I was praying for the Sixers to get him and pair him with Embiid, to trade down but Memphis was to slick. Plus Edey is mentally tough, durable. He is the whole package for a center. This podcast is well done, much respect.

Edey & the memphis training staff will make conditioning and lateral quickness the top focus. Edey is used to proving doubters wrong, he’s been doing so his whole life! he still has a lot more to prove. Excited to see what’s to come this year, Edey will unlock Jaren Jackson’s defensive abilities, and Edey’s size will translate to the NBA. people forget that Edey will be the largest NBA player from day one. Other centers who have used their size and strength to dominate in college (ie Sanogo or Luka Garza) simply aren’t as big as Edey. When Garza and Sanogo got to the NBA, their strength and size advantage shrunk. The same is not true for Edey, who will still be the biggest player in his respective league. Not to mention, Edey was more dominant than both those players & proved in the national championship that he can score effectively against the best centers in the game. People will look back at this draft and kick themselves for not taking the giant, proven, dominant basketball monster that is Zach Edey. 🤫

Kessler is one of the young center with decent defence in the league. Edey just ate him easily.
