My prayers go out to you...I tried taking care of my mother when she had Dementia and it did not work..She would forget and do things, fall and break bones...You had to watch her 24 hr, 7 days a week..she would not sleep much...I cant remember how many broken bones she had when we finally had to put her in a nursing home...So sad...But my heart goes out to you...Im also disabled... so it was eeven crazy for me to think I could take care of her... I lasted about 6 months then my brother got her...He was the ones to put her in the nursing home...She broke her hip living with him...We tried but there was just no way...

Oh my, I'm sorry for what you went through. It's all so hard.
I'm really trying my best but I do think it isn't sustainable keeping her at home. I can't even get her to shower. It's hard to know though-- I don't want to live with mountains of guilt.
I've been making calls to assisted living facilities and it's just so strange and shocking.
