Not surprised she did so well, honestly - huge respect for the strength and endurance of a professional ballet dancer, not to mention the coordination and body awareness. And let's be real, she's got a lot left in reserve here.
Yes I mean she’s a professional dancer, she would be very fit already. Also all the controlled dancing I would imagine her core strength, leg strength, balance would be exceptional. A great time. Well done, great job.
Amazing 1st parkrun. My first park run I was horribly out of shape and ran a 30:37 and even now as I am in reasonably good condition at 65 years old my best 5k was last year @ 24:44. She looked reasonably comfortable running a 24:04 and I was a wreck @ 24:44. I hope she continues her running.
Wow 24 mins! My current pb is still 31 hoping to get that down soon was hoping to it do it by the end of 2019 but got injured in July and was out for 5 and half months!
This coming Saturday I will be accompanying a work colleague on her first parkrun. I don’t think we’ll be running anywhere near as fast as you and Emma, but I’m hoping she will enjoy the experience like Emma appeared to.
She obviously has massive leg strength from dancing but, still that is an awesome time for a first 5km! She would improve fast once she puts in the miles at low pace and gets those running muscles attuned.
This is my first watch of a Jog On video having seen someone in one of the orange tops today at Basingstoke parkrun. The music and style is oddly intense for the chilled parkrun hobby, but interesting. I'll watch some more of these vids and see if this is the usual style
Would recommend watching a newer video, like the one released this morning at Woolacombe for example. Likely still intense for you, but with a beauty to it that can be appreciated
@@thisisjogon - I did just watch the Woolacombe vid - that looked beautiful. Perhaps a run for the 'one day' list. Different styles of videos are cool - I didn't mean the intensity was negative. Your vids seem great. Also just watched the warm up to improve speed video (at a nice course I have done - Cranbrook Country Park), and I will definitely try 10 mins gentle run (and maybe some sprints) before next Saturday. Thanks for the useful and good content
@@thisisjogon looks like you're having a resurgence thanks to the enduring mystery of TH-cam's algorithms! Great effort from a first time park runner there! 👍
She is a professional athlete, even if in a different sport, so she has a lot of strength and endurance. Not to deminish her accomplishment, but I just mean to make you see the context. She is not an office worker who gave it a go at a 5k
It was not long at all after this that parkruns stopped completely Jim so I imagine probably not, but she had, and has, great potential. I wish her well.

Superb stuff Anna - and thank you for reporting back. Very well done on the persistence, keep it up!

GoAnna! (a big lizard here in Australia) A sub 25 is just around the corner.
Nice one, that's a good improvement!
Awesome !!!!!

I hope she did, 11 months ago!
Impressed with Emma!
Very
Damn that was really good! Congrats. Now the question is, 'can the runner do ballet?' As always great video. Now about them t-shirts...
Thank you very much. you can email thisisjogon@gmail.com with a size request
JOG ON with Harry Morgan are they “unisex” sized? Asking for a friend 😏
Noll S Men’s and women’s
Nice video I took 2 of my friends there first park run in exmouth last week

Harry
Wow she was amazing, well done 👍
Thank you 😊 - I appreciate you watching and commenting.

Amazing effort for someone out their comfort zone!
Love that you watched this as well, thanks Bomb Doctor (great TH-cam channel name)
Now, how about the runner becoming the ballerina? A very impressive time for a first timer versus an ‘old timer’. Great video!
Maybe one day, filmed this a long time ago! It’s amazing it still gets views.
Thanks for watching

Emma is certainly a beautiful mover. Hadn't really though of parkrunning as art before.
It's an interesting angle to look at it from David, thank you for watching
Can we buy the jog on tops?
Joe McDonald you can email thisisjogon@gmail.com with a size request. Thank you for the support
first 5k 24 flat. Fantastic is exactly the word .
A great run
Running is a ballet in one dimension.
Love this comment
Ballet is InTeNseLy fit and graceful. I am a runner but now I am off to to ZUMBA!!!!!!!
Hope it went well
Wow Wow Wow if she has never run and that was her first 5k well done to you
definitely potential
I want to see you return the challenge and do some ballet with her... 😂❤️
I did wonder about this. Maybe one day
So, Harry, when will be see you in tights in ballet shoes?
Could be a big video I suppose
Dang, and here i was proud of my 24:46 after 4 months of training and running 40 km per week.

Nice 24 minutes is awesome, I thought she was faster than me for a while but my pr is 23:50
Great pr - well done and thanks for commenting
So are you going to try your hand at ballet next?
It is tempting
On pointe!
I coached surf sports and the dancers tend to be better at explosive stuff like short sprints.
They are alot like gymnasts
Interesting, thanks for sharing
The hair band Harry! 😆😆
I may bring that look back
@@thisisjogon With leg warmers?
Now you need to turn your hand to your first ballet competition 😂
Exactly
Great time for a first 5K. I'd imagine looking at her leg length and build she could become very good if she chose running.
I would imagine so yes, real potential was shown that day
It would be cool if you do a return to parkrun vid /,,/
Funny you should mention it: we filmed exactly that this morning, it was wonderful to be back
Thank you for the comment, and watching!
Harry
Have I missed the one where you don a tutu then Harry…?
That could get a few views Adam
Go on. Do a Desmond.
Basingstoke always reminds me of "Ba Sing Sei" , the city in Avatar-Airbender
🔥 💧 🌎 💨
just on the same level as me my pb is 23 mins for a 5k
i also just won a junior park run in 8 mins this weekend it was 2k
🔥
Could the runner become the dancer is the question 🤔 😅 cool video
You never know. Thank you for watching
Has she completed more parkrun since ?

@@thisisjogon I’m. Sure you’ll be planing a return too parkrun episode
