Yeah, stealing the new drone jamming system was the right thing to do from both a short- and long-term operational perspective. Even if you find out some new enemy capability is not nearly as overpowering as your forces were led to believe, that is still important intelligence because you'll know that you don't have to unnecessarily reallocate or develop resources. But -- just hear me out -- wouldn't it have been just plain fun to take out Russia's amazing new drone jammer with a drone strike using a single drone?
Possibly, but finding out that "new" technology was a dud is much funnier and vital for opsec. The Russians did deploy a communication vehicle worth $100,000 which was "removed" using drones. Much more value for money.
On the desertions in Kherson, perhaps because the Ruz there are the farthest from home or help? They feel the most extended and exposed, and with the Kherson front a sideshow right now, a lot of Ruz conscripts have boredom and anxiety working on them. This kind of thing can spread among the ranks. Fingers crossed!
Other Russian troops may wish to do the same, but are unable to do so because they are in the midst of areas densely populated with other units and face scrutiny from commanders. Just like in the joke about the three most important factors in real estate, it's location, location, location.
Have Republicans never played Domino’s? One piece falls and they all fall… It’s a simple concept. Ukraine Falls, then Poland, then Finland then pick one in Europe and it’s gonna keep going. We have another instance of a leader like Germany had in World War II who wants power and resources and to leave a legacy under his name. We have a choice in or another 30 million people lost in a war? 😊
Was that Domino theory true with Vietnam. Attacking Finland or Poland would 100 times more foolish than attacking Ukraine. If Russia was going attack another nation if they could take and hold Ukraine would be Moldovia or Georgia both are not in NATO. Moldovia has breakaway region much like Ukraine has and is next door to Ukraine. Georgia already had some land taken by Russia. Putin is not dumb he knows he is struggling in Ukraine and Russians still out number Ukrainian forces. And Putin knows NATO out numbers Russia. Putin a former KGB agent is not dumb.
Putin stated in several speeches that was his plan, “Ukraine, then Finland, then…Europe.” And yes, we failed in Vietnam. Attacking when the enemy has a home field advantage is always more difficult. Keep in mind that Poland and Finland(?) are NATO countries, and add that they would have that home court advantage. All I know is Putin by his own words said so, and we have a chance to stop WW3 now.
@@DubhghlasMacDubhghlas Russia cannot hold Ukraine. They would find those 'desertions' everywhere if they tried. Go back 1000 years to when the Normans conquered the Saxons and took over England. It was a century before they dared go out alone anywhere.
@@Erin-Thor I did not say did US failed in Vietnam. I asked did the Domino theory happen. Spoiler it did not happen. Now US attacks in Cambodia and Laos destabilize those countries which allowed communism to rise there. Not because the south fall to the north. And if Putin talked about Poland and Finland and you believe him I guess he is about to launch some Nukes. Putin own words was to bring back the lands that the USSR had. Which is not just Poland and Finland. That is what I have read. And the far easier targets would be non NATO nations. Which makes much more sense.
Howdy Art and what! 👋🏼🤠💙 (I forgot to add what was because Ian…iiz… what⁉️ LOL! Never mind. 😊 Ian is happy? Ian is sad? Ian is having a wonderful morning… okay shutting up now.)
I think desertion was inevitable with the fact that Putin is now mobilizing people who have never had any combat training, never had desire, never wanted any of this. It may be that there's a lot lot lot of really pissed off Russians that wanna get this shit over. That's my extremely simplified non war minded take on it. Oy!
Russia is trying to get people from foreign countries to become soldiers, but each has to buy and supply their own equipment except the rusty weapons. Does Pootin care? Nope.
For the Russian conscripts even a POW status is much better than having your own commander shoot you if you turn around. The conscripts aren't equipped with weapons that are functional, rarely decent food, and most had to buy body armour, boots, helmets themselves.
@@ninemoonplanet Russian conscripts do not fight in Ukraine. Russian men can freely leave the country; Ukraine has not allowed men out for a long time. Get out of your bubble.

Putin just okayed oil and gas companies forming private armies to protect their facilities. Which is truly mind boggling considering the manpower shortage. An man not mobilized will quickly sign up for these do nothing jobs well away from the front line. 🤦💙🇺🇸🕊️

??? Not sure to get the actual ‘meat’ of this broadcast. A few pointers: 1. ‘Russia has 18 months’.. looking at the current situation, one can wonder what would be of the battle for ont even by summers, so, 18 months….. 2. ‘Both armies are essentially relying on conscripts’. Well,….no. According to both NYC and WSP, russo has attested abt 30k volunteers a months since December 2023, hence the absence of immediate need for mobilization. In addition, this speaks volume of the psychological situation of both armies when one consider the difficulties encountered by the AUF to even pass a conscription bill. 3. ‘Rumors of disappearance of aussi an soldiers around Kerson’: not sure what Beau is actually referring to. However, the desertion or abandonment of fighting post by AUF elite forces (the remaining of the Azov battalion) near Avdivka for thé past 2 weeks, are well documented. Any comment on that? 3. ‘The AUF Is winning the drone war’….Ehmm….one would need them to explain why the Bradley’s have been withdrawn from the battlefield….becos of the superiority of Russian drones. I could go on and on, but pls let me have your views. There are too many issues to be ignored
Thank you for keeping us informed about Ukraine! The desertions in Cherson make me think of the partizan that right after the liberation of the city, showed us the where he had used an edged weapon from behind when a soldier was just unsuspectingly urinating from the sidewalk.. A short walk later he did the same to another soldier. I'm hoping your gov. officials make the right decision this Friday.
The Chinese are always unclear. Most bullet points. I used to live there and contracts are scary because they expect you to sign and you don’t know what it is, even in English.
This is hilarious. It's a simple numbers game at this point. Russia has more of everything. Russia has multiple times more artillery and drones. And the manpower issue works both ways.
Anyone "captured" is interviewed, then given a phone to call home so family knows where they are. Russian POWs are tortured, starved, beaten. No wonder some run to the Ukranian side.
A Ukrainian journalist has been interviewing POWs and shows them here on TH-cam. They have to consent, and are given the chance to call their family or a friend in Russia. Some have remarkable reasons for volunteering...
As far as how bad it is for Russian troops, one aspect is the level of medical evacuation and care (to be exact the severe lack there of). I have seen reports that Russian soldiers have been recorded by Ukrainian drones using grenades next to their heads if they get wounded. I unfortunately saw such a video. That is extreme desperation.
I have a question for Beau or any of the Internet people: Beau's Takes on Ukraine were generally positive towards Ukraine But if I watch Television (CNN) I see anchor after anchor asking If it is even possible for Ukraine to win or if they should just Negotiate a peace. I'm afraid I haven't paid as much attention to Ukraine as I should because I'm a bit wrapped up By the happenings in Gaza and the West Bank
They're "just asking questions." There aren't any CNN talking heads who know anything about it. There's no way to "balance" ignorant opinion against real information. Television is about entertainment, not education.
I must admit Beau Putin exceeded my Expectations as old as he is he is still strong in his determination. I knew about his similar views as Republicans but to see his mindset take hold of people in my own nation is something I’ve never could see coming. Militarily I think he’s a fool but politically the mans next level Obama was right they weren’t able to handle Putin. I just don’t see how nobody saw it coming or maybe they did but were powerless to stop it. Either way he has revealed a weakness in America and other countries will exploit that weakness someday.

Issues with mobilization? That's about Ukraine. Have u seen their mobilizing methods??
Good morning, Beau, it's the internet people again.
Thank you. I was wondering what was going on lately.
You might find Jake Broe's content on the war in Ukraine. He is retired US Air Force and does long content nearly daily.
"Troops are no longer present" It's Bigfoot isn't it? Ukrainian Bigfoot. With a pickle jar. It's best not to ask such questions.
Shhh 🤫🤫 🇺🇦. 🤣
I'm here for the salt.😄🌻💙🇺🇦
Thank you for the analysis, it is helpful in so many ways.
Just like in the joke about the three most important factors in real estate, it's location, location, location.
copium
No version of “no longer being present” for combat operations is good for Russian morale, at least that’s what I imagine…
Have Democrats ever played house? USA will be bankrupt and overrun by invaders soon. Who is going to help us?
F16 training has been going on for a while, here in Denmark.
Drone warfare is a total game changer. The Ukrainians have completely turned the tide on conventional methods.
funny then that russia takes more territory daily and about 1000 ukrainians meet their maker
And people gave kids a hard time for playing all those first person shooter games.😏
Thanks for the update, Beau.
Thanks for a fantastic video!

Thanks for the update on Ukraine. I watch a ton of news but finding out about what's going on there seems difficult.

This person can't figure it out either.

Thank you for the much needed Ukraine update.
Morning y'all
👋
Yes F16 training for Ukrainians is happening in Romania. The Romanian media says at least part of it is happening in Feteşti.
Russians may be leaving, but they don’t really have anywhere to go.
For the Russian conscripts even a POW status is much better than having your own commander shoot you if you turn around.
The conscripts aren't equipped with weapons that are functional, rarely decent food, and most had to buy body armour, boots, helmets themselves.
They should come here. The border is open!
@@ninemoonplanet Russian conscripts do not fight in Ukraine. Russian men can freely leave the country; Ukraine has not allowed men out for a long time. Get out of your bubble.
THX Sir.
I thought Russia ran out of missiles two years ago?
Thanks, Beau and crew, for the research, and the concise, accurate coverage. I appreciate the information density, and a style that doesn't feel like drinking from a fire hose.
Much appreciated, Beau
Putin just okayed oil and gas companies forming private armies to protect their facilities. Which is truly mind boggling considering the manpower shortage. An man not mobilized will quickly sign up for these do nothing jobs well away from the front line. 🤦💙🇺🇸🕊️
Iranian munitions are supplemental to Russia not an absolute necessity, according to US Intel Russia produces more than enough of their own, stuff coming in from NK and IR is supplemental, the logic in Russia is “there can never be enough ammunition”.
Thank you guys for finally sending the aid to Ukraine! It was getting really tough here.
Humpty Dumpty did not desert.
??? Not sure to get the actual ‘meat’ of this broadcast. A few pointers:
"Desert" could also mean "killed and buried."
And then he met Mickey Mouse and they danced.
The Chinese are always unclear. Most bullet points. I used to live there and contracts are scary because they expect you to sign and you don’t know what it is, even in English.
Thank you for all you do. So informative.
This is hilarious. It's a simple numbers game at this point. Russia has more of everything. Russia has multiple times more artillery and drones. And the manpower issue works both ways.
according to the internet channels so take it with a grain of salt. they were interviewing a bunch of deserters.
Invasions can not be rewarded
As far as how bad it is for Russian troops, one aspect is the level of medical evacuation and care (to be exact the severe lack there of). I have seen reports that Russian soldiers have been recorded by Ukrainian drones using grenades next to their heads if they get wounded. I unfortunately saw such a video. That is extreme desperation.
With friend(ly-ish)s like these, who needs enemies?
😅
Tactically that makes sense!
They're "just asking questions."
There aren't any CNN talking heads who know anything about it.
There's no way to "balance" ignorant opinion against real information.
Television is about entertainment, not education.

Russia would run out of missiles within 3 months. The sanctions will cripple the Russia economy in two weeks. 😂😢
Afghanistan was their Vietnam. This is their Iraq.
The deserters are being advised to "go into the forrest."
I must admit Beau Putin exceeded my Expectations as old as he is he is still strong in his determination. I knew about his similar views as Republicans but to see his mindset take hold of people in my own nation is something I’ve never could see coming. In chess its good to know something about the opponent a rhythm, a style ,or a habit but its hard to get it from Putin he is an out of the box thinker. Militarily I think he’s a fool but politically the mans next level Obama was right they weren’t able to handle Putin. I just don’t see how nobody saw it coming or maybe they did but were powerless to stop it. Either way he has revealed a weakness in America and other countries will exploit that weakness someday.
I saw the teardown of the jammer. It was actually a pretty good design and it was effective.
Great piece, thank you for that.

Gaining territory is easier than holding that gained territory. It has cost so much in personnel and hardware to gain the territory, they won't have the resources to hold it.
I think Beau might be wrong about that. I assume he is thinking of how many troops would be needed to control the Ukrainian civilians living in the annexed territories, but history suggests Russia is more likely to exile them to other parts of Russia and repopulate the occupied territories with Russians.
Thank you, Beau!
