Best explanation of the thoracic spine that I have found. Many videos don’t number the thoracic vertebrae and don’t show pictures to correlate where they are like yours. Thank you!
You're welocme. Thanks for the compliment.
This came up randomly, but I love it! I'm prepping for a workshop I'm doing on posture. Thanks!

Great video
Thank you. I appreciate the feedback.
Hi Dr, is it possible for a problem with the cervical spine in say, C6 or C7 likely due to a bone spur compression on a nerve to feel pain as far down the spine as the T5 or T6 area? I had an MRI done back in 2008 and the two orthopedic Dr’s I saw said I had a bone spur (if I remember correctly, it might have been a disc issue)and that it was causing me the pain I was experiencing back then in my neck and left arm. I had been in a couple of basically back-to-back auto accidents within a month’s time and was seeing a chiropractor and had multiple imaging tests done. I was recommended surgery by one Dr and the second opinion said wait until the pain either gets better and avoid surgery, or gets worse and have it. I opted to wait and do PT and further chiro and the pain subsided after about 3 months in a reasonably linear fashion. Now FF to 2024 and no accidents or anything but I’m now 50 and heavier. I now have pain in that familiar place in my neck, but no real pain in the arm but I do have significant (feels like) radiating type pain down in my upper thoracic spine that frequently but not always accompanies it. Is this a known thing or am I experiencing some kind of coincidental multiple issue thing do you think? I ask because you really know your stuff and I’d love to know your thoughts on it. Unfortunately I live in another state or I’d come and visit your clinic in person. Thanks for the videos!
Thanks for the compliment and for watching my videos. I greatly appreciate it. The symptoms in the upper thoracic spine can be related to the cervical spine issues or it may be a thoracic or rib cage issue. If I were you I would schedule to see the chiropractor on a consistent basis. I would also execute the following exercises: Cervical spine, thoracic spine and chest muscle stretching. Thoracic spine mobilization. Rhomboid, middle traps and lower traps strengthening. I have videos for these exercises on my TH-cam channel. Please let me know if you have any further questions.
