I’ve been down the rabbit hole awhile now consuming various retirement content by numerous reputable presenters. That being said this video is to the point, well stated and summarizes many angles in a concise package. Well done!

So my question is…why not want to leave money for the kids and grand kids? It seems like the general consensus is to spend your retirement savings during the retirement years. The problem is no one really knows when that day will come…when you pass.
My personal goal is to try and create some generational wealth for my kids, if able. God only knows.
    Thanks for the informational video.

That’s is absolutely a goal for many and a prime example of why rules of thumb are just a starting point. What I hate to see from my end is people reaching the end of their lives and regretting not spending more of their money on themselves or retiring sooner with less $$ than they thought they needed. Thanks for your comment!

You can withdraw any amount you want. You're the one who will live with the consequences.
All I'll do is set a budget for different phases of life in retirement. For example, I'd set a budget for the go go years.
