It was similar for me the first time I used it against a boss, except I also got JPx5. Twice. Didn't know at the time that they didn't stack, so you can imagine how desperate I was to win anyway (which I did, thankfully... barely). :P
"You hear the whisper of death in the air." "You hear the whisper of death in the air." "You hear the whisper of death in the air." "You hear the whisper of death in the air."
Just going along, using Bewildering Grace. "Fully recovered!" My eyes get blessed with the sight of seeing green, blue and yellow as well as numbers everywhere and everyone being at full HP, SP, and BP.
I beat this game and did most of my grinding in the forest of purgation. Your gonna need patience and saving grace for everyone by the last few bosses. Its pretty much required.
having run the math on this, bewildering grace is worth running in every battle only if you're willing to wait a turn to allow for a full boost, as anything less than that removes the x100 exp bonus from the pool. mathematically, casting a fully boosted dance is worth the effort, even if it causes the battles to last 30 seconds longer. likewise, anything less than a three boost just isn't worth wasting the turns on - or even the time to cast the skill on - as it removes the x5 exp boost from the pool, and a 4-8% chance of doubling the experience just isn't worth the time it takes to finish the casting animation
God the dance is both a curse and blessing. I've been screwed over as much as I was blessed. I only encountered EXP x100 ONCE, and I was in tears once the battle ended.
The first rule of grinding: increase the enemy encounter rate as much as possible. And then double it if you can . 2nd rule : kill every enemy as quick as you can .
Absolutely love this method! The most I got was 80k :'D that was a few months ago and today I started playing again and got 15k. A helpful tip: you can ONLY get EXP100 and the other one with max boosting. Otherwise it's impossible. I read that online so keep that in mind!
Might be good to add equipment/accessories that negate silence for the intermediate method if you're using bewildering grace because the silencing your whole team ability is extremely common
This game hasn't been out more than 5 days as of upload and you're already level 100 .-. And already have over 100 hours into the game. I'm just at 30 hours in and I played for 5 or more hours a day! I mean, this game fucked up my sleep schedule but you apparently have none
Frank Chen happened to me on a boss fight, on another boss fight she summoned a monster that one hit killed the 2 bosses (Tressa's 1st boss) after dealing 7k+ to each of them
In the early game I lucked out and got x100 xp followed x100 jp not to many fights later, turning me into a Bewildering Grace addict. Thank you for showing me the error in my understanding of the game. Luckily I just started unlocking the advanced classes as well as finding the items that increase xp and jp. Nevertheless, if it wasn’t for your relentless efforts I would, misguided by Primrose’s bewitching allure, have wasted hours in pursue of the elusive multipliers.
So what does bewildering grace even do? Random stuff + exp or just random stuff? And is it a normal dancer skill or do i have to do something to unlock it?
I would suggest another method - have a merchant feed a dancer BP in round 1 so they can use a fully charged BG round 2. Use it, then end the fight after. This gives you more chances for multipliers and BG-spawned Caits. Be sure that you have Articulate Stone equipped on your 1-shot character. Yes, you waste some time, but having a chance at a x100 EXP proc is way better than simply erasing that as a possibility. You also get more chances to proc the lower x2 and x5 multipliers. This is the most value, so just do it this way. It just costs you round 1 of defending/BP Boosting. If you get your speed correct you could even get it all done in Round 1. Make sure the turn order goes ->> Merchant -> Dancer -> 1-shot character and you can actually get a full BG off on turn 1. Optimize your speed and do it correctly and it will pay off. TL;DR abuse Donate BP so you can get a full BG off quicker.
Ryokishine I actually did this when I started this sort of grinding and I kept at it for a long while. This is my second day grinding and when I started my active party was about 26 and now they’re almost 50 lol
@@themoreyouknow217 it's all about how lucky you get... In one fight my dudes went from 20 to 44. They're what let you actually make teams.
Ryokishine Right, my party currently in their 50s because I did that exact same strat in a level 40 cave (I forgot where...probably in the sunlands lol) are sitting at around 20,000 JP because I get extremely lucky when it comes to JP in most cases. I’m saving it all up for when I get the four secret jobs (probably after I complete everyones chapter three just for a bit more exp) so I can get all of the skills without having to grind again, and by that time I might be in my 60s since after every round of chapters I tend to want to be twenty levels above what’s needed lmao

right after watching this video i went to carrion caves. first battle i found a cait and was lucky enough to get a x5 exp boost from bg. but it doesn't stop there, because i was able to find another cait right after the first one, and i also got another x5 exp boost. i got alfyn from level 17 to 31 in those two matches.
Personally using a team with 2 Dancers, 2 Merchants and a Cleric for the 8-16 casts of BG per turn, though I go that route only if I encounter a Cait, otherwise I one-shot them.
I recommend areas with a danger level 5-10 levels below your most powerful character's level. My characters are around level 50-55 so I usually farm in the area just outside of Noblecourt (Danger level 45). Lots of space to run around and the enemies give decent XP. Just started playing a week ago. Got lvl 21 just by running around and collecting characters. Saw a video on getting knowledge staff early and was sneaky enough to pull it off with only one death. Next video gave the suggestion; go to north east, a sea town. When you exit left from city you'll always get 2 segaul enemies. First couple of wins were tough, but they all shot to 30 super fast. Granted you've gotta run through an escalating threat up to 45 area, it was well worth the 3 deaths sustained. Save at every point along the journey! You will most likely get caught unable to escape a fight or 2. Ohh, you need Cyrus and knowledge staff to pull it off. Also merchant girl to give BP to Cyrus. Warrior multiple hit Lance abilities, Hunter multi shot abilities. Weaknesses: Lances, Bows, and I believe 🔥.
Murzz why? They never expected many people to bother going for level 100 because there is no reason. True final boss can be beaten at level 60-70 and there’s no postgame. If you wanna grind for 8 hours a day just so you can get the “completionist” feeling of hitting max level, go ahead, but it certainly wasn’t a design flaw on their part for not including higher level grindspots
Unless of course the game was structured for challenge, and the devs were purposefully attempting to discourage grinding past a certain point so that players could actually get good at the combat? God forbid a dev actually understand game design and power balance.
I challenge your massive amount of testing with my three completed saves, one of which being 100% completed, along with doing a challenge run currently
CGBK it’s not actually a whole lot, but it is essentially getting a party of four and leaving the other four behind, creating a big problem in the early game especially, because all the levels you would get from the other four chapter ones are gone, along with any skills that you would get, not having Therion is feeling like hell because money is hard to get a lot of
So by my estimate, if the stars somehow align and you get the kill on a cait *AND* you get the x100 multiplier, that should be 100,000 xp.... (judging by the video, turning one of the mobs in a fight into a cait doesn't count, because it "only" awarded 34k XP at the end).
Hey there, I used this guide on my first playthrough and it was extremely helpful!! I'll be starting a new one soon but I got 1 question for you: For each level of farming (Basic, Intermediate, Advanced) do you have a range of character levels where each method is best?
DO you think that there's a "seed" like there is when the speed runners go through FF2/4 or FF3/6 ? It seem that there are times when I get a lot of 2/5x or even in the case of the other night I got 2 100xJPs with a few battles.
Sorry can this skill are same effect with ophilia with second job dancer? Or only primerose can have change that random effect like summon cait from beweilding skill?
So hold on... The Extra Exp skills affect the entire party?? Not just the person equipping it? That is pretty odd for a game like this, usually it only affects the character it's equipped on. Is this the case for the Extra Exp accessory too?? If so that's pretty nuts & completely unexpected!
What would you recommend when it comes to leveling your party? Focus on first choice + other 3 first then swap them for the remaining four or just swap out one of the characters for the one I'm doing the chapter for?
Lmao and I was thinking method 2 would be at least semi reliable since I got the x100 multiplier within 10 minutes. Guess I was just lucky af but nevertheless it was very satisfying to see Primrose level up by 50 levels at once.
Dear God, this game has worse grinding than an MMO. It's so bizarre because I often felt _overleveled_ playing the actual story. It's like there's no point in making the level cap 99, you'd need the patience of a saint. I finished all my chapter 4s at around 120 hours, and I'm now at 150. I'VE SPENT 30 HOURS GETTING JUST HALF OF MY PARTY INTO THE 90S. I wanna have a word with the jackass who decided that Bewildering Grace's experience multiplier only affects _the base experience value and not the total after applying Support Skill and accessory bonuses._ I hate how every level requires exponentially more experience past a certain point. And the best grinding spot, which is apparently Forest of Purgation? The most experience you can get outside of a Chubby Cait encounter is 2,310. _You start needing over 200,000 each level around 90._ I'm honestly about ready to just fight the final boss as I am and be done with this game.
I have 3 alluring ribbons but I can't seem to find the 4th one, can anyone help me with their locations? Also to answer some question, Ice dragon maw enemies fall very easy to wind and fire magic and give really good exp--around 1500 per battle. Also all cait types spawn together here frequently. The badges mentioned in the video are unlocked after beating olberic and Ophelia's stories. Find the exp badge in wellspring by speaking to guard captain, go to goldshore, inquire the archbishop there and return. For the JP badge go to saintsbridge and speak to Nate and his friends for the quest, find the npc around the bridge named bully and buy the flower he has and return to Nate.
True and certainly the best way to go. Just out of curiosity though and for the purpose of experiment, have you ever managed to cast the 100x xp or 100x jp more than once in different battles or even the same one? Only been 35hours in and only managed to get it once for each in different battles. Thanks for the hard work and sharing it with us as always, really appreciate it.
I have gotten x100 EXP about 6 times and x100 JP about 5 times. Do remember that i have a total of 240 hours between all of my accounts though. About 120 on my main account for the demo. Almost 80 on the main game, and then my second account i had about 20-40 hours.
The best area to farm would be forest of no return, correct? I think it is the highest level area so i guess this is the best area, but i am not sure...
Tyler Edlin easy to do with sorcery subclass. Element augment necklace for +100 ele atk and stack ele atk armor (mages robes element hat etc) and give them magic nuts. You can steal a wizards staff or find one in the dungeon that you get sorc subclas
My experience represents a small sample size so I would love to see others chime in if they share a similar experience: in my time with the game, I ran into Cait about once every 3 hours or so. However, while I was running around in Whistling Caverns (the cave by Primrose's starting area), I ran into Cait 3 times in 40 minutes. Again, I realize this is a small sample size and it could easily just be dumb luck, but the difference was certainly stark. However, if others are experiencing something similar, this is a great to get from ~15 to ~30 incredibly fast.
I played this game for 108 hours. I never found a x100 (and i had several lvl grinding sessions with BG). I think they removed x100. I mean i can't be that unfortunate (you barely survived, the ground explodes)
If your goal is just XP and not JP, bewildering grace is NOT worth it. I used it for an hour and got x2 XP like at most 1/10th of the time and about half of the time, it would put some messed up effect on my party. The third time it silenced my 1 shot character, I chucked it right out the window.
I have horrible luck with that dance, I've only ever gotten JPx5 once, any other time I use it it mostly debuffs me or does nothing. If only caits didn't run away so much or this would make it more ridiculous
Got 100x JP boost at level 18 here. Instantly had all my main classes and 1 entire subclass leveled to full. 9k JP from one fight, was pretty disgusting.
sombody told me to spam bewildering grace during battle it would be more efficient they said, i guesse it is not then again i only have one dancer being tressa (not using primrose that much) but in the end just one shottign them gives you more exp thanks for clearign that out, btw what is a good area for lv 25-30 ?
EXGN it's 2 quests, for the captain badge, it's in bonne source (i'm french, i dunno the english name), the quest of the captain bale. For the second quest it's in saintbridge, and it's the quest of emile. For have access to the quest you have to have finished the storybof olberic and ophilia.
anyone found a different method yet ?? or a dungeon where i can level up from 60 to at least 70 or so. cause ive been playing for hours now and i have been trying to cast that 5x exp... but its sooo rare it takes soo long just to get it...
cant get more than X2 exp.....do I have to be a certain level or do I need to raise my "luck" to get higher chance of more than 2 times? Because I mostly get Debuffs on my entire party, or I mute the entire party or I get 2x exp which isn't good enough for any fight even getting 1 Cait barely gave me much at all....and my chances of running into them is like -100% takes hours[real time] to run into just 1 Cait.
Nic vidio i like your tactics. I use abute the sane set up but slower. I even gotten lucky and got ×100 4 times in my game so far. Its a bliss to see it happen.
Well I tried spamming BG for HOURS! Probably at least 1000 times! I got jp×100 3 times, never got exp×100. I gave up hope of leveling up with the x100 multiplier
There is a Final Boss to fight if you haven't already. Also the higher the stronger, and i personally like to see big numbers when i attack. Not much as of right now for leveling up to max though. Just the completionist inside of me.
I think I found a decent method. Apparently there is a rare enemy you can find and if you kill it, it gives a HUGE amount of XP and I know this because I found and killed one and it gave an assload of XP...like 1,020 ish XP.

I'll be starting a new one soon but I got 1 question for you: For each level of farming (Basic, Intermediate, Advanced) do you have a range of character levels where each method is best?
the main idea “do not gamble!”
DO you think that there's a "seed" like there is when the speed runners go through FF2/4 or FF3/6 ? It seem that there are times when I get a lot of 2/5x or even in the case of the other night I got 2 100xJPs with a few battles.
So in rare case if you would get 100x exp and 5x exp + defense down for example . Does the higher exp count or the 5x cause it overwrites ?
yep, agree with bewildering grace spam method. personally would bring Alfyn for the resistance, the rest just exactly as your vid. nice!
You're kind legend in farming jrpg, thx!
Sorry can this skill are same effect with ophilia with second job dancer? Or only primerose can have change that random effect like summon cait from beweilding skill?
But some tables of probability said that a Exp x100 just drops at lvl3 of boost
Can't get enough with how cute Hunter Tressa is!
I have 3 mages in my party (just don't put sorcerer on Cyrus) this way every fight last a few seconds
Bewildering Grace is garbage. I got the 2X twice out of a 100 tries. I end up dropping my items or losing all SP more often than anything.
Idk if you know this but 100x exp only will appear at 4x boost
I really didn't know. THANK YOU!!
Lmao and I was thinking method 2 would be at least semi reliable since I got the x100 multiplier within 10 minutes. Guess I was just lucky af but nevertheless it was very satisfying to see Primrose level up by 50 levels at once.
You're soo lucky, I tried for hours and never got it
Dear God, this game has worse grinding than an MMO.
Hi. The skills to increase XP and JP must be select on each character, or only one is enough?
Where did you get badge of Friendship? (if this from side-quest can you tell how to complete it?)
Where do you get the captains badge?
OhRichard Sweet, thanks for confirming 👍
Cheers mate, this will help me with the late game grind.
The best area to farm would be forest of no return, correct?
I think it is the highest level area so i guess this is the best area, but i am not sure...
How does Method 3 compare with just running around with a 1shot char and ignoring bewildering grace completely?
How do you set up a 1 shot kill character ? What are the areas you do this farming in? Where are the caits
Tyler Edlin easy to do with sorcery subclass. Element augment necklace for +100 ele atk and stack ele atk armor (mages robes element hat etc) and give them magic nuts. You can steal a wizards staff or find one in the dungeon that you get sorc subclas
thats the only subclass i have yet to find =(
Boyo Beatdown google where to find the shrine of the mage
My experience represents a small sample size so I would love to see others chime in if they share a similar experience: in my time with the game, I ran into Cait about once every 3 hours or so. However, while I was running around in Whistling Caverns (the cave by Primrose's starting area), I ran into Cait 3 times in 40 minutes. Again, I realize this is a small sample size and it could easily just be dumb luck, but the difference was certainly stark.
However, if others are experiencing something similar, this is a great to get from ~15 to ~30 incredibly fast.
You just got lucky.
Bewildering Grace mostly has negative effects for me.
Its my second playthrough and i only got a 5x multiplier a handful of Times
I played this game for 108 hours. I never found a x100 (and i had several lvl grinding sessions with BG). I think they removed x100. I mean i can't be that unfortunate (you barely survived, the ground explodes)
2 Chubby Cait
×100 EXP
400K+ EXP
I hardly regret not filming it
If your goal is just XP and not JP, bewildering grace is NOT worth it. I used it for an hour and got x2 XP like at most 1/10th of the time and about half of the time, it would put some messed up effect on my party. The third time it silenced my 1 shot character, I chucked it right out the window.
Is it me or its just your characters wear a different outfits on battle
I have horrible luck with that dance, I've only ever gotten JPx5 once, any other time I use it it mostly debuffs me or does nothing. If only caits didn't run away so much or this would make it more ridiculous
Got 100x JP boost at level 18 here. Instantly had all my main classes and 1 entire subclass leveled to full. 9k JP from one fight, was pretty disgusting.
sombody told me to spam bewildering grace during battle it would be more efficient they said, i guesse it is not then again i only have one dancer being tressa (not using primrose that much) but in the end just one shottign them gives you more exp thanks for clearign that out, btw what is a good area for lv 25-30 ?
this make OT2 level grinding walk in the park
Where can you find the badges?
EXGN it's 2 quests, for the captain badge, it's in bonne source (i'm french, i dunno the english name), the quest of the captain bale. For the second quest it's in saintbridge, and it's the quest of emile. For have access to the quest you have to have finished the storybof olberic and ophilia.
loris loisel already got them but thanks
Try doing this solo with ophelia. Currently at level 80 I think.
anyone found a different method yet ?? or a dungeon where i can level up from 60 to at least 70 or so. cause ive been playing for hours now and i have been trying to cast that 5x exp... but its sooo rare it takes soo long just to get it...
Sincerely I levelled faster simply fighting with exp and jp bonus than using bewildering grace.
did the audio remove all speech
I know I'm late to the party but do you have your Sorcerer Cyrus build posted somewhere?
cant get more than X2 exp.....do I have to be a certain level or do I need to raise my "luck" to get higher chance of more than 2 times? Because I mostly get Debuffs on my entire party, or I mute the entire party or I get 2x exp which isn't good enough for any fight even getting 1 Cait barely gave me much at all....and my chances of running into them is like -100% takes hours[real time] to run into just 1 Cait.
finally found out I have to "boost" in order to get the other effects. Had to find out on my own....
How did you get the alluring ribbon?
Nic vidio i like your tactics. I use abute the sane set up but slower. I even gotten lucky and got ×100 4 times in my game so far. Its a bliss to see it happen.
What outfit is primrose wearing. She looks like she is wearing a yellow ball room dress
starseer subclass
If I'm not going for efficiency, Will Cleric's divine give you ×8 BG? With dancer at full boost.
Monius13 yes it will
Oooo sounds risky
Well I tried spamming BG for HOURS! Probably at least 1000 times! I got jp×100 3 times, never got exp×100. I gave up hope of leveling up with the x100 multiplier
Beyond helpful. Thank you for taking your time to help others👍
I finished every chapter being 60-70ish. Is there any reason I should go on and grind exp? Or is it just for completionist?
There is a Final Boss to fight if you haven't already. Also the higher the stronger, and i personally like to see big numbers when i attack. Not much as of right now for leveling up to max though. Just the completionist inside of me.
Chubby caits usually take the first turn for me. Should i build Cyrus on max speed?
How to get the sorceress skill in scholar?
if only there are item to halt level up. apothecary's last atand will be the best 1shot skill
I think I found a decent method. Apparently there is a rare enemy you can find and if you kill it, it gives a HUGE amount of XP and I know this because I found and killed one and it gave an assload of XP...like 1,020 ish XP.
Check my last video if you haven't already. I've killed over 50 of them and have captured about 11.
OhRichard LMAO!!! Nice.
Exp 100x only comes from a fully charged bewildering grace right?
Can someone tell me if I have to grind a lot in this game please
