on the server, Hermitcraft Recap has weekly episodes on everything that happens within that week. I believe it only goes back to season 4, but it's still a good resource to have. Hope this helped.
I think with season eight it was a very good season for like plot and what was happening I think the main problem for fans is it not being as long. Like I think they could’ve kept the exact same plot line but just made it a bit longer so we had like 30 episodes where they did their normal stuff and then say episode 35 the group if people start noticing the moon is getting bigger than you have like a non-believers in a believers side that like have a conflict and then as they’re in the midst of the conflict that’s when all the stuff that happened with the moon happened and then everyone gets rushed into panic and they will come together to build one big rocket. I just think it would’ve appealed to multiple groups but keeping old fans happy. But I did like how close they all where tbh and we got to properly see how storylines can change with proximity chat. Like we sort kind of at the end of season Seven but not like really sounds like in the use of proximity chat especially all the times people scared each other that was very funny
Hermitcraft season 8 cops a lot of flack but really it was just the best storytelling I've ever seen in an SMP. I started watching in season 8 so I can't say that I know what it was like before, but it was awesome watching this story line unfold. And I will still remember the feeling of when I watched the moon crash down. It was so awesome, so unlike anything I had expected, it was such an epic way to end the season.
i started watching when season 4 began, and followed it and season 5 very closely, so they were my favorite. i loved the beginning of season 6, but for whatever reason i stopped watching. i wish i had stayed though, because it sounds like it was a lot of fun. i did tune in every now and then for things, but still only barely remember things. and then i didn't watch ANY of season 7, but then finally returned with season 8, and have been watching since. so if i had to rank it, it would be AMAZING: season 4, season 5, season 8 MEMORABLE: season 6, though i only watched part of it and yeah i dont have any seasons in the decent or okay category lmao. and i didn't rank 1-3 or 7 because i didn't watch them
S6 is THE Hermitcraft season felt like the conclusion of all then other past seasons S7 is THE Hermitcraft season because it started the modern trends of hermitcraft basically a rebirth between s6 & s7
I do absolutely agree that Seasons 6 and 7 were absolute back to back bangers and that they will be unbelievably difficult to match in sheer quality (I am like 2/3 of the way done with Season 9 and it is coming very close though), and I also agree that Season 8, whilst still being great in its own right, isn't as close to matching the awesomeness of those two (I especially missed the abscence of any sort of Shopping District or leadership over it, like at least Season 9 had the whole king thing), but I really think you did Season 5 a bit dirty. It may be in Hermitcraft's and Minecraft's low point, but despite that fact it was still great, which makes it all the more respectable to me. The bases and builds were phenomenal for their time, the Convex shinanegans were very memorable and so on and so forth.
I became a fan of Grian bcuz of "7 ways to prank your friend" something like that And I discovered Hermitcraft bcuz of him and It was ig almost the ending of S7 watching Them pranks each other makes me laugh
Adding grian was a very good choice. His chaoticness helped keep the server lively with his different pranks and challenges and made the other hermits more interested in doing the same. Don't get me wrong I love just watching tango or impulse for hours but grian is what got me started on hermitcraft.
Hello, I’m back from my absence! Please read the description as it clarifies a lot of things. Which Hermitcraft season is your favorite? 🤔
I like season 7
Season 6 is my favorite thi
Tho*
Personally I would have placed season 4 in memorable, I still love your list though!
BIas to Grian much? Jeesh. You credit him with everything that happened. "Here we have Grian's ancient temple, made by mumbo" Okay, you didn't say that, but you might as well have.
idk how you could talk about season 7 and not mention Decked Out at all. it was one of the main reasons why I kept watching hermitcraft.
lol, I (regrettably) would skip decked out whenever a hermit would play it during their episodes initially, but I developed a love for decked out after I began watching Tango's videos.
@@SodioYT you can make a new one when season nine ends

I think he ALMOST singlehandedly revived hc
Imo season 6 was the best I loved the civil war, The various themed districts , the demise game, hermitville , mini game districts, Christmas distric and Halloween district all was so amazing
Can’t forget it’s when good’ol chaotic neutral grian joined
Civil war was so entertaining, I’ve rewatched it like 4 times since then.
I agree 110%. I think it was the perfect balance, at least from the Hermits I watched, of collaboration and also solo work on builds and bases. Not to mention the awesome districts and the civil war. This season was perfect and I wish the seasons after were more like it.
My favourite has to be the build battle to build height
Yes I started watching hermit craft at season 5 but only started fully watching in season 6
I genuinely think Season 9 might end up being the best. About three months in and we’ve already had two server wide events, a mini war, a great shopping district, awesome builds, cool iteractions and promises of great stuff to come in the future.
Plus now the first ever smp crossover
It feels like seasons 6, 7 and 9 would be the best three by far
Decked out is coming back as well which was easily in the top 3 events of season 7
I think its gonna be even better because of the incident

S6 is still unbeatable to me. Some of it being personal reasons and then also iconic reasons. I was already watching Grian on Evo so his arrival was exciting and much needed. Then also, I was introduced me to other hermits I wasn’t aware of. It’s also the first season I watched fully.
true
As someone who watched season 7 first, binge-watch season 6 and watched season 8 as it went along, I agree with this tier list. Season 6 and 7 are amazing together and a great introduction to hermitcraft. Season 8 has a lot of memorable moments, but i still feel disappointed by the ending because a lot of bases seems like they were meant for a longer season and were left so unfinished. Plus the fact that TFC couldn’t come back because of the motion sickness from the moon plotline.
As for season 9, i enjoy it so far (soup gang ftw).
I’m kinda disappointed that you didn’t talk about PythonMC/PythonGB basically at all, the entire district he built in Season 6 lead to a lot of parts of peoples storylines, iconic lines and interactions, and shops that while not being huge plot points where a huge help for the other Hermits…
Otherwise great stuff!
facts, also left him out of the logfellas
6 is definitely my favourite. I just love the world and everything that happened in it!
(I didn't yet understood the concept of roleplay and thought it was actually personal, even though I was probably at the age where I should have known better.)
Anf season 6 will always be my favorite season for the reasons you've pointed out.
I totally agree with this list. Great video! I also started watching in season 7 and I was loving it so much. Especially decked out.
I remember getting up in the morning to see if Grian did the back of his castle base yet
I always assumed he was never going to lol
Honestly, season 6 was when I started really, and my favorite.
season 6 was my favorite because in 2019 i came across grians channel and his hermitcraft videos and until now i have watched all of grians hermitcraft videos and other videos. hes one of my favorite youtubers of all time
I feel like season 1 should have been put in memorable because its the first season and easily comes to mind
I almost did
Plus it started it all off...
Yes it was a very memorable season kinda sad that he didnt put it in there :(
S1 hasn't aged well. I'd put it in bad, the only hermits to have good episodes were Joe & ThePixelNerds (who didn't stay on too long before the band broke up)
@@chdreturnsbut it was the first season
Hermitcraft 7 was easily the best season by far in my opinion
I feel like proximity chat played a big part in making hermitcraft 8 so big
I was hoping you’d mention Keralis’ city in my opinion the grindiest base ever made
My Favorite base of S7 actually lol
its only now i realise how long ive been watching hermit craft, i can rember things all they way back too season 3, this was such a trip down memory lane
@@frankgrimes7388 Am I aloud to ask why you stopped watching, because of him?
This is tricky. Season 9 will most certainly be cool, but with the hermits being burnt out and either joining late or not playing makes it both memorable and ok...
The caption just called Grian “Gerdian” I’m dying 😂😂😭😭💀💀
The Best Hermitcraft Season..... The next one. Each Season has its iconic builds and moments but one things remains consistent. Each season is better than the previous one.
Dude… trust me you got season 4 HELLA wrong. Season 4 should be above 3 for sure. I think season 4 should be memorable and season 3 should’ve been ok. Overall great researched and quality video though👍
season 4 was amazing. i’m ngl im so annoyed at how he placed it
This list made me realize that I first watched Hermitcraft during season 2 without knowing it. Was a big fan of Monkeyfarm and Slipgator.
Then came back to it at Season 6. Man time flies.
It pains me that the logo for season six has six spelled out in letters, but every other season is in like the number form it just gives me that ick
Season 5 from Mumbos perspective will always be my favourite
Season 4 was when I first started watching and maybe thats why I think it should be higher but season 7 is still my favorite. Etho always just uploaded 2 or 3 vidoes in the beginning of each season but in season 7 uploaded throughout the season and was an absolute joy to watch.
If I ask me I luv Season 8 and I personally think it's the best season because of the storyline, the different shopping factions and mainly the builds of the season.
The return of the king
Thanks for the clarification!
I would put season 4 in memorable because it’s what started the creation of how modern hermitcraft functions today
i think that season 8 was the best, it was really exciting to watch it because almost every episode something un expected would happen, i also liked that it had a very interesting story line. Even thought it was very short i liked it
Yes my fav season
I wasn't really fan of the big scripted event in it.
My list would be -
Season 4 - I think it was a good blend of building (many builds blended nicely into the terrain, and with each other, co-labs, but not doing too much (i.e., no mega-bases that I can remember).
I've always been a Scar fan, so my hermitcraft journey started with season 4, giving it a special place in my heart.
the first episode of hermitcraft i watched was grians first in s6. Absolutely loved it, started watching mumbo, again loved it. Season 6 is definitely the most iconic and overall best season ever. There is a reason i can remember what happened in perfect chronological order.
AAAA YOUR BACKKK ETHO IS ALSO BACK 😭😭😭
Don't know how this popped up in my recommended a year later, but I'm glad it did. Thank you!
I might be a little biased to season 5 since that was the season i started watching
Fantastic video again Sodio! Very well made. And despite you not watching lots of the older seasons you summarised them pretty well! My personal list would probably be as follows:
Amazing: Season 4, Season 6, Season 7
Memorable: Season 2
Decent: Season 1, Season 3
Okay: Season 5, Season 8
Only OG's remember when Mumbo sang about Sugarcane and Brick walls back in season 3
Season 4 was my first so it always has a special place with me
Season 4 was when i started watching, it will always be very memorable for me.
Season 6 is my personal fav, its when I started watching and I loved it, there was so much stuff going on.
Honestly this list is exactly the same as how I would’ve ranked them. I started watching at the end of season 6 similar to you :)
Season 8 is for sure my favorite season, it was short but so damn fun to experience
I started watching in season 2 with mumbo, would definitely say you explained that one well
S6 was my start. It was a lot fun to start my first season, especially after the EVO SMP. Loved the civil war and the creation of Sahara.
I really liked Season 8. Perhaps there is some bias from it being the first season I watched all the way through, but I think the limited amount of time to get everything done creates some pressure to concentrate the shenanigans and make more memorable moments
You could argue saying grian technically saved and revived hermitcraft
Also season 5 was their most popular season before season 6.
yeah, i was scratching my head.... i came in right at the beginning of season 5 and that is still probably my favorite... wish they had just said screw it and had item shops in the never forget the big dig donut .. the epic con vex pranks ... well's castle and town build .. false's pirate island .. x's manmade volcano ... oh man, cub's island and his nether hub (pour a little for the russian space doggos) ... so much more
Hilarious that I, watching since season 1, would watch this video all the way through lol
Lol I started at 8 cause I was a fan of gem and after season 8 I watched 6 and 7
I started on OG Mindcrack but Season 2 Hermitcraft was my first season I watched Mainly from Skyzim, Pungence and Kingdaddydmac pov then took a break years later and got back into hermitcraft at like season 5/6
In my opinion, season 8 is the most fun, season 7 is the most impressive and season 6 is a perfect mix of both.
It's so interesting how the different hermits thrive in different seasons according to their playstyles (for example bdubs and tango in S7, grian in S8, iskall in S6).
I’ve been watching since season 5. It is so nice to see Hermitcraft become so popular again.
“Iconic. Iconic…. Iconic, iconic.. iconic” 💀
Hermitcraft 4 was my first season because way back then, I was a Goodtimeswithscar follower. My favorite part was the Logfellas trial. Scar was the judge.
The golf course cub built in season 6 was amazing
I love season 6, its my favorite by far, I love grians music its so good so fitting, and overall it makes the season the best one for me, I love the civil war, the build battle, demise, tag, karalis's gambling addiction and so many others
As I started watching in Season 7, I agree with this list
I feel like season 9 is shaping up to be amazing. Decked out, tcg, empires corssover are all huge. Empires crossover being a great mix between roleplay hermits and nonroleplay hermits. Despite it getting a bit inactive with burnout, the card game has brought a lot of people back to the server, cant wait for the future
bro really ripped out the hopes and dreams from undertale for season 8's background music
also great video
I've watched since season 6. I technically started with 7, but I quickly checked back a season of what I could find. 7 is def my favorite. I do feel like 8 and 9 have been a huge decline for me. It seemed like a lot of hermits no longer felt like doing HC anymore. They put it on the 1.17 change, but you could still see that people just didn't like whatever was going on or just lost the will to still do minecraft in a certain way.
Amazing Video!
I started watching in season 8, I wish I was there way back
Season 6 deserves a s tier rank because of: *Oh Mumbo Mumbo Jumbo Afk, Afk, I’m gonna take that mu-stash away, stash away*
Ranking s4 like you did is outrageous
7 is probably the objective best season, but 6 is my favorite. First one I watched, and it’s really what I think of when I think of hermitcraft.
Man s3 should be top tier imo
Idk might just be nostalgic but it was the one where i actively waited for episodes to release never had that after
Hermitcraft season 8 cops a lot of flack but really it was just the best storytelling I've ever seen in an SMP. I started watching in season 8 so I can't say that I know what it was like before, but it was awesome watching this story line unfold. And I will still remember the feeling of when I watched the moon crash down. It was so awesome, so unlike anything I had expected, it was such an epic way to end the season.
i started watching when season 4 began, and followed it and season 5 very closely, so they were my favorite. i loved the beginning of season 6, but for whatever reason i stopped watching. i wish i had stayed though, because it sounds like it was a lot of fun. i did tune in every now and then for things, but still only barely remember things. and then i didn't watch ANY of season 7, but then finally returned with season 8, and have been watching since.
so if i had to rank it, it would be
AMAZING: season 4, season 5, season 8
MEMORABLE: season 6, though i only watched part of it
and yeah i dont have any seasons in the decent or okay category lmao. and i didn't rank 1-3 or 7 because i didn't watch them
I Started Watching Hermitcraft From Season 7, And I Must Say Season 7 Is One Of My Favourite Season So Far ❤️
Same as well, but I think if I watched season 6 when it happened, I would’ve liked it better
@@SodioYT yeah that too 🔥
S6 is THE Hermitcraft season
felt like the conclusion of all then other past seasons
S7 is THE Hermitcraft season
because it started the modern trends of hermitcraft
basically a rebirth between s6 & s7
Wait dinerbone was a member of hermitcraft
