    To everyone that may see this video and think of NAAGA as being “divisive” please know the point isn’t to exclude or villainize non Black gun owners but the point is to make sure Black gun owners a place they can train or learn from other gun owners that look like them. It helps ease newer Black gun owners gun into the responsibility of gun ownership and eventually they move into the greater gun community

      Predictably, some people projected their own (mis)understanding and ran with it. Doing so demonstrates exactly why people who share the black experience specifically would want to have a space to convene with people who know what that’s like and don’t jump to conclusions about black people’s intentions.

      I'm white I'm no longer active with NAAGA due to my own situation ( age, location, finances etc.) But from the beginning the responses were not in any way segregated or with bias. They have archived a good deal of information regarding gun rights allowed and denied along with civil rights in general.
      These folks have taught me stuff I didn't know and I have many people in my past that had access to some of the same info that had not seen fit to pass it on.

    • @Blo0dmo0r
      @Blo0dmo0r ปีที่แล้ว

      You can claim NAAGA's intentions as such all you want to. The dynamic that it presents is still perpetuating a weird dynamic based on race. It would make more sense to just create an organization for everyone and just be whatever you are....American. Virtually no one that is African American is from Africa. It's like having a black only college. Victimization doesn't help anyone. You can say, "Oh we're not excluding anyone" or "regardless of your race etc." The fact is the name of the organization has relevance and is misleading anyway. If no one is being excluded then why is a race being highlighted in the organizations' name anyway lol. It would be like if I were to create an organization called, National "insert race here" Association, then say, we're not excluding anyone tho...lol then why specify one particular race? Identifying with your race from the beginning is where the issue lies. The organization identifies itself to one race, when unifying people together and creating community typically involves having common values and morals, not skin color alone.

    • @Blo0dmo0r
      @Blo0dmo0r ปีที่แล้ว

      They literally use the Black Panther Party, an extremist / Marxist organization from the 60's to this organizations' relevance. They would utilize guerilla warfare tactics and violence to try and overthrow the US government. I'm not defending the US government, just stating facts. I'm pretty sure MLK wouldn't be in agreement with that. Morgan Freeman said it best, "Stop talking about it". (race). Black history is American History. Stop making shit about race basically.

You need to invite Rev Senator Warnock to the range one day and educate him. He votes against the 2A every chance he gets.

    While I believe in gun rights for all and like that more black folks are getting into the gun community but ask yourself this , how would you react to a group that pandered to only white people ? Where white people said they were more comfortable being around people that looked like them , how would black folks respond and what would they think ? I see division is not helping push against the anti gun movement .

    • @locnetic
      @locnetic ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It seems you've forgotten about the NRA.
      Through their action (and inaction) regarding the Black community, they've made it more than clear they're an organization that panders to white people.
      And in response, we don't care. We do what’s been done since our ancestors landed here; We create and support our own groups.

      @@prenticeperry What do you mean by plants and gatekeepers ? And do you resent white people being there ?

    • @dimitri246
      @dimitri246 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I think we need more information about your hypothetical situation. In your hypothetical situation, were white people enslaved for hundreds of years and then denied their rights after that for another hundred or so? In your hypothetical situation are white people underrepresented among gun owners? In your hypothetical, is there a resurgence of anti-white groups close to and aspoused by people in power? In your hypothetical situation, were white people denied their right to vote, own property, or bear arms for most of the country's history?

    • @dimitri246
      @dimitri246 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also, in your hypothetical situation were there domestic terrorist groups like the KKK that still exist today and were created to deny white people their rights through violence? Come on. It's not even close to the same if all you're talking about is switching out races for comparison.

      Black people having our own groups and institutions is division?
      Why should we try forcing our way into spaces where we’re uncomfortable?🤔

      So, should Black people force themselves in spaces filled with people who don't welcome us unless we believe in their often anti-Black sentiments?
      I'll pass on that, your unseasoned food, and your requirement for us to assimilate to make you feel comfortable.

    • @leodeloatch9856
      @leodeloatch9856 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's funny how when the white super majority no longer has a complete monopoly on an experience or space, they call it division. When you have no desire to see black and brown anywhere near your carved out spaces. It is a very disingenuous position to maintain. If you would like to decrease division, vote for NRA leadership that is more inclusive of the minority plight, equally fights for the rights of all Americans, or maintain memberships to both organizations as a vote saying I understand, and support you. Typically, when diversity and inclusivity are mentioned, the right demonize it with their coded language (woke!). We aren't asking to be near or around you and have carved out our own niche, and we don't need your permission to do so. If your enemy is armed, so must you be.
