Ubisoft could bring back night maps to casual
I liked them but I don't want my game to be 150 gigs
I saw a video that they’re continually updating them and have sufficient lighting. My bet is they’ll fully bring them back eventually

@@aresanok6899 you still have to consider the limitations if the engine and the work that they'd have to put into it to make the night maps a viable option. The only way i see it is that they'd have to make one map have different lighting presets to use as the day and night version, but I doubt it'd be possible. One of the reasons they removed night maps was because they were a different entity, a separate copy of one map with different lighting effects and sometimes map elements specific to a certain version. Essentially when they did a change to a map, even the smallest one, they had to do it once again on the night version and it took much more time than it should've

new siege maps look so soulless in comparison, yeah i get they had to make the lighting so that operators dont blend in for competitive purposes but the original style and lighting was just stunning (also coastline should 100% be night mode)
right because hereford base was filled with energy!! The same goes with old Kafe and Oregon. Definitely stunning maps indeed!!

I miss everything about the old siege. The pre reworked maps including night maps, the lighting, the overall gameplay, Barlett University we all miss and love. Such a shame they removed it completely. 😢
you do know that emerald plains IS bartlett? just reframed from being a school because of the controversy that connotes from it

@@bentuu816 yeah the devs announced that Emerald Plains was originally going to be a Bartlett rework but as it changed more and more they just scrapped the rework and went with their own design, though remnants still exist like the main hall area, the design of Library stairs and the main pillars
Not to mention the whole UI and menus, and the focus on new operators fitting the game instead of what we get nowadays...
old ‘chanka was so fun, but hard to balance. New tachanka’s gun is great but his ability might be one of the worst on the defense and isn’t very fun.

i really like the old hud, its look more clean and easier to look because they put everything in the bottom mid.

@@iggykad the current hud more cleaner yes i agree but now i need to peek bottom right to check my ammo then peek bottom left to check my hp while the old one they put everything in bottom mid so i just need to peek bottom mid to see every information i need
In Para Bellum lighting was absolutely beautiful, I dont get the rant. Night maps and lovely details have disappeared completely and thats a bummer in my opinion. Also because the rounds were very long:

@@PigeonR6 I liked it better when it was more mixed bright/dark areas. But thats personal preference I guess. Most people seem to prefer the more competitive friendly lighting as it is now.

I miss the first meeting notes when you launch the game in first couple of years. It gave me goosebumps
old siege had more sauce to it in terms of visuals but in terms of gameplay, we're in a really good place. just ask anyone if they'd rather go back to having just 2 reinforcements each on defense and no attacker repick.
Its ironic to me how people will say they want old siege because of the run and gun meta, but siege was literally played the same way back then especially with the faster movement

Goddamn this gunplay was so much more fun than the slowed down tactical feel of siege today. I know the arcade vibe doesn’t fit sieges image, but the smoothness of leans and ADS was just so nice.
Old gun play and movement were so much better than what we have now

it was. who the fuck cares about the competitive side of the game when you can have fun and be totally immersed in a realistic shooter. Also, People used to get favela and other shitty maps and just knife fight lol
for me, chimera was the best season, i stopped back around alibi and maestro after i got banned, then i started back up but on pc with a new account, ive been playing for around 8 years and chimera is the one i remember the most, just wish i never got banned
going back to the old siege is really depressing because i have no friends to play with, its mostly chimera that gets me feeling sad, i think its mostly from the silence of outbreak or the memories of playing with my brother or random people i found on siege who treated me nice

I know its probably never gonna happen but i wish ubi would make like a playlist like this where u can pick a season to play maybe not have every season but the most popular ones everything just looks better coastline was my favorite night map it was so good
Ubisoft should made 2 versions of siege 1 for competetive players and 2 for casual players so we could decide what we want to play not pro league because most of the good shit that ubi removed was because of them

I always forget how many people never played year one siege. Up until operation health the game was golden
Lol i stopped playing before operation health ended and only just returned (about a week before operation deep freeze)
Also I didn’t really quit playing because everyone hated operation health etc I just lost interest and after a bit away from the game not knowing new maps and especially reworks made it unplayable since I previously never cared to learn new maps just to be miserable playing it again
Not knowing any of maps by the time I got back was(/is) rough
This is just context because I don’t really like my comment reading as though operation health is what drove me away, since I thought then that people upset about it were angry to be angry

chimera best season although i do miss ash, jager, bandit and smg11 acog. i just recently came back to siege after a 4 year hiatus and its strange with all the map reworks and new ops. hard to relearn but still got aim lmaoooo

For me, it’s between Blood Orchard, Para Bellum, Wind Baston, Burnt Horizon, and Steel Wave.
The biggest thing is, Ubisoft in year 7 and year 8 has ruined balancing.
I said back in Y4S4 that at the rate in which they are nerfing operators, we will have people playing siege like COD search and destroy instead of using utility. We have reached that point. And they’ve gone from nerfing utility to nerfing recoil. Buffing is not in Ubisoft’s vocabulary.

Dude for me I started in chimera but I ended up not having my pc anymore but instead I went to console later on in burnt horizon and that was just perfect for me. Mozzie and the super shorty was just so fun and I felt like I had the best times there

You know what I miss the most, outside of all the quick peaks and acogs? It's Vigils aim resetting when you activate the ability. It was so satisfying

what an emotional movie. i miss many things old siege had, the speed of aiming, a lot of guns once had acog, reloading sounds like msg-11, mpx, k1a so on… the siege at that time was filled with quite a few bugs and glitches though

Operation chimera is when i started playing r6 the thing is i got the disc of siege way before that I got it at the same time as when i bought overwatch at gamestop and the reason I bought r6 is cause it was on sale and i remember seeing only one cool clip of r6 and the destructibility of the walls and thought might as well get it since it was on sale but i held off playing with the game for a while cause i played overwatch a crud ton instead at the time, when ow started dying to me and i got bored of the games that i had at the time i unwrapped the wrapper of r6 and fell in love with the game, my dumb ahh didnt know better and forgot to get the free ash elite during that season 😂😭 and operation parabellum with maestro and alibi was so peak to me the smgs the operators the lighting man i wish i could turn back time to play o.g siege with my pals one more time again back then it felt like the devs were so invested into the game and loved developing it mannn they were releasing banger after banger after banger of each of the seasons each year until operation nokk and warden but yea now a days the passion and love of the devs for the game is not so much compared to back then they improved the game in some ways and ruined it in others I still love siege rn but dang they really need to fix their ximmer and cheating issues its getting worse and worse if they fix that and the hit box reg issues and bring back night maps/a bit of the old lighting I'll be happy
One thing I do really miss about siege is the old ads animation, it doesn't feel like a grandma adsing because of the curve animation. The time to ads from sprinting on old animation is supposedly slightly slower than the nerf after ember rise. Now it is even slower but that ads animation would def make the game feel better ngl
they should've made realistic lighting an option imo

Tbh Year 2 season 1 was the best never played it but I’ve looked at gameplay and smg11, R4-C, MP5, MP7, and 416-C acog was peak, plus night maps, old house, Twitch’s F2 having vertical grip, quick peaking; also Twitch’s old from and being able to use it during prep was awesome. The game was at its prime then tbh

My favorite season is most likely operation chimera since that was the season after I started playing (operation white noise was fun though) i wasnt awful at the controls anymore plus outbreak is EASILY my alltime favorite game mode they made

Operation Para Bellum and Operation Shadow Legacy were my two favorite wish we can just go back to how the game was balanced then. and if we can have old recoil with out all the misalignment problems. or just the shadow legacy recoil all guns felt amazing

Para bellum is the season i started playing siege. Loved the way the game felt back then. Just the look of the game the darker more realistic feel and the maps before the reworks just had so much more life. Especially house and chalet. Obviously the quality of life changes we have now feel a lot better to play i mostly just miss the look of the old siege. It felt unlike anything else
Ive played siege thoughout the years since beta and i always came back and loved the game. My passion for siege is great ❤❤ i used to play 1.6 before siege and counter strike is a primitive game compared to siege. ❤ r6

Despite the problems on the older seasons, the gunplay was so fast. Nowdays you take so much time to ADS after sprinting.. everyone holding angles now.

this is easy to do btw, if u wanna play old siege I don't remember the method entirely but there were videos on it, you need to log into a siege account to play it though so I don't recommend unless u have a alt account and u cant play multiplayer unless u setup a server which isn't hard but it can be mad annoying to do, last time I did this though was like 3 years ago idk if it still work. but man being able to go back into the old old seasons and relive them was very worth the effort of trying to get it to work. old siege holds some of my most fond memories and being able to replay it was very nostalgic when I did it, even looking at the old maps pre reworks was a blast and playing old siege as a hole was mad enjoyable.

Recoil was basically just visual, the guns hardly moved
White noise will forever be my favorite patch of siege, to me it was pretty much perfect then
