I remember seeing this trailer at age 5 before "The Muppet Christmas Carol." I had no idea what the words "amber," "fossilized remains," "DNA," or "Jurassic" meant at the time, but I knew what dinosaurs were, and the eerie ambiance intrigued me. I never forgot it.
Alien is my pick....so gf terrifying, Prometheus tried to replicate it with that haunting sound effect but naw, the ambiguity of the original Alien Trailer is my ultimate pick
Watching this video this morning unlocked a 30 year-old memory of seeing this trailer in theaters and being a little freaked out by it. I must have been seeing Aladdin.
The first discovery was made in the spring of 1990. From a mine in South America came a piece of amber, containing the fossilized remains of a prehistoric mosquito. One of many that had fed upon the blood of dinosaurs. From the DNA in that blood, science was able to recreate those giants. And for the first time, man and dinosaur shared the Earth.
Teaser of The Year 1987: Some Kind of Wonderful 1988: Dirty Rotten Scoundrels 1989: Batman 1990: Total Recall 1991: Terminator 2 Judgement Day 1992: Toys 1993: Jurassic Park 1994: The Lion King 1995: Toy Story 1996: Twister 1997: The Lost World 1998: The Rugrats Movie 1999: The Spy Who Shagged Me 2000: Dinosaur 2001: Monsters Inc. 2002: Spider-Man 2003: Finding Nemo
Oh gosh that Toys film is so splendid it’s unreal. It’s dismissed by so many who were involved in shaking incidents during their post-birth years. A shame they demand to scream-shout sentences instead of talking normally. You get so many like them undiagnosed online. Nobody likes them.

14 yr old me in 1993: what about clones of the fossilized mosquito? 41 yr old me in 2021: -just shut up and watch the movie- 🤯 another chapter of _Jurassic World_ ?
Excellent teaser trailer. This preview might’ve shown in front of 2 Disney films like the original classic Beauty and the Beast and The Muppets Christmas Carol back in 1992. I think Jurassic Park was the fantastic, most awesome films of all times sake.
Anyone know who directed this trailer? It COULD be Spielberg, but it feels like a second unit or marketing team is behind it. I doubt Spielberg would’ve had time considering he was also making Schindler.
Now THIS is how you do a trailer. Capture people's interest without giving the plot away.
I'm with you
Like the teaser for Terminator 2.
True. But it also gave a creepy vibe too, you know?

Just hearing "Steven Spielberg" is exhilarating. What a great teaser
This was moment when iconic blockbuster movie was born.
actually jaws was, but for when I was a kid, this was the return of the iconic summer blockbuster!
This teaser is better than all 3 Jurassic World movies combined xD
@t1gerstripe690yes true
No it’s not. That’s hyperbole if I’ve ever seen it.
The first jurassic world was incredible
The best teaser trailer ever? Yes.
I think it’s better then the full trailer
Yes it doesn’t give anything away
With The Lost World in a close second.
T2 teaser was also amazing

You can make many sequels but this movie... Untouchable.
The sequels aren’t made to “touch” this movie.
I love that this teaser implies that the Jurassic Park incident already happened and Spielberg will show us how it happened.
One of the analog horrors took place on 1987
This trailer needs to be on the Blu-rays. Hopefully when the Dominion boxed set comes out, they can rectify that.
And I hope the first 3 movies gets a new HD transfer maybe from a 4K scan
Happy 30th Anniversary to Jurassic Park, I can't believe it's been so long.
I forgot which rental VHS this was on, but I remember rewinding it like a mad man to rewatch this trailer again and again.

I must have seen this teaser like a hundred times as a kid. I was so hyped for this. Great fucking experience

I know that but Jurassic Park was the biggest movie to be shown in glorious DTS Digital Surround Sound
The teaser for this and Ghostbusters are my absolute favorite teasers to a film.
This is a perfect, classic style teaser.
Quite possibly the most perfect teaser trailer there ever was.
It happened at a place called Jurassic Park
Coming Summer '93
Too bad we're not going to get any good teaser like this anymore, or any good Jurassic movies. I'm just going to pretend the World era does not exist.
And a global phenomenon was born.
This teaser alone is better than the Jurassic world movies.
From this to Jurassic world dominion jesus this franchise has come so far
Jurassic Park: The Adventure Begins!
1:23 and that is how Jurassic Park was born
EPIC.

YES YES YES

I don't think the actor who played the miner taking the first piece of amber out ever got his due (or blame). Such a great bit of acting!
1:05 65 million years ago this mosquito sucked the blood of a feathered Tyrannosaurus that was killed by a Giganosaurus 😅
Epic
I never see the teaser trailer before!
Hammer
Aladdin 1992 Theatre
The Muppets Christmas Carol 1992 Theatre
Who else watched this after coming back from Dominion
It's June 11th 2023, Happy 30th Anniversary to Jurassic Park!
I am a fan of Jurassic Park
I will literally change my profile photo to the 1993 Jurassic Park logo
30 years!!!
This is a perfect trailer. Maybe the perfect trailer. Only might be bested by terminator factory trailer.
In the soundtrack, what is the name of music ?
Wasn't the amber mine in the Dominican Republic in the movie? Not South America lol...
Shredded
I actually own a film reel of this, was told when I got it was an alternate point to Jurassic park.
Summer '93
I never seen this trailer before
Sounds like the intro of Raiders of the Lost Ark.
John Williams
yes correct. same composer: John Williams
This teaser trailer is awesome, but I think The Lost World did it better
