I'm 27 and I've been watching them since high school. Even friends my age who don't know who they are know their videos. They made a gigantic impact during newground's heyday. I live in South East Asia but EVERYONE was watching OneyNG and Psychicpebbles back in the day
I'm so used to hearing something completely ridiculous follow every genuine answer given in Zach's voice that I brace for it every time I hear him speak now.
Zach's "bad at anatomy but very detailed" style reminds me a lot of Don Rosa's Scrooge McDuck comics. He also "wasn't good" at drawing but he compensated by adding a lot of detail, making the most recognizable and iconic Donald Duck comics to date. Both are great cases of utilizing your strengths to create something original and interesting. I'm really looking forward to what else Zach and Michael comes up with in Smiling Friends. Judging from the pilot, it'll be a future classic for sure!

If you don't know of Don Rosa's art I recommend you looking him up. Like I said; he's an iconic comic book illustrator and writer. I think comparing him to Zach is a huge amount of praise to both of them.

I feel like, judging solely off this video, Zach’s artistic level of detail is starting to rub off on Michael’s own drawings. He keeps saying that Zach’s a better artist, but Michael is clearly improving all the time.

After listening to Sleepy Cast for years, and hearing how someone would get 10 dollars and go buy 10 dollar burgers from mcdonalds and have a feast to seeing the boys succeed in life makes my goblin heart melt

I kind of want an archive of Zach's random hypotheticals from Oneyplays to be in the background. Not the main focus of an episode ofc, we want new content. But it'd be nice to see like a newspaper article about "little critter" or another one of Zach's random creations from the past.

I didn't know about either artist until doing some research and finding out they started out on Newgrounds and the pilot episode has guest appearance by Tom Fulp. I grew up to Newgrounds in the 4th grade back in 2004... woo.. long time ago. It's amazing to see these creators get worldwide recognition. Happy for them and the rest of the team!
