Harvies (robotic harvesters) have to be placed over every tray, but this arm can run along an arbitrary linear rail with arbitrary stop positions. You can define the stop it shall go to, and you can read out the overall rail Index position. It can even put into / pick up arbitrary items from Chute Bins! That seems like a HUGE thing emerging on the horizon here!
Happy independence day! Lower case, because it's not a fancy product name, it's a *meaning*.
We've kept the scope small for this first iteration but once the base is solid, we plan to expand this arm to have more capabilities.
That sounds great! Not as great as the preliminary placeholder sounds, but still. Looking forward to it :)
Hey, uh ... once we've got nuclear, the arm could safely handle radioactive material (e.g. reactor or cooling rods, uranium).

I don't know how possible it would be, but if we had a device for mining raw materials that could be expanded using railway tracks, similar to this device, it would be great

thxs that helped me a lot. accidently build like 3 dockingstations and no rails. have to try that today after work build some rails, plant some plants and see if it now make sense of reading the hydroponic tray data to send the lorre where it is needed
It's important to consider that for whatever reason (Hopefully just "minimal implementation for now".), you have to build the rails towards the right of the station. Has been a while since I last played Stationeers. Always liked playing around with it and constructing overly complicated but satisfying systems😅
Maybe I'll give it a shot again soon
Good luck and all the fun to you! - Just keep in mind that this is Beta, so it'll be a few weeks before something new like this comes up in the mainstream version. But I've been playing Beta for half a year now, so I can recommend it.
