    It would be great if you finished the process by sewing a mockup of this pattern so we can follow each step of your cutting and sewing to completion. This will help make sense of everything you did. Without that we are left to try things out on our own and probably fail…watching you go through the aforementioned steps of cutting then sewing pieces together would be priceless

    Just to add, could you possibly do a tutorial on a strapless bodice with a yoke, in the same measurements?
    My bride thinks she would prefer it. 🙏🙏

    Brilliant tutorial! I have watched many, but yours is much easier to follow. You speak at just the right speed.
    Plus, your measurements are practically identical to my brides, just the odd 1” here and there.
    Thank you.

    Thank you so much for this tutorial. I recently had to make a dress for a plus size client, and this was what I did (not exactly the same method) because it was the only thing that made sense. Viola it came out so well 😁

    This work come up as a result of great commitment, hard work and serious thinking. Thank you. I have two questions:(a) is it good to come down and up at nipple point to avoid pointed bulge at nipple area? B. Can you please give me your skirt drafting tutorials as you promised in your lecture? Thanks.

    Please what if the difference between the front half length and back half length is 5? Can we apply same by reserving 2 to the back or we can take all 5 from the burst dart?

    • @uwebyanuri

      You can take 3.5 or 4 at the bust dart and keep 1.5 or 1 at the side back. Trust me, it will still give the same result. Just don't make what you are taking out from the front almost equal or equal to what you are adding to the back.

    • @uwebyanuri

      Yes it was measured on the client. Because of how busty the client is, the difference between the front and the back is more.

    It's said the front armhole should be narrower that the back.

    • @uwebyanuri

      You include zipper allowance when you are now cutting on your fabric. This pattern has no seam allowance.

    Please if one isn’t adding a zip to the Center back is that contour still needed? 5:15

    • @uwebyanuri

      Personally I would add the contour for a better fit. You can do that with a seam at the centre back. But if your style does not require it, then you can skip it. But the fittings will not be the same.

    Best,u are indeed a teacher,very grateful MA, God I like ur explanation ,I want to ask a question ma,please if it is not a bustier ,how can we do with that 7inches difference

    • @uwebyanuri

      Thank you so much for being here. If it's not bustier, the difference should start from the measurement taking. When taking measurements for bustiers, your tape has to pass under the bust down to the waist and then the full length. But in a case of say shirt or just a loose fitting gown or blouse, I wouldn't take my measurements like that. I'll just take it straight, and as a result, there won't be any need for the difference in front and back half length.
      I hope you understand.

  • @beebeetea

    Thanks a lot for this - I will be drafting and making something out of this! I will let you know the outcome! Based on this persons measurement - Front bodice and Back bodice difference is 7 and youve used 5 for the front bust dart and the remaining 2 inches at the back waist - I noticed you commented that if the difference were 5, you could use 4 for front and 1 for the back - my question is, is there a specific way you could "share" the difference or its just an arbitrary method!
    Assume the difference was 6 for instance or 4, how would you share this? I hope it makes sense? Thanks

    • @uwebyanuri

      Yes I got your question. This is where your creativity comes in. It's just an arbitrary method. The trick there is to give the front as much as you can in such a way that it does not exceed the under bust line more than 1 inch. I hope this helps

    • @beebeetea

      @@uwebyanuri thanks that makes sense

    • @beebeetea

      Sorry to bother you again but when you were calculating the front bust and back bust sharing formula - you added 2 to the front and took away 2 from the back, for waist you used 1 - is this the ease that is normally added to bust, waist or hips that you took away or added? Thanks

    No zipper allowance

    • @uwebyanuri

      The pattern is without allowances. When you are cutting directly on your fabric, you add the necessary allowance
