Bonds is 100% guaranteed to not be as good if couldn't wear juggernaut armor at the plate while standing over top of it. Notice in Pitt he didn't wear it. Easy to say that Bonds was that good because of steroids. No real proof, but plenty of suspicion. I'm not sure that is the case. Compare his record with Aaron's. They played to the same age and were great players and homerun hitters all their careers. Aaron might have been a good base stealer, but the game was different. Bonds had his best homerun season when he was 36. Aaron had his best total when he was 37 and both hit in the range of 40-45 homers during most of their careers. Bonds may have been a lot heavier in his thirties, but Aaron certainly had gained weight in his later years as well. Bonds benefited from a lively baseball in the late nineties and early 2000s while Aaron had to suffer the pitching era of the sixties. Training and diet were much better during Bonds' time than in Aaron's and Bonds certainly took advantage of that. The biggest difference between them was that Bonds always drew an exceptional number of walks while Aaron did not. Also, Aaron was not walked intentionally the way Bonds was due to different strategies. Steroids may have helped Bonds, but if so, there were enough others factors that could have been the reason. Finally, Aaron had fans and the press on his side while they didn't like Bonds. They would like to have his reputation tarnished.
No way that this man stays out of the Hall of Fame. Yeah, dude was juiced. But, he never officially failed an MLB drug test. So, he technically did not break any rules while playing. Put the man in the HoF

As a matter of fact, he was the guy that never came through in the playoffs for the Pirates. His Giant's career tainted baseball forever. It diminished what guys like Aaron, Mays, Griffey and others did, all because of Bonds narcissist personality.
He was pure talent before roids... pure talent during roids.... pure talent after roids... that's why he was an alien on the diamond and the clear cut GOAT
The pure talent never left . Hes still the greatest hitter of all time . For him not to be in the hall of fame should be criminal
He was drafted out of his by tge giants
You didn't mention this
Your vid is a joke
He was no doubt a great player but he went from 35 homers a year to 70 at the end of his career.
He could have been a little more careful to not pump up his numbers so disproportionally
The difference is pretty unbelievable as you highlighted. I would also add how many players hit more HRs in their late 30s and early forties when compared to their 20s.
Bro, he could ALWAYS hit anything they threw at him. Steroid didn't fix his vision. IF he was on roids, just means that the ball went further! What made him a better hitter as he got older is experience and more talent than everyone else!
@@vladimirjackson1272 highly unlikely, given the 100+ years of baseball history where basically no one was better as they approached 40 than earlier in their career. Also hitting the ball further translates into more HRs…hence helping him hit more home runs. Not saying he isn’t a great player, but you can’t overlook the impact steroids had on his career. I think he should be in the hall of fame like the rest of the steroid guys…we just need to acknowledge facts. Thank you for your comment.
💉💉💉💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿
Bonds is easily the GOAT and it aint even close
I don’t think you will get a lot of support on that due to his PED issues
roids can't help you see the ball better. plenty of players were juiced up and didn't come close to his skill. he's a hofer.
It does help you see the ball better. Google is your friend kid
MLB was complicit in the matter, so please explain to me why the players have been unjustly demonized???
No doubt about it. Plenty of blame to go around with this issue. It’s frankly a mess with no good solution. Thank you for your comment.
not just mlb. THE MEDIA played just a major role in the steroid era as the players and owners/management. canseco, caminitti and others said mlb had a steroid issue. the media ignored them. when it was their favorite player breaking records. all was good. then when bonds, a media pariah, began obliterating records. "Oh NOW we have a problem."
Unjustly demonized?!? MLB being complicit does NOT exonerate Bonds. He knew exactly what the "cream and the clear" were. He was BALCO as much as Greg Anderson, and Victor Conte were BALCO. He was the poster boy for PED's. He made Sosa and McGuire look like amateurs as far as PED use is concerned. So many people are looking for someone other than Bonds to blame for what Bonds actually did wrong. The narcissist Bonds has only himself to blame.
@@bretth5070
MLB should have to pay out 85% of the profits made during the steroid era back to the same players they've been blackballing from Cooperstown....
I have a different question.
How come Bruce Jenner and every single football player takes steroids....and somehow, no one makes an issue out of that.
Arnold Schwarzenegger was openly using steroids in body building and no one seemed to care.
One word! CHEATER!
this AI narration is awful.
He was a cheater!
He never tested positive....case closed
Just by looking at him, you can see Barry Bonds is using steroids!
He was using designer juice. 💉💉💉💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿
SEVEN MVPS......OTHERWORLDLY
Pretty unbelievable!
If we are going to keep him out we need to take the coke heads and the speed guys and the other cheaters already in the hall of fame. Bonds is the best dont hate
Agreed they should either put them all in or leave them all out. Not sure everyone would agree on him being the GOAT though
Coke, amphetamines, adderall, etc. NONE of those help your game like PED's Quit trying to make excuses for Barry BALCO! He did what he did, and that's that! He tainted baseball forever by posting numbers he NEVER would have achieved without the drugs!
Baseball was wayyyyy better with steroids!!!
Some people definitely have that opinion. It definitely was entertaining to watch
Don't care what anyone says Barry is the greatest player I've ever seen and he should be in the hall regardless of what he did he was a hafer before he juiced
Many would agree. I say if you put in one player that is rumored to have taken PEDs you should put them all in. Thank you for the comment.
@BBUYTTV absolutely but another thing everyone loved it when these guy's we're doing their thing you don't think baseball knew what was going on so all these writers need to vote them in oh and they don't like bond's he wasn't nice to them 🤣
@@michael-rc5pv all true. It is such a messy era in baseball. You make great points!
