I’ve been mostly self taught up to this point and will be planning to take the A+ exam shortly and then plan to enroll in WGUs cyber program, TH-cam has gotten me to this point so far and there are countless resources out there for just about anything and thank you for turning me on to Dr. Auger and his daily threat briefings it’s become a routine for my mornings.
Thank you for your super informative videos Nicole. They have been super helpful as I embark on this new journey of cybersecurity. I am currently completing my certification in Cybersecurity through IBM. So far it's been very comprehensive, but just wanted to get your input on whether you think this is a good route, and if you'd suggest doing the Comptia Security test as well. Thank you for all your effort :)
I definitely suggest doing Security+. It's a great certificate and can help you get that first entry level job. if you are wanting to get a SOC analyst position look at the CYSA+ afterwards
Do you recommend getting A+ before network+? I'm trying to get into cybersecurity and I have some what IT experience working at the Apple store as a technical specialist. Or what route would you recommend to get into cybersecurity?
Hi Nicole, I’m studying now Google IT technical support certificate. Will finish it in three months. I started applying for job. I’ve had phone call for technical support. Interviewed me on phone. It all went well but it didn’t work in end due to no experience in commercial firm. They needed one year experience at least. Please advise thank you Nicole 👍🤝👊👌
I am a Non It professional am planning to switch over career am interested in Cybersecurity can you suggest me which I have to choose Cyber or cloud security for entry level
Hi Nicole. I appreciate your videos. I am from the Philippines. Can you recommend any entry level SOC L1 remotely accepting applicants? I only have 4 yrs of customer/technical support experience and finished two courses with diploma (Computer Engineering and Computer Science ). I don't have any experiences on security and doesn't have any home labs. Can you also recommend where do I start if I am in the Philippines? Thank you so much in advance
