You saved me a ton of time. Thank you, worked perfect.
Thanks for the vid, just picked one of these up from a job site. Look forward to hanging it in my shed.
Salute fellow PA dude just got a vintage light today thanks
Cool
Excellent cleaning tip.
Good mounting location for traffic light High no obstruction.
now i just need to find a traffic light. Thanks for Sharing.
Try traffic light wizard.com
Great job on the traffic light! Nice hack with the tire shine.
Cool traffic light revival. :) Great video
Awesome thanks!
I wanna shop like that 👍
Thank you for the video. Can you send me the link for the control board on Amazon.
Video was very helpful.
Preety cool. Been looking for one for my garage for quite awhile. The ones i have come across are just too expensive. Will find one eventually. Pam!!! At least thats what we used on rear quarters to easily wash off rubber from drag strip. Not sure if it'll shine inner wheel wells though.
that could work pretty good too, yeah they come around from time to time I paid 40 bucks figured that was fair
That’s a nice durasig you got there. A lot of those signals aren’t exactly in good condition as there’s sometimes no paint or even holes in the housing. Good find.
Is there a way to make it exactly like a traffic light? Green, Yellow, Red, Green (skip yellow), Yellow, Green...as the pattern?
Is there a way to add a selector switch to be able to select a certain color to be on at a certain time and only that color at that time?
Awesome awesome
Awsome video I got one I wanna work on it's a little bigger but I'm sure same concept 🙄
Yup they are pretty simple
I have a 90’s 4 light traffic light
Thats sick
Interesting, I was wondering how getting a traffic light working at home. Looks like you got your rear window replaced.
I have one that can be powered through the wall, you don’t have to hard wire it if you don’t want to
Big coincidence down the road from you a light seems to be missing lol jk
6.0 Bros lol
Does the 29$ just as good from amazon to change the light programming..
would the rebel bumper fit my bighorn?? i have the color match bumpers and i been getting a lot of rockchips
Although I have never tried a swap I can’t see why the rebel bumper wouldn’t fit a bighorn
Where do I find the eight inch amber traffic like signal replacement bulb
Hello, thanks for the video! My light is older, and had regular bulbs in it. (I’m planning on using led lights of some sort on my light, just not sure what yet)
What type of wire did you use to run both to and from the terminal block? Or what would you recommend using to wire the light?
I used the wiring the light came with with the exception of the extension cord I used to power it, I’m not sure the exact gauge but when in doubt bigger is better led lights usually are converted to 12v and don’t require a heavy gauge
@@HammerdownMotorsportsUSA thanks for your quick response, appreciate it. I’ll go with 22 gauge to play it safe. Thanks!
@@kevinbottini8518 I’d probably go 18 gauge minimum I think that’s what I added for the smaller bits lower the number bigger the gauge
Really awesome video. Recently purchased a traffic light and have wired it correctly to a board but it seems to be overwhelming my garage GFI. It trips immediately upon plugging it in and I have to manual reset my circuit breaker. Do you have any tips on how to get around this?
This is a year old so I'm sure you've solved this by now but did you check your ground connection?
@@crawlzzz yes! A few minutes after the initial post lol. I had a wire not quite right then the fuse on the circuit board blew once I replaced that I was off and running. Thank you for responding!
@@TheCgraham18 well I'm glad you got it working!
What controller did you purchase?
Should be in the description
Would this work with an older incandescent traffic light?
Michael Kantz I would think it would
Hammerdown Motorsports thanks for the quick response! And I appreciate the video. Wish me luck
Michael Kantz absolutely
@@michaelkantz3118 It depends on what maximum power the outputs on your sequencer board can handle. If not using a sequencer board then the wiring gauge would be the larger factor. Incandescents draw far more power than leds, but most sequencers can handle the extra power required.
How does one go about buying one of those things to begin with...? O_O;; Are they expensive? I wish I had one at home for sure...
What do you do for a living besides youtube?

@@HammerdownMotorsportsUSA damn I need to be a mechanic in pa then 😂
@@hunterklemz0597 It helps when you own your own business plus I used to work in the oil industry
That's a durasig polycarbonate traffic light, they came out in the early 80s
I put metal caps on my 5th gen once....not an easy lesson.
what happened?
Within a month they had rusted on so tight, only a Dremel got them off!
markwh668 wow guess I’ll have see on these
Really!? They’re all plastic?
markwh668 the newer ones are
its a mini USB, not micro, just saying.
I do not know what happened to youtubers - instead of pointing camera on the road they all are filming their faces.
I want one 🚦🚥
