Let me know if you enjoy the comparison videos better like this one, against the thrift store! Or if you like them against other stores that are more comparable? Remember, even if you don't like the thrift store setup better than the Pottery Barn one: wasn't it fun to see what you can do spending a lot less money! Hopefully it gets your creativity flowing, and your mind thinking for your own home!
Your tree branch looks more high end than the one from pottery barn!!! It’s fuller and the leaves are bigger. Thank you for doing this video, watching people create things is so inspiring.
🤔 The leaves that she put celery wash on do not appear to be the same leaves that she used on the branch. The leaves on the branch had stems on them and the ones in the wash scene did not. Am I missing something?
Leslie, I didn’t think you needed to redeem yourself at all. I think your branches looked equally as good as Pottery Barn (if not better) and even if you had bought pumpkins, you still would have been way under in cost. You’re always fun to watch and very good at what you do. Thanks for showing us just what we can accomplish if we put our mind to it.
I so agree with everyone who said “there is nothing to redeem.“ When I choose a TH-cam channel to watch, it is mostly because I was first attracted to the presenter and then whatever content they choose to offer is a bonus. You don’t have to try to please us. Whatever you choose to take the time to share with us is a gift. And you are the best gift, so please just know that! You are a breath of fresh air to so many of us out here.
I'm just blown away Leslie . I can't believe what you have done. Your tree branch looks incredible and the work you put into this video for your subscribers that were displeased with your first video shows just how serious you are about your channel. I just wanted to say thank you so much for all of your work and dedication. I really hope that you have an incredible week ahead. Now put your feet up and try to take a little break. See you in your next video 💞💕💓🤗💓💕💞 Just wanted to add your husband is the luckiest man in the world to have you as a wife .
Watched with my daughter. When we saw your leafy branch, we both yelled, "so much better than Pottery Barn!" Beautiful. The vase painting just needed different application, like perhaps a sponge. LOVED the pumpkins, although I do like the green PB pumpkin. Great ideas!!! TY!❤
I like the thrifty way / look best. I have always been inspired by others and try to create similar on a budget. Things dont have to be expensive. Branding makes it that way unfortunately. We cant all afford to buy anthropology, ballard design, pottery barn ABC home ... I enjoy getting the look and feel for much less money. We ALL get inspiration from somewhere. Craft/ thrift and save on.
I absolutely love thrift stores! You definitely have a gift for envisioning how you can make those things similar to the store bought items! You really didn’t have to redeem yourself, all your videos are helpful and most of all they are authentic! 🧡
Leslie, You have never let me down! You are amazing! I can't believe how you were able to create the branch with the leaves. Totally unbelievable. You' have such a great eye and your DIY skills are terrific. This was a great comparison.
Your arrangement looks amazing Leslie. Everything turned out beautiful. Your tree branches and leaves look so good and your vase turned out great. You always put out wonderful videos so don’t feel like you need to redo them to satisfy some people. You are the sweetest person. Look forward to seeing your next video.
Here's a hint: next time paint your vase white and then black and then set lightly sand off some of the black. I do like the comparison between pottery Barn and the thrift store
I love, love your thrift store version! I would love to see more of your dupes. You did an amazing job, I'd put that on my island for sure! Well done, girl!
Awesome comparison Leslie, I love the thrift store one because it's done with love and nearly nothing compared to pottery barn. I can't even afford to "Breathe" in that store.
Oh yeah! Your decorations you made looked way better Leslie. I don't think I would have painted the Vase. The color of the Vase matched your cabinets and was more of a fall color. I am a Thrift Store person. I decorate my whole house in Thrift Store, Garage Sale & Auction finds. U did an AWESOME job. Thanks!
Super job. Your branch is outstanding. Just perfect! While you did not have to redo your Halloween setup, using thrift store materials showed us another of your many talents.
Leslie, I agree you did not have to redeem yourself, you are giving us many options. They all great options, you have my mind spinning how I can use things I already have and just as some new things. You are always a bright light to the day with so many ideas and tips. Love, love your videos with Jason also.
That is a great thrift store!Thrift store is the winner! No need to pay that much for just a few months of decoration. Plus so much more creative. You did an awesome job on the limb!!! WOW!
I love that you made or revamped your thrift store items. I absolutely love those homemade pumpkins!! So cute! My vote is for the thrift store centerpiece. It’s so worth the work you put into it and has more interest.
You outdid yourself and it turned out beautiful! Wow the money you can save by using your imagination! If I decorate for a season ,usually fall Christmas/ winter and spring/summer , it’s thrifted or from the great outdoors .
Years ago I went shopping with a friend who was looking for Fall decor for her dining table because she was having a small dinner party for her husband’s coworkers and managers. We went to PB, RH and C&B. She spent a fortune and I was just speechless. I would have gone to Target and Walmart back then.... today I would have done just what you did ... thrift stores and diy. I know a lot of people that feel really good when they spend a lot of money to purchase the “best” that money can buy (in their opinions), however I’m just the complete opposite and brag about how little I spent and feel so proud about being cheap and a bargain hunter. Your tree branch with the leaves was absolutely gorgeous... I will be trying my best to recreate it.... TFS 🍁
I loved the thrift store comparison! I am a thrift store shopper. I save pictures of vignettes that I like and look for less expensive alternatives. I have to be patient sometimes because they don't always have what I want, but then I go back the next week and I find something that will work! I keep an open mind as I'm looking and have found great success. Also, I have learned that things don't have to match piece for piece. It's the "feel" I'm going for. If I can find things with the right dimensions, the display works.
OMG! Yours is SO much better! Especially the pot and leaves. Much prettier! I don’t really mind whether it’s Thrift or a Hobby Lobby type comparison. They are all great.😍 If you’d done “apples for apples” with HL, it might have been somewhere in the middle (price wise), so definitely fun to see the thrift examples every so often. Thank you for all you do for us silly folk out in “view ville!!”😁
I'm with Sarah! You did an amazing job with the fall twig. Love the pot .... can't win em all ... the cups were too muted but like you said, had you painted the face black, it would've been great! I like it and I'd do it your way for sure - any day! More money in your pocket!
Absolutely no apology needed, Leslie! Both versions were informative and entertaining. It's your channel and you can do whatever you like on it! We are guests in your home when watching your videos. I loved the way you did the branch in today's video - that was incredible.
Perfect! Woman after my heart! If someone says they spent “x” amount of $$, I purposely try to replicate it using thrift finds and paint. Even repaint loved items from year to year. Your leaves/branch were so inspiring! LOVED IT!! Especially loved the big black jug! Paint covers a multitude of sins lol
Yes! Yes! Yes Leslie! I especially love the branch. It looks so good! This just shows that with imagination and ingenuity, you don’t have to spend a lot of money and you get a great sense of satisfaction. I hope Pottery Barn will let you return their overly priced decor 😊
Its amazing how beautiful your tree brach turned out! Everything from getting the branch from your own backyard to colorwashing the leaves , right down to the fact you just came up with that idea. Turned out great!!
Leslie, I love watching all of your videos no matter what they are. You are such a joyful person and I see God’s light shining through you! Your videos just make me feel happy!
I loved this comparison! Your thrift store arrangement is beautiful and you have the satisfaction of knowing you made it work with a little craftiness! Also, the price difference….! I agree with another viewer, You HAVE NOT let us down! I LOVE your videos!
WOW!!!! Your Fall foliage branch came out amazing!!!! Loved seeing the comparison, the foliage from PB was insane at $60!! Too much money. I love the upcycling with the branch, and what a great idea to create your mugs instead of finding pumpkin mugs out there. I love shopping at thrift, there are so many great treasures!
That was actually awesome. I do like the thrift store one better because I’m a thrift store girl myself. I like the fact that you were able to go in your backyard and get the sticks and glue the leaves on that really looks better than the other one. Thank you
Ok, first, I didn’t feel let down by your previous video at all. That said, I really loved seeing how you were able to recreate the expensive PB look with thrift store finds and some elbow grease. Super fun video and super impressive diy!
I loved this video! You did a great job! I loved the thrift store version better. Making that from twigs in the backyard and glueing the leaves came out better than the $60 one from PB!
I want to compliment you, Leslie. Your 'thrift-art' is way better looking than the expensive 'design' stuff. At first I thought the branch wouldn't do it for me, but you surprised me and I will copy your idea 🙂 Regards from The Netherlands.
Amazing job, Leslie! While I certainly didn’t see the need for you to redeem yourself, I so enjoyed seeing your incredible creativity with the thrifted finds! I am inspired to search for a branch and fire up my glue gun! I liked the look of yours better than the ones from PB! Thank you for all you do for us!
Thrift store is the winner in my book! Your DIY branch I think is better that the expensive one. I'm definitely going to try the toilet paper trick for my fall decor. Thanks for the tips!
Leslie I love this! you did an amazing job with the thrift store one and I have to be honest I like your "made" branch so much better ❤️ and the whole thrift store one was just so great and the price well thats a Win-Win!!!!
You certainly didn’t need to redeem yourself. You are so sweet. You do this for us out here and everything you did was fantastic! Now! Your thrift store creations were soooo good! You totally nailed it! Such a creative mind you have! Applause applause 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏! 🙋♀️💕🌴
Loved your thrift store version!!! That fall leaves branch is incredible, even tho it did take awhile to create. I do enjoy following your videos, both decor and the courageous sharing of your life. I'm one of those that probably reflects as the viewer that is not subscribed, because I usually watch on my daughter's big TV...and my subscription is on my phone. Regardless, I do enjoy..and keep your family in my prayers.
You are too much!!! I thought the first video was just fine. This second one - you outdid yourself! I’ve copied expensive ideas for years. It’s always a matter of time/energy/money - how much of each resource do I have? Your DIY project is only 10% of the Pottery Barn decor! That is fantastic and amazing! Well done. Plus, PB items were probably made in China. It’s so much nicer when it’s handmade!
You nailed it and you never need to feel like you let anyone down. I know you are strong. You are stronger than anyone I know and I support you and will share your channel with my friends.
I did enjoy the comparison! The thrift store one looks very nice. I think most people would like it. However, the Pottery Barn one just looked softer and richer. Thanks for doing this!
Your creation is much more appealing, imo, and I intend to make the branch with leaves to go with my decades old fabric pumpkins… thanks for the inspiration!
Great job, the Thrift store one looks just as good, especially the branch and leaves. Don’t let peoples negative comments get you down. I enjoyed watching you doing the Crafting.
Love this video. You have created a fabulous DIY replication of the Pottery Barn look. I love the idea of DIY to save money, especially for a short-term decor display. When I win a huge lottery I can buy the expensive stuff and get a house with room to store it all. :) A tiny tip for the future - use a sponge (sea sponge if you can find it - check craft stores) to dab watered-down white paint on the vase and then another clean wet sponge to remove some of that white paint if you need to. This will give the more splattered look you were going for.
Oh my gosh....you are delightful! I am really enjoying your videos. I even borrowed your idea for Halloween and found a dead branch and put scarecrows on it! I love everything about you! Thank you for ALL you do in the midst of being a caregiver! Hugs and prayers...always!
Love this comparison video! Not only that, but I like the DIY vase and leaves better than store bought! Love the cake plate too. Now you have me ready to go thrifting myself!!
You did an amazing job! The thrift store decor is not only less expensive but way more beautiful in my opinion. (I'm a bit biased as a regular thrift store shopper!) There's nothing like the thrill of the hunt at thrift stores. Keep up this kind of content if you have the energy for it,!
Love the thrift store one for the price, the pumpkins from pottery barn are my pick. But Walmart gets pumpkins in that are just as cute. I would never spend $331.00 for a look. Thanks for the awesome ideas.
You did not disappoint before, it was two different looks. This time I like the thrift store version, beautiful, especially the branch with faux leaves. Pottery barn has nice things but too expensive for me. Thrift store, thumbs up. Have a blessed day
The comparison video was so fun to watch. My favorite part was the vase with the branches and leaves, they looked so much like the ones from Pottery Barn! Very clever!
I absolutely loved your version!!!! You showed just how easy it is to not only save money but make something beautiful with thrifty items 🌻 Thank you!!
Leslie, you did a great job with the Pottery Barn vs Hobby Lobby fall decor. I would choose the HL arrangement over the PB one without hesitation. It was fuller and had more interest. And your thrift store comp was good too, but required some work. You're talented. Thank you for going through the comparisons!
I think it’s extremely kind of you to go through all of the trouble you have because you felt as if you’d let your viewers down (I still don’t feel you had to redeem yourself at all). Having said that; you truly went above and beyond! You’re creativity is fascinating. Everything looks incredible. Great job!! Thank you for sharing!
Loved the comparison. My budget or priorities does not allow me to replace decor every year. I reuse or thrift store. As to thrift store, my friends and I agree and have talked to thrift store, their prices are too high too, recently. These items are FREE donations. Their target market would be at Pottery Barn if they could afford it. Know they have overhead like all businesses, but remember your name and target market. I do not go to a thrift to spend big bucks per item. You did a great job! You are always a winner!
Love the Thrift store one. It looks crafty homemade in comparison to the ready bought and just put together. Both beautiful but the homemade ones are more appreciated due to the fact of the work involved to get to the finished product. You are so, so talented! Love your channel!
I love all your videos.
Your video was very informative. I would never spend that much...But thank you for sharing.
I liked the video, the branch really turned out beautiful.
Your work is awesome!!
Your videos are great
Now, now. You NEVER let us down. I love the leaf creation--using a wash to tone down the garish DT leaves was brilliant. You have inspired me!
Your tree branch looks more high end than the one from pottery barn!!! It’s fuller and the leaves are bigger. Thank you for doing this video, watching people create things is so inspiring.
I completely agree!
Same here! I plan to recreate it. The celery wash idea is a gamechanger I never would have thought of... even better than cream or white...
🤔 The leaves that she put celery wash on do not appear to be the same leaves that she used on the branch. The leaves on the branch had stems on them and the ones in the wash scene did not. Am I missing something?
I agree!!!
Amen! These comments about redemption, as if Leslie was on trial. Be kind and enjoy!
Agree! Didn't need to do over.
Though I have to say, I liked your branch way better then the pottery barn. Nice job.
I love the thrift cakestand better too!
You inspire me to create, too! Thank you so much!!!❤😊
I so agree with everyone who said “there is nothing to redeem.“ When I choose a TH-cam channel to watch, it is mostly because I was first attracted to the presenter and then whatever content they choose to offer is a bonus. This is exactly what I wanted to say but much more eloquently phrased. :)
I love this sweet comment!
I'm just blown away Leslie . I can't believe what you have done. @@ACharmingAbode so are you sweetheart may God continue to bless you and Jason
Totally agree with you, Laura.
I couldn’t agree more! She is truly such a joy to watch each and every time!! 💗💗
I couldn't agree more ❤️💯
Watched with my daughter. When we saw your leafy branch, we both yelled, "so much better than Pottery Barn!" Beautiful. The vase painting just needed different application, like perhaps a sponge. LOVED the pumpkins, although I do like the green PB pumpkin. Great ideas!!! TY!❤
Love the thrift store setup. Especially the branch and leaves….
You did a great job and I love your enthusiasm and humble attitude.
I absolutely love the side-by-side comparison doing thrift store with a regular store! Please do more!
Both are nice. The thrift store one was amazing. The branch with DT leaves is ingenious!! Awesome job.
I like the thrifty way / look best. I have always been inspired by others and try to create similar on a budget. Things dont have to be expensive. Branding makes it that way unfortunately. love the thrift store vs regular store comparisons 😃. what a fantastic idea and a great way to encourage upcycling!
Leslie, You have never let me down! You are amazing! I can't believe how you were able to create the branch with the leaves. Totally unbelievable. You' have such a great eye and your DIY skills are terrific. This was a great comparison.

I really like your leaf branches better. I think you did a great job. I would never pay pottery barn prices. Great job!🍁
I thought the same thing. The branches she made were way cuter
I love, love your thrift store version! I would love to see more of your dupes. You did an amazing job, I'd put that on my island for sure! Well done, girl!

Yes! More of THIS! Store vs. thrift store. I live in a resort town, Cape May, NJ! Victorian town but we have loads of great thrift finds!
Great vid Leslie.
Leslie,
I agree you did not have to redeem yourself, you are giving us many options. They all great options, you have my mind spinning how I can use things I already have and just as some new things. You are always a bright light to the day with so many ideas and tips. Love, love your videos with Jason also.
Loved this one. Think yours looks better because of the tree.
That is a great thrift store!Thrift store is the winner! No need to pay that much for just a few months of decoration. Plus so much more creative. You did an awesome job on the limb!!! WOW!
Whoop whoop! You have redeemed yourself. Such a classy crafter you are. Great job , Leslie. You rocked the Thrift Store finds.

Amazing!! Wonderful comparison and shocking price difference. Plus lots of ideas to create our own look!! I would love some fireplace ideas for fall🍁
They are all great.😍
If you’d done “apples for apples” with HL, it might have been somewhere in the middle (price wise), so definitely fun to see the thrift examples every so often.
You didn't let us down with your last video...it was just fine! I loved this one as I love saving money and doing DIY's! Great job Leslie!
I think the branch and leaves you put together look so much better than the PB option. Very creative!
Absolutely no apology needed, Leslie! Both versions were informative and entertaining. It's your channel and you can do whatever you like on it! We are guests in your home when watching your videos.
I loved the way you did the branch in today's video - that was incredible.
Really impressive how you recreated the Pottery Barn look. Appreciate your creativity.
The branches with leaves look amazing!! I may even like that more than the expensive PB branches.
The diy branch w the leaves is my favorite. The vase turned out beautiful! Love the ones that you created better.
Yes! Yes!
You redeemed it. That was really good. I love how your decorating mind works. You always give us some useful ideas.
I loved this comparison! Your thrift store arrangement is beautiful and you have the satisfaction of knowing you made it work with a little craftiness! Also, the price difference….! I agree with another viewer, You HAVE NOT let us down! I LOVE your videos!
Your branch is awesome! Thrifting is so fun and love how you used what you could find. Definitely my favorite!
I love the thrift store dupe!! Girlfriend I might even have make a branch like yours. I think you did a wonderful creating your project!! Score: 10
That was actually awesome. I do like the thrift store one better because I’m a thrift store girl myself. I like the fact that you were able to go in your backyard and get the sticks and glue the leaves on that really looks better than the other one. Thank you
Enjoyed this video and the first one! You didn’t need to redeem yourself-love your ideas and inspiration. That branch you made yourself is amazing!!!
You did not let us down, you were real life and we accept that. Your followers adore you Leslie, remember that.
Ok, first, I didn’t feel let down by your previous video at all. That said, I really loved seeing how you were able to recreate the expensive PB look with thrift store finds and some elbow grease. Super fun video and super impressive diy!
Bless your heart. You went to so much work trying to please everyone, but it shows it can be done with some effort.
Well done! Doesn't matter that yours is a little time consuming - most of us have more time than money! Beautiful!
Love the thrift store version! Your tree branch is spectacular!
Wow! I love your Fall arrangement! The branches you made are gorgeous with the vessel! Yours is by far more beautiful!
I always love to see dupes that look great and can save money! Did you consider using air dry clay to add handles to the large black vase?
Great job again, Leslie ! You matched Pottery Barn to the T and you saved a lot of money. Love it.
I loved this video! It helps to see how much I can save just by doing a little DIY.
I love that you got things from the thrift store. You can find so many great things there.
Loved it with Thrift Store. My favourite part was making the pumpkins with toilet paper. Thanks for sharing.
You went to a lot of trouble to set up this video.🇨🇦
Yes! I definitely did! ❤️
You have nothing to redeem. We are lucky to have you brighten our day.
You nailed it and you never need to feel like you let anyone down. I know you are strong. You are stronger than anyone I know and I support you and will share your channel with my friends.
You are such a trooper, I didn't think you needed to redeem yourself. Boy oh boy I love what you did with minimal budget.. thank you
I did enjoy the comparison!
I cannot believe how nice the branch and leaves look. Way better than the Pottery barn ones. Clever ideas for the pumpkins. Awesome job!!
Great job Leslie. Your tree is just the best. But there was no need to ‘redeem’ yourself. You are one very busy lady. Best wishes to Jason .
I like the color of the thrift store branch better. It looked a little more natural on camera. Thanks for the awesome inspo!
So glad to see you using thrift shop items. I dont normally buy retail items so I don’t watch the videos comparing retail stores. Great video
Wow Leslie, I’m impressed. I like both comparisons however I think the diy is more fun. I love how your branch turned out WOW
You did not disappoint before, it was two different looks. This time I like the thrift store version, beautiful, especially the branch with faux leaves. Pottery barn has nice things but too expensive for me. Thrift store, thumbs up. Have a blessed day
Very similar look at about 10% of the cost. Wow! Plus with DIY you can make it your own. I love it.
Leslie Very nice. I love that you could do this with some item's found right in your back yard. The pumpkin's turned out so nice. So creative.
I really like the thrift store version best ! Especially by he branch with leaves. That was the bomb!
Quite plain and simple: Leslie you are a blessing! A true joy to watch and listen to….each and every time. And, oh yes, to pray for quite often. 💗
I enjoy the thrift store hacks. The shipping for pottery barn would be extreme on top of price. Love you showing how to hack decor ideas. Thanks
The comparison video was so fun to watch. My favorite part was the vase with the branches and leaves, they looked so much like the ones from Pottery Barn! Very clever!
the thrift store makeovers is way more prettier and brighter love it
I absolutely loved your version!!!! You showed just how easy it is to not only save money but make something beautiful with thrifty items 🌻 Thank you!!
Love the comparison with a known retailer and the thrift store! Good job! So enjoyable to watch!
I think both formats you did on the fall decorations were great. They were both fun to watch and both were inspiring.
I totally loved watching you do this one. You are so darned smart. Good to see hubby.
Love the Thrift store one. It looks crafty homemade in comparison to the ready bought and just put together. Both beautiful but the homemade ones are more appreciated due to the fact of the work involved to get to the finished product. You are so, so talented! Love your channel!
The branch looks super!!! Thanks for the tip on painting those leaves; yet definitely are too bright to look real!!!
