I think this is why Tex fights with Church so much she is trying to distance herself emotionally from him. As much as that pains her she doesn't want Church to remember the pain the director put him through.

the only reason he did that, was because he was beating himself over lose of the woman he loved, so in a way, he was torturing himself, and his AI counterpart, cause he didn't know how to let things go, or rather, letting her go, cause all that pain, misery and sadness blinded him to the fact that he has a daughter to look after, cause Carolina is the only family he had left.
God it's so awful seeing Church like this. He's all Tired and barely a shell of who he was. Its sickening to see what all the fracturing and torture has done to Church. And Tex's reaction is super sad too. This animatic showed all these emotions so well. (I'm gonna curl up into a ball in a corner and sob)
At least Epsilon learned what his creator couldn't. To just let go. Accept the past and move on. And with the end of Season 13, the last remnants and fragments of Alpha were gone. The only thing left of Project Freelancer is two agents. Carolina and Washington. But they both did what Epsilon did. Let go of their past and stop letting it define them.
Thats not all that's left of PFL. The Triplets are probably still fighting their Charon Industries counterparts. Georgia might have crashed into a military ship, and having continued his service. Or maybe he's just floating out there. But above all that... We still have the goofy dozen of Simulation Troopers.

Its sad because THIS is the Church she knows and loves. The one she meets in blood gulch, well ofc shes gonna be hot headed and cold towards him, especially since his memory is all different. Thats not the same church Tex knows and love but he does work his way back with her. God damn this is amazing

I have a Theory: The Quipy attitude that Tex have during season 1-3 was a Charade, pretty much like Wash, Bascially was Tex playing her attitude because she felt confortable with blue team & wanted to be one with them, that's why he gets so insane when she thinks Sister was Replacing her

OUCH... this was so wonderfully made and set up!! I love the interpretaton of how the scene went, of the Alpha being weak and Beta catching him and talking on the floor, rather than standing around and talking. Well done!
This show despite its flaws and unfortunate jokes that did not age very well is beautiful and I think this animation shows really well the best of red vs blue and reminds me why I got into it in the first place so many years ago the characters you did an amazing job 💙

What’s worse is that Tex technically died back in the og chronicles, and by the time alpha put it together, he also died, then epsilon came along and became the proxy of both alpha and the director and tried to bring Tex back but sadly realized that they can never be together as the director only ever remembered Allison because of her death. So she will always die.
I almost never cry but this is one of the moments I can admit I cried. This was such a powerful seen and now seeing there faces makes it hit even harder.
You know, does anyone else make the comparison of the director to Gendo Ikari? Kinda feels like they were going with that, given that both their wife’s were powerful fighter (Tex and Yui), their children had a lot of baggage (Carolina and Shinji) and their own creations screwed them over (Church and Rei).
I love RvB because of the inside jokes and the sillyness, but man first time i saw this... i cried, a lot. Very nicely done ! ( And im NOT crying ! ) *sniff*

This was peak rooster teeth. It was a passion project led by the true creator then once he left they knew they couldn’t deliver so just put on nonsense. I’m pulling through for this final season in the fall. One more chance for it to end in greatness

Despite the smugness between the two, church and Tex are definitely a tragic couple.
