    Learn how to sell any art at any skill level, even if you've never sold art before and are not sure you can give results worth paying for. Meaning you will never feel like an imposter again. www.driesketel...
    Description of video:
    Managing multiple interests can feel overwhelming, but there's a solution used by one of the greatest artists of all time-Michelangelo. In this video, I share his story and reveal the simple strategy he used to balance his many passions. From his early days of stealing corpses to study anatomy to becoming a master architect, sculptor, and painter, Michelangelo combined his diverse interests to create some of the most iconic works of art in history. By mastering the intersection of different skills, he shows us that we don't need to specialize in just one thing to excel.
    If you’re someone who feels torn between multiple passions, this video will help you understand how to combine them into a unique advantage. You’ll learn how to manage your various interests through the concept of "Circle Theory," a strategy that allows you to overlap different skill sets and stand out in competitive fields without ever becoming a full-time specialist. Whether you’re an artist, writer, or entrepreneur, this approach can help you create work that stands the test of time-just like Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel.

    Hahaha I remember when I turned 21, I was sort of depressed that I hadn’t achieved what Michelangelo had at that age. Delusions of grandeur never left entirely !

    Your videos are definitely getting better. I think your problem could be nature-designed 18% of bees not to listen to the waggle dance and go where the pollen is, but go their own way. They are the chosen ones who discover the new sources and save the hive. How do you teach them if they won't listen to your waggle dance?

      Don't sell to the unsellable, just move on and sell to those who want to buy from you.

    This is the best! But the hits keep coming and you may just knock me off my stool of procrastination, laziness and inertia soon enough. Love the vivid imagery of painting with lightning from the sky. The Creative Jealousy Folder is a great idea and the Circle Theory very helpful for artists to embrace our multiple interests for recognition rather than be like the normies with one job only.

    Also they say Michelangelo had 15 to 20 apprentices helping with the Chapel, it wasn't just him doing the painting. So don't be afraid to hire people to do some jobs for you when you get overwhelmed. You don't need to be building canvases, doing undercoats, cleaning up etc. ( if you got the cash )

    • @driesketels
      @driesketels  3 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Yeah he did (likely much less than 15) but he didn't like their work and so it's been said that he fired all of the apprentices helping him and eventually did it alone.

    Haha this was so entertaining and relatable Dries...thank you for seeing into my life of multiple interests and showing how it can be a great thing! I've been contemplating this for a long time and how to weave all the skills together as a classical pianist, artist, entomologist, gardener, iguana guardian (LOL) and someone who is curious about way too many things! I'm glad to know it's a valuable asset and that I'm a micro Michelangelo haha :) Thank you again for your humor, wisdom, and genius :)!!!!

    I am in a specialized field of polysomnography...now I realized Im stuck in this field, since switching career in this system is fatal due to financial reliance on that specialized job..
    Ah well now I know, and now I'm using my circle of interests to build a channel that's reflective of my own self.
    Once again, great insight in this video!

      By encouraging specialization, workers become highly skilled in one area but often lack the broader knowledge needed to challenge or understand the full scope of the system they’re part of. Your work sounds fascinating, If I may, could I ask, In your experience, what are the most subtle yet clinically significant patterns or anomalies in polysomnographic data that are often overlooked?
