Robben Ford's technique is a masterclass in the efficiency and economy of motion all guitar players who are of a certain level strive for and so few ever achieve. His technique is almost mechanical in its perfection, yet his feel and touch are softer than a butterfly wearing slippers. Truly one of the last great masters.
i would really love to have a beer with this man, and talk about life in general, I really love the dude, he seems so nice and grounded, soft spoken and polite, and considering who he is, and what he has done, the cats he has played with, don't tell me that wouldn't be an amazing experience, Robben is a treasure , and if we could add the final touch to such an evening, I would ask Robben to call mike landau o have a coffee afterwards.... jajjajajajajaja greetings from spain fellas.
If Stock I dare say possibly THE best Neck pickup ever to leave the factory... clay dot braz neck gonna say early 60s thus hotter neck pup and the look of that neck. Rare to find one stock that way always wanted to change the neck pups for that reason.
why ? that just gonna be a more expensive standard......with his name on,....the same happened with the fender robben ford, that was just a more expensive fender flame.
I love Robbens thing where he bars the high 3 strings and waveres back and forth....some phsycadellic movement and it's absolute boss....38 seconds in.
A '60 Tele has a personality and Mr. Ford brings out the full personality of that instrument with his playing. Sounds fantastic in all p/up settings. Thanks.
I saw a yt interview where he says hes most proud of that solo...the only recorded solo he plays Live according to the man himself...great track, great album
Hi Robben,, I remember you offering lessons in the San Diego Reader. 80's ? Thx to internet I've got to see you play and I really enjoy it. Thank you Robben !
Some year ago I did'nt know about robben ford. But a manager introduced me. This is great! I wish he held a guitar course, since I am somewhat of a beginner! :)
He would have a beatiful sound with a 100Euro Eko Guitar (with respect!) and I would be rough and noisy with that beautiful Telecaster. So the best title is Robben Ford playing.
man Robben, that guitar sounds so good! Maybe you are right when you say it is the best tele!...lol. He always uses the perfect amount of short delay slapback.
My favorite is still the signature guitar he did for Fender back in the early 90's. The time is right for a new signature offering from Robben and Fender perhaps?
And? Guitar players have whimsical inclinations for playing a particular guitar in any given setting, perhaps that week he was feeling it on the PRS more, I have seen Robben playing everything from an Epiphone semi-hollow to Gibson 335, Telecaster, Stratocaster, the PRS thing is not significant, it was his choice for that concert, that's all.
It's a funny thing that many (perhaps even most?) guitar heroes in the aftermath of their career seem to fall back on the clean, undistorted sound of a straight forward single coil telecaster. One of those guys once told me that according to him the telecaster is simply the ultimate guitar. Well then, let's put that in the rock bible (as soon as someone bothers to write one).
I couldn't believe that i found a new telecaster which is as good if not better than this one ...every guitar is different...so you don't have to pay ridiculous amounts of money for a good guitar if you can recognise it
I'm a simple man...I see Robben+'60 Tele and I watch.
Two treasures, Robben and his Tele.
.. and his Dumble
@@leopoldbloom3297 I stand corrected. For sure...
..and Electricity grid and cables and microphonez , video recorders the WWW and the Fans!
I just love it when Robben plays that telecaster 😊
Me too
Love his tele playing.
Him and Keef.
There’s so much wisdom in Robben’s craft. Think of his journey and all the experiences that have gone into his music. We’re a lucky bunch!
The smoothness that his hands press the strings and navigate the fret board is amazing. Truly a master in his element.

Nothing like the sound of the neck pickup on a Tele. I've always loved your use of jazz chords in your blues.
I hear ya

I've got a 50 year old Tele sat by my side every day. What more could u want.
Maybe 55 years old...😂
Man, that bridge pickup....
The earlier Tele's had killer sounding bridge pickups, more rock sounding rather than the spankier country tones on the later instruments
Love that your playing the Tele again! Your playing is always fresh and inspires us all to be better players.
I alway makes me happy and hopefulmto watch Robben play his Tele :-)
Would love to see a Fender Signature model of this guitar!
Check out Dave's Guitar Shop limited edition '62 Telecaster. I have one and it's spot-on Robben vibes.
why ? that just gonna be a more expensive standard......with his name on,....the same happened with the fender robben ford, that was just a more expensive fender flame.
Masterful playing.
That is one sweet Tele brother
Great feel and killer sound!

Rose of Sharon, great solo in this song. Wonderful lyrics too.

Stock phrases on a Cro-Magnon electric quickly evolve into otherworldly texturing.
Fabulous sound from that old Tele
The Master
See you at Ronnie Scott’s next month. Can’t wait and thank you.
That is a special Tele Robben. Thanks for sharing
🙏thank you, I needed that today.
fantastic sound Robben!
Thank you Robben for your art!
Love the guy … big fan

He has instruction videos out
I’m pretty sure I heard a line in there … “just do somethin’ for you”.
Excellent Robben, excellent!
The master caster ❤
The Magic of a Telecaster and a great player
Rose of Sharon? Nice! That Tele is perfect.
That may be true, but if so, how can Robben be far better than the Tele?! Which he is.
Great sounds good!
Grande Robben ❤❤
Like 590 per questo meraviglioso video 👍👏👏👏
Exquisite
Robben is forever awesome..... what a tone and feel👊 Nice of that tool to just push in front of you....

Hey Mr. Ford, when will you visit Chile, there are thousands of us who are waiting for you!!...you won't regret it....
Guitar God!
Love that guitar. I see the OX Amp but not the Dumble. One of the greatest Tele sounds ever courtesy of a truly incredible player..
Robben catch a Broomstick and sound like god. 😁
He wasn't even playing with the OX... it was there but we didn't use it
I know you are the best!
Sweet!
Generational artist
Cool guitar, even cooler guy !
Mestre!
Whatever the guitar is, the Robben Ford the trademark sound will get out.
top guitarist in the world
100% Soulful
hard to beat an old Tele !!!!!!!!!!!!
What's over on the couch?
Sounds good through that Two Rock ...
He would have a beatiful sound with a 100Euro Eko Guitar (with respect!) and I would be rough and noisy with that beautiful Telecaster. So the best title is Robben Ford playing.

Telecaster is the best guitar ❤
A Tele and a good player, that`s it!

Cool.
Great behind is the Great Gibson 😎 TCB 😎
😍
You can play all styles on a télé when you are Robben Ford
So many magic notes flow from his guitar in two minutes and few seconds😊
are these original 60 stock pickups?
THROUGH a DUMBLE Amp😊
what amp did you play through on this video?
What strings you using Robben, Elixir!? They sound like your breaking them in.
What ever happened to the PRS signature model ?
👍
🤙🏼
Meant to play a Telecaster as Roy & Danny .
Tasty! 🙏👍👍
🙂🙂🙂
Funny, I(ve been to a concert of Robben last week. He had only one guitar on stage and it was....... a PRS
And? It was possibly his signature model. He’s gonna have to play it at some point
Tasty as always
Sounds like every day is a new string day? 🎸🎵
I didn't know them notes was there.
What amp?
And the amp underneath the OX is?
Two Rock
Two Rock Studio Pro 35

@@markokrstanovic3444 well yes... it's that amp... but we were only using the power amp of it...

That Tele bridge is not the stock one.

He uses tens.
