I love when you do the Pottery Barn V Thrift Store DIY’s. You have such a gift and you make your DIY’s very doable for those of us who may struggle sometimes with DIY’s! 😊
Love the thrift store makeover. You showed that you don't have to spend a lot to get the same look. Like the chunky beads and I agree with matte paint. You really have a great eye for decorating. Have a blessed weekend.
Pottery Barn is wonderful eye candy, but who in the world can afford them? Your ideas and arrangements are so beautiful, thank you for making our home eye caviar!
I loved the thrifted candle sticks just as they were but I know you had to spray-paint them for the comparison test. They were so nice with the wood and gold and I really think they would have complimented the colours in the room beautifully.
These are always so fun to watch! I was doubting the blue spray paint on the vase but it looked good! I would get the matte black spray paint as well. What a HUGE savings! Already looking forward to another vs. Pottery barn video!
You’re thrift store finds look so much better , you are very talented , your home is so comforting and warm . You have a gift of hospitality and you re an advocate for thrifting for fun or out of necessity , love you and your husband , blessings 💕💕💕
Good job on the pottery dupe and yes, with the candle holders there is shine to them but I know they’re going to look great once done over❤ continue to be blessed and all that you do
Leslie, you are something else!!! I definetly vote for the "Thrift Store Look". The shiny candlesticks are fine! Don't think I'd bother to do them over, but if you want to, go for it! I love your taste!
Leslie not only is it cheaper from the thrift store, but it is a lot prettier. That is my opinion. I love it. I liked this video, Leslie. Thank you for sharing.
What a great makeover on the thrift store items! I actually like that arrangement better, but I agree that the candles need a mat finish. Keeping you and Jason in my daily prayers❤🙏
I truly just love watching you…and listening to you☺️ It did humor me that when you put the black candlesticks on table, I said to myself that I would do matte. Less than 10 seconds later you said the same and I just laughed a bit. I also loved the bigger beads you chose. Finally, thank you for showing that beautiful book. I am definitely going to look for that! Thank you for yet another wonderful video 🤍🤍
Me again .. I hope you like the vintage vase tip I gave you. You give us so much with your videos that I wanted to do something for you. I guess I’ll have to sign onto my instagram, haven’t used it yet .. and show you my vases. I even had family over last fall and we did a vintage vase painting party . It was fun! Have a blessed week Leslie ! ❤. Please keep your videos coming .
I love everything you styled, Leslie, so pretty! I do agree, the matte black might tie in better with your other two pieces, but it still looks amazing if you were to leave it, as is! TFS and inspiring, sweet friend! Xoxo ❤
Love the blue color you painted…and the bargains…definitely think the bargain decorations are sharper than Pottery Barn…and yes…would use matte black on candlesticks!
Right away, Exactly my vision, is that the candle sticks were not matt but changing them to a matt, would change the look tremendously and beautifully. Great job.
Hello Leslie! What a wonderful creation from thrifting I'm with you on matt the candles & battery are safer So inspirational + more beautiful than ever God bless x
I'm so glad you are feeling better. This is my favorite type of video you produce, the dupe challenges. I actually like the pot you found better then the PB pot. The shape works great with the room and furnishings. . . . I actually prefer the large beads.
I did June’s Journey for about 2 years. Love Pottery Barn dupes! Love the chunky set of beads. The thrift store dupe looks the best and I love the price! Thanks!
Leslie I really liked the thrift store items better and agree that the candlesticks would look better in a matte finish. I never find anything good at the thrift store but you inspired me to give it another try. I really like this kind of video!
I like the thrift store look better. The scale of the vase and the candlesticks elevated it for me. I had never heard of using baking soda in that manner. I may have to do some thrift shopping soon.
I liked the chunky beads on the coffee table and fyi- if your sparkle dries out - you can add water to rejuvenate it I loved your thrift store finds Thank you for sharing!
Yay for you DIY girl ! That Thrift Store collection is right on. Yeah, candlesticks matte. Like I said before I played Junes Journey for a long time. For the same reasons. To keep my memory sharp and for the story . Her pal Sam is a looker for a sketched figure 😂 Thanjs for showing how to make pieces work just by painting them ❤️❤️😊
I liked the larger beads in the bowl. Although both were pretty; I liked the thrifted version better although the Pottery Barn bowl was beautiful bit for the price I liked the thrifted bowl. For myself I think I would paint the candle sticks matte sand colored just to coordinate with the pillows on your couch. I love your channel and ideas. You have a great talent in decorating.
Love this one! Definitely agree with the matte, and I really like the chunky beads. I did not think the blue was going to work at all, and then you did the baking soda thing and I was like "WHAT!?" that was a great tip, Leslie! I do hope you are feeling ok these days with your recent diagnosis, and I must tell you how incredible you have been giving Jason so much support at home, especially dealing with your own illnesses. I work with Teepa Snow, and I understand the unseen challenges and stresses it causes for Jason and you. As Teepa would say "take good care, with care."
I love the thrift store setup the best..the vase is a little lower and everything more balanced. Would definitely use a matte spray on the candle holders..nice job 🌸❤️😊
The thrift finds are much better. The only thing I would have done differently, is to have left the wood it's natural color on the candle sticks. It would tie better to the table top. You are very inspiring. Thank you for continuing your TH-cam channel.
Love this video… thrift store totally dominated with matte black painted candle sticks - you were right the shiny finish was not quite right but I can visualize 🙂 Wish you lived in Maine. I think we would be BFF’s. Keep smiling and doing your thing.
I love your dupe waaay better than pottery barn! I agree about the candleholders needing a black matte instead of the shiny paint. I think it's really relatable to us fellow crafters that you show your "mistakes" becuz we all have to do upgrades & changes. What great deals at the thrift store!! Sending blessings & prayers over your family too 💗🙏🕊
Ohhhh Leslie love this I kept getting up to show my husband . Like he really cares lol men ! Amazing on the thrift prices . We just refreshed our kitchen amazing what paint can do . We redid our counters with Gianni paint black, beige , rust and it had sparkle dust in it matches perfectly with my cherry wood kitchen and even changing a bathroom doorknob from gold to silver to match silver knobs on cabinets makes a huge difference . I def missed my calling to become an interior designer lol Love you Leslie psttttt hi Jason 🌻🌻🌻
I would have left the thrift store candlesticks the way they were. It would have gone well with sofa also being it was brass and brown tone wood. Both set ups were very nice.
Yes on the chunky beads, yes on flat black, great video kid! Here’s a thought -now that the challenge is history, before you repaint the candle sticks, remove the paint from the wooden accents, and sand them down to match the beads….🤪 yup I love wood!
Another fabulous video. I love Junes Journey. I started playing after recovery from Encephalitis to help my memory. I am so thankful. I truly believe I made a good recovery due to taxing my memory for the hidden objects. I’m on level 119. How are you doing? 😍
