I have an older bt130 and was frustrated that it just wouldn’t cut in all but the softest ground, even when sitting on it. A new blade on the bit didn’t help but I welded two pieces of flat stock to the bit and it bores like a champ. Thanks for giving me the idea. P.s we are a vineyard in Rabun County Ga (the highest in GA) ,you’re neck of the woods it looks like. Thanks again!
I rented one of these recently and it ran away with me, that is, it went spinning without my hand on the deadman switch. Not good. Also, the safety stop bar can work itself loose because the plastic socket into which the end of the bar fits is not deep enough to ensure a good connection. Check it every time the bar is used.

@@torstenernst glad the welded barstock trick helped :)
Sounds like a fun place to work
It is :)
Interesting video! How many holes can you make per day to plant the tea trees?
Each driller can do 100 holes/hour
What are you installing, with the 3.5” auger
We plant tea (Camellia sinensis) - tens of thousands of them :)
How does it handle post holes in clay rocky ground?
We have clay rocky ground here. It does great, but if I needed a 6” hole I would start with a 4” pilot then overdrill with a 6”
How different is it with a 12" dia bit?
Very difficult if trying to drill in clay (like ours). In fact, when we need to do a 6" dia, we drill with the 4" first here.

What do you drill holes for
Holes are for tea plants
For some reason; I can't ordered it online!
I think Stihl only sells thru their licensed distributors
