    I bought two of these. One in 166g and one in 169g. To me the bead isn’t really noticeable and I have smaller hands. The lighter one gets a little more turn and flys almost like a new star wraith and the heavier one flys like my orbit grace. Except both of my racers go further than my wraith and grace which are my go to distance driver. I’m reaching holes that I could only ever get to edge of c1 at best. Consistently getting 20-30ft more distance than any other disc. They fly as far as my star shryke but much straighter. My shryke gets turn and holds it and has slight fade, also worry about turning it over. Not with the racers! I’m in love! Don’t knock it till you throw one. They have way more glide than a beat in destroyer, a wraith and dare I even say a grace. I throw on average 375-390. It’s hard to get anything over 400ft consistently. But I can throw these 400-410 repeatedly!

    Check out MY😢review with a different take. This is a great player and review...UNFORTUNETLY this dude isnt telling you that he has a gun. Most of us dont. I reviewed this racer on 2 different outing including todsy 9/12/24.

      It’s a decent disc. Great glide. I just don’t like the feel of the rim on the one I got. Maybe I need to try another one out. I heard the lighter weight ones are great.

    Looks like a fun disc, thanks for the review! IMO a GStar Destroyer = a more understable destroyer out of the box

    I prefer this to a destroyer. Nice and straight! Reminds me of a faster teebird

    I have a first run Racer (175g) in the metal flake champion plastic. It's fun, very glidey, and great for an open fairway (with little to no headwind).
    My issue with it is its reliability. It doesn't handle headwinds the best (Florida), and it seasons much faster because of the bead. I throw my Destroyers around 450ft when the fairway calls for it, and I can throw the Racer up to 500, but it will turn much more than even my very seasoned, 168g star Destroyer.
    I've thrown it to where it floated less than 2ft above the ground for almost 300ft in a straight line though. That was pretty cool.
    8/10 would recommend for most players. Would not recommend for power throwers or those in very windy regions. Extra points for choosing a very fun and interesting snake to name it after! One of my favorite native species!

    I've tried a few destroyers and they just aren't for me, but this might actually work 🤔

      Worth a shot.

      This or a Wraith. I find the 11 speed more comfortable in my hand and with all the plastic options you can get a halo for more overstable and gstar, star or pro for more stable/straight.

    How much farther did it go than the Trail.

    • @PartTimeDiscGolf
      @PartTimeDiscGolf  หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Great question. Trail felt better in the hand and honestly, went about the same distance. I should do a head to head with the trail.

    You should include the distances for the videos when you you are doing the field tests. It helps get an idea how much it bombs.
    Racer vs fission time lapse next??

      A little more turn out of this than my c line enigma. Goes a bit further than the enigma too.

    I’d venture that 70% or more of players have no business throwing a 12sd.

      @@jaimevaldez3586 I have not thrown the Racer. Just by looking at the video, i can easily see, it doesn't take 700ft of power to throw well. Jrr9571's opinion is a trendy one, & i'm tired of hearing it. You don't need to throw 500ft+ to benefit A LOT from high speed discs.

    • @jaimevaldez3586
      @jaimevaldez3586 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@teemubrandt4716 yea I agree, some players may not be able to throw a 12 or 13 speed the way they are intended to fly but that doesn’t mean they can’t find a spot in their game for a higher speed disc. I don’t use destroyers and nukes for my max distance drivers like pros or people with big arms do, but I still use them for a different style shot. I think people should know their limits and play to their abilities whatever that may look like.
      I have two lighter weight racers that for me bomb. They are the perfect fit for my arm speed

    Great video, as usual.
    Would love to see the racer compared to the Kastaplast Vass and an innova made discmania DDX
