    Twisted dialogue here AJ. Actually, it was gun control advocates ( not the NRA) that sought to keep firearms & ammo out of black people's hands. A key factor in why many blue state major cities are hell holes. Chicago & NYC have some of the toughest gun laws in the nation (hasn't worked too good for them.) It was late 19th century/early 20th century civil rights advocate & writer Ida B. Wells who stated a Winchester rifle should be standard in every black home if the law won't protect them or their interests.

    • @sotiriosnovatsis4529
      @sotiriosnovatsis4529 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Your problem isn’t that tough gun laws don’t work. It’s that there are too many guns in those areas. It amazes me that so many Americans think the answer to their gun violence is to put even more guns in the streets. You already have more guns than anywhere else in the world. If the answer was “more guns”, why does the US still have such violence?

    • @SobaOfPulaski
      @SobaOfPulaski ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sotiriosnovatsis4529 The problem is that they punish people who use a firearm in self-defense so much people are too scared to actually defend themselves in fear of going to prison. The DA in a neighboring county to mine that has a city with strict gun control literally has put people in prison for shooting a home invader because the home invader claimed that he tried to leave. There was evidence that indicated otherwise but the DA didn’t think it mattered to the case and went ahead and charged the home owner with assault with a deadly weapon.
      The other problem is we are a melting pot of cultures and don’t have a single national identity anymore. Everyone used to have to be an American first, now its you are African or Arabic or Mexican or Asian or whatever before you are an American. Not saying that racial diversity is bad, but cultural diversity is where you begin to have a lot of problems with people becoming violent or aggressive towards each other.
      The main hole in your argument is that yes, we have a lot of guns, but almost every shooting has occurred in a gun free zone, the only non-gun free zones where shootings have occurred, the shooter almost always got smoked by an armed civilian or cop and minimal to no casualties other than the shooter were suffered, but those are never reported because it shows why gun control doesn’t work and why it makes things more dangerous. No shooter wants to attack a place where there is a heavy presence of firearms. They only want targets where people can’t fight back. Its why my county with very loose gun laws has almost no gun crime but a place like Chicago or NYC or LA with almost everything in the book except an outright ban has so much gun crime.

    What a sad reality it is that the first thing Americans think of for their safety is to own a gun. Think about what that means for American culture as a whole and American racism in particular.

    Left out the most important part and why the *2nd Amendment* was written: *You cannot trust the government.*
    The government can't protect you 24/7, and that's not even it's job (on a personal level), _criminals_ don't obey laws, so all you're disarming is the _law-abiding citizens_.
    _"A government that cannot trust it's citizens with weapons cannot _*_itself_*_ be trusted."_ - Niccolo Machiavelli
    Black people arming is fine, the victimhood mentality that still persists *isn't*
    Black people need to let that nonsense go, the data is clear, the boogeyman of racisms past isn't the reason you're failing or "constantly worried", it's other factors by an exponential margin. Do racists and racism exist? Of course for various reasons, is it the reason black people are suffering, the numbers and culture say otherwise.

    I have 2 guns myself looking for my third, I'm always looking for the next gun. They are investments that never lose value. I would love to help train Black citizens to shoot and practice safety. I would love to share my gun research and knowledge. I believe, every citizen of the United States, and I mean every, same, adult and young adult that is responsible enough should learn about guns, gun safety, gun rights, and should own a gun or be future owners of a gun. How about a Black owned Manufacturer of quality affordable guns? I'd buy it. You cant put a fashion statement on it and Mark it up like Kobe, or Jordans, and say you're in it for everyone though. Savage Arms, Rock Island Arms, Hi Point Arms, and Phoenix Arms, are examples of quality but affordable gun makers here in America. Also Heritage makes nice western style revolvers that anyone could own. Good for learning Trick shooting like you'ld see at a Carnival. I have massive knowledge but I'm poor so I'm limited in what I can own. Hunting clubs would be good too. Not necessarily to kill animals unless you are eating them, but just to teach the how to, and survival skills necessary to survive in a post apocalypse world where The Grid is destroyed, Supermarkets are empty, and you need to know what you're ancestors 150 years ago had to know to survive. Farming, Animal husbandry. I have a small farm and would love to teach minorities how to do all these things.

      Unfortunately, many have bought into lie that somehow guns are evil & less guns or access to them means less crime & violence. It doesn't. Also, every law abiding, responsible citizen (not just a chosen few) has the right to defend themselves, homes, families, & yes, if necessary even the nation against evil doers foreign or homegrown. Until recent years outfits like NRA didn't actively seek out visible minorities as members because they'd assumed (rightly or wrongly) that most were on the anti-gun wagon.

      If you want to help teach them the law. 99% of the time that's what gets them in trouble, not lack of training, not knowing rights. It's knowing the law and following those laws.
      When you do that you eliminate most interactions and or possibility of confrontation or incidents.
      My black friends follow the law. When they get pulled over they answer questions and cooperate, just like the rest of us do. I keep my hands on the steering wheel in plain sight. If you have a weapon you immediately notify the officer and follow commands. It's very simple

    Fernando Castillo Did NOT Follow Police Instructions after he informed them that he had a Gun! He had So Many times that he had Dealt With the Police that "He Knew the Routine" and after telling the police about the gun he reached for his Id in his back Pocket. That is where most "Right Handed" people would normally have a Holster. The Police Officer Instructed him to Stop What He was Doing Several Times. His Girlfriend was yelling at him to Stop Reaching but he kept on "Reaching for Something" where he could have a gun. The officer only Protected Himself & his Partner.

      @@sfcrmsa Personally I haven't seen it. My cousin is self employed as an electrician and right now he's being slammed with an increase in his taxes (he's a widower so legally he's single on paper), he damn near was taken for tuition for both of his kids, and his son's scholarship was on the line due to Rona. Me myself, as a government worker (and part timer in my cousin's business) I've also seen my federal tax rate increase -- basically a single's tax -- my health insurance through the VA has changed, and when I was trying to apply for a small business loan, I was denied and deemed a high risk for trying to open a domestic and auto garage geared to service Ride Share drivers -- which I had a full prospectus outlined for, and 6 mechanics at the ready. So when Trump claims that he's done more for Black American's with small businesses, which businesses is he talking about? And where?
      And on the same subject of guns and Black American's, the same store that I bought my 2 pieces from have been denied a loan to buy a bigger building since they are currently in the black. And they're in a Democratically controlled district here in L.A. Meanwhile the gun shop way across town that is owned by whites, is doing fairly fine as well and has been in their location for 35 years. I find it odd that the Republican stronghold of Orange County doesn't have any black owned gun shops, but touts the "wide range of diverse small business ownership amongst the people." Again I ask.....which ones??

      @@ThrdSonofSparda Firstly, much respect to you as veteran, thank you for your service. Thank you for responding to my comment and I am at a total loss to respond to what you are saying. Not in defense, but I will say the system is not perfect. That is not a cop out directed to you or your family trying to get loans, make your business happen and try to get ahead. I would only ask if some of the problems you are having a local problem and not a national problem? Are there ordinances other blockages in the system locally that are causing you problems? I see you mention a store owned by someone (white people) but have been their for 35 yrs, does that length of time make a difference? Is that business granfathered in from newer regulations an ordinaces that would affect them form getting loans or tax breaks? To be very honest, I have never been in a gun store owned as a Black Business anywhere in this country and would like to visit one in no matter what state. I think Trump definitely hosed us on taxes, I cannot argue there. From my prospective I think he has done better overall, but does not help your position.
