I got a Browning superposed my Mom gave me back in 1970's. A few years later got an old 30-30 Barrel, and had gunsmith turn to fit the chamber. Acounted for many a Deer, Hogs, Pekary and else. When something snorts 15 yds away in the brush, 12 Ga Buckshot is the one, Beyond 40 yds(Max for upland shotgun choke with buckshot) the Tuty-Tuty comes into play(Last Deer I got a nice 10 Pointer at about 100 yds) . If I find a 24V in 30-30, will retire the Browning for big game hunting👍If 222 Rem Hard to get, guess a 223 Reamer might make availability easyer
Really nice on last load. Right powder with right projectile has good results. Love the 24s but the 42s Savage needs to switch to a good walnut stock. Take care. 🙏👍🎯
They must have only made 2 Savage 24V .357/20 because until right now I had not heard or read of anyone else having a .357 version other than myself lol.
CW. Good video. I shot my HP 995 carbine the other day and ended up with a pretty big spread with the 9mm ammo from 50Y. May have been an issue with the both the gun and the ammo but it is a fun gun to shoot. Thanks for sharing and take care.
HAYYYYY CW !! Just wanted to say liking how you did this video ! And thanks for doing more odd ball calibers 😁 because of you I got a lil 7mm deal coming in the mail soon 😉
@BOHEMIANHUNTINGCLUB Good morning James! In picked up four 'tender barrels. So plenty of content... Only Im in Jail for beck chat last year when GENII Rugers came out!
Interesting result. I could be incorrect but it looked like a model 788 next door to you. Caliber and how well it would be of interest as well Mountain man
@@StevenMMan Good rainy morning Steven!! Hope all is well haven't noticed you lately! Good eye!! Yes that is my friend's 788 in 222! This was third range trip and first shooting my cast.
@cw2a I actually pretty good just been focusing what little energy I have on this year deer hunt. Currently in firearms season use the casull. Harvested a little 3×4 with archery equipment 3 days before the end of that season. Unfortunately not to excited about muzzleloader season this year. Long story, and may do a video on the subject. Good morning, CW. That last cast load was great! I've done a lot of cast shooting, but mostly 30 and 35 cal. Last year, I bought the Lee sixcavity 22 mold and a box of gas checks, but I've never done anything with it. Maybe this winter, I'll get a chance to play with it. Are you powder coating these bullets or just lubing them? Thanks for sharing! Rat

Good results on the last group. Looks like that rifle like jacketed bullets quite well
@@jamespugh The rifle is a very good shooter. I have 5/6 of these and haven't had one that would not shoot well.
222 is a great cartridge, and nice M24! Stay safe and have a great day!

Hey CW! Fun experimenting with your own casts and loads. That last load was tight!

I dont see too much. Anymore no. Too bad for some. But as a reloader, Ill never run out.
I almost took that 30/30 out this year.
Morning C-Dub, this shows why I never messed with anything smaller then 7mm. Too confusing for Me to find a load that groups. Great shooting 😁👍

I've never found a 788 that wouldn't shoot well. I currently have one in 243 Win that's had a hard life but will still shoot under an inch.
