I saw them at Winter Jam twice the first time they performed songs off of this album the second time it was of Beauty and Rage.

At that "go back to sleep" and the "wake UUUUUUP!" part I always imagine it's Satan saying to people who are blinded by sin "go back to sleep slave, you're right where I want you" but then God gets through to them and is saying "wake up, you don't have to be a slave to sin no more, it's time to WAKE UUUUP!"
Went through the toughest time of my life a few years ago. Gave my life to the Lord and found Red as a Christian rock band, my life has never been the same again. Many years later and I'm blessed with a crazy beautiful wonderful bride, two amazing kids... And I still listen to Red.

Red are amazing! I had the pleasure of seeing them live at a Christian music festival. It was raining hard for most of that day. And, it was an outdoor amphitheatre. Not long before they were scheduled to come on stage, my son and I were inside a building because it was raining so hard. I thought they were going to have to cancel the concert. But, then the rain slowed to a sprinkle. We went back to the venue. The entire crowd was chanting Red Red Red, over and over! They came on stage and put on an amazing show! It has to be great for a band to hear that from a crowd in crappy weather.
This band is the best Christian rock group of all time !

I love it how the ending of "Darkest Part" leads to the beginning of "Feed the Machine" and the ending of "Feed the Machine" was in the beginning of "Release the Panic". Red had made the best idea for their music videos.

I underestimated these guys, two words: Simply, Amazing.
This song is so powerful. We live in a society where we're valuing rebellion more and more, but it's purely for the sake of rebellion - break this law, violate these expectations, etc., just so I can have fun, and do whatever I want, without anyone imposing limits on me. And that's sad.
RED's music is all about spiritual growth and development. Rebelling simply to do whatever you want is one thing, and a shallow thing. Fighting convention in order to spread a good message, become a better person, create a better world... That's what this song is about, and that kind of rebellion is holy and necessary.

I heard this song on a TH-cam preview of this album while in the middle of my journalism class. I had my earbuds in and I had the volume cranked, no idea what I was in for. The song ended and I just sat there in silence with this stupid look on my face staring at the computer screen.
I then continued to watch it 20 more times.

+Laura J Cortez The assumption being that they worship Satan because their album was released on 6/6/06? Even if that WAS their intention, I sincerely doubt that it's a reflection of their ideology. Especially since they're quite obviously Christian. I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss this album because of something like that, which is either a shocking coincidence or a taken opportunity that wouldn't come about again for quite some time (June 6th, 2066/2106), because that's pretty shallow. In my opinion, anyway. Sometimes, Christian bands need to be "cool" to be popular with the teenagers in order to spread hope to them. If it was intentional, then I assume that's why. Otherwise they're the most unconvincing Satan worshippers/anti-Christians ever. It'd be a shame to miss out on an incredibly unique and eloquent band over something trivial like a number.

This is the first song I heard from Red. Before the day was over I owned everything they ever made.
I started listening to red in 2011, and till this day they are still one of my favorite bands. I remember the first song I heard of theirs was already over. Coming back to this video brings back so many good memories it's overwhelming. Red will forever be one of the most memorable bands in my book.

the song goes deeper than you think..this thing is LOADED with stuff, the term, "feed the machine" is about how we're just pleasing life, day in and day out...we have let this world determine who we are, and have never searched for ourselves on our own, hence the verse, "You need the danger just to feel your heart beat/You need to die just to find your identity"...the part when he says WAKE UP, is when, as a Christian, you break free from those chains, hope this helps! :)
