You need to add on your bucket list a trip to Pennsylvania, especially in Lancaster, PA area. He’s a good farmer.
We dont have many Amish in SC, but last summer while in Ohio, i bought all my groceries at an Amish store....everything is all natural. They even sell tiny homes👍
Yes We Have Amish All Over Ohio Circleville Ohio Is Where We Do A lot Of Our Sipping For Natural Non-Processed Food/Ingredients. They Built My House. It's not like Houses That Are Built Today It's Very Sound And Solid. They Did An Amazing Job.
The Amish been to SC. There will be probably in near future a Amish store. Unless there rules against it. They Know that when they came to help out for hurricane. They we're not in our area years ago. But after a tornado the Ohio and Michigan Amish came to help. Now there is little Amish Walmart pop up in several towns. It helps with the food bills .
I really enjoyed the trip to the Amish outlets. Have you watched "Homesteading with the Zimmermans?" They're a wonderful family of former Mennonites who came to faith in Christ. Thanks for sharing your life with us. God bless! Love you guys! 😍
Gary ... that dish soap scrubber is AWESOME, I have it and love it I double dog dare you to pay that toothpick box with the mouse for Brandon ... that would awesome
I'm in my 60's now but. when I was about 8 we went on a family summer vacation to Pennsylvania Amish country. It is one of my most fondness memories. I remember cars had to give horse and buggy right of way on the roads And. we ate at a place where they had table and benches You paid for dinner and you sat next to who ever was next to you on line.We sat there till dinner was ready and, every one ate same time and same thing It was a great time You are giving your children wonderful memories Bless you all.
I’m so jealous of your Amish stores. I am 75 and sensitive to all the chemicals put in our food. Sometimes I just don’t eat. So I would be thrilled to be anywhere near stores like this.
I live about 2 hours from the Lancaster area. Love the mennonite and amish stores in the area. The farmers market near me has several amish stands that I like to purchase from. Can't beat the quality.
@WalkerFarmFam be sure to eat at Shady Maples buffet. It has a downstairs with some beautiful items. It is not amish but you can't go wrong there. Fridays is seafood day.
I love going to the Amish grocery stores, I can a lot of home grown foods and can always find the supplies i need. I love their bulk section for all kinds of spices ! I really enjoyed this video!!!
The Amish in Pennsylvania only have horse and buggy. They have large teams of horses to work the fields. They use their buggies to do any travel. We have an Amish market in Annapolis, Maryland and they hire drivers and trucks to haul their goods for sale.
Gary, having managed a small grocery, I can say that those 'expiration/best by' dates have little to do with the food. They were voluntarily created by the food industry to encourage merchants to rotate product first-in first-out. One of the best examples I can think of is dried beans which also have those dates stamped on them. Beans are seeds, they can be planted in your garden. Beans can last forever, they have no expiration date. Most canned goods are the same, they can last for as much as 25 years or more so long as the container is not damaged causing seals to be compromised.
Those are good places to get stuff. That food looked so good. Oh my gosh I would have got that mouse box for Brandon. LOL Log splitters are a life saver. God bless you guys.
I am commenting before I watch. Here in Indiana, I grew up knowing of the Amish community. I was friends with a guy who left. I later had a horse and took him to get shod by the Amish. Bought food at that time, too. Then started going to their school auction. I can go and go on this.
Hello from Cape Cod. Sorry I’m a little behind on my videos haven’t felt too good my RA and Fibromyalgia is singing to me right now. Ouch. Good to see you today. The kids did a good job. I was impressed at how they took their time picking their items. You have great children. God bless you all❤️. I loved the trip to the Amish store. Thanks for taking us along we don’t have anything like that here on the Cape. I really enjoyed this video today. Have a blessed day. I need to go catch up on my videos🥰
Hi charlenegrady8781, sad you are suffering from RA and Fibro! I have my own version of these reminders of pain. Glad you like these videos as I do. I am just south of Worcester, Massachusetts. Will be praying for you, God bless.
When my grandchildren were younger, I used to give them money to shop at dollar tree. It was so fun for them to shop and for me to see what they chose.
such a wonderful video Gary and Cassie. Taking us along with you to the Amish Walmart and the other stores close by. The Children are fabulous shoppers. 🤗🤗💞💞💙💙
Like the Amish stores 😊 The food looks delicious at the restaurant.😊 I watch Montana Haven on you tube, they grew up Amish but are now more modern, they are Christians, his family owns log cabin building company, he and his twin teenage sons have built log cabins. Great channel😊❤
Cassie, My .22 rifle has a Junior Stock with scope...I also added a night vision flashlight under the barrel with both red & green filters...I also shoot from the second floor window out into wood lined backyard when predators come around...so far two coyotes, a fisher cat, 5 squirrels and a woodchuck going after my zucchini...the flash light is on a clip with velcro straps for easy removal...doesn't interfere with the scope at all...cheers from Maine
As usual, enjoyed your video. Such a nice variety. So precious when Ransom thought of his mother, teacher and beloved pet when going on his shopping spree. Hope you two pat yourself on the back every once in a while and say out loud, good job! Thank you for your teachings.✌️🙏🙏🙏
My tall son was on vacation with friends in Paraguay when his shoe broke. The local people are generally much shorter with smaller feet to match their height. They tried several stores but he could not find clothing let alone shoes in his size. One of his friends works in a hospital there and suggested he try the Mennonite or local equivalent of Amish store. Being mostly from Europe they tend to be taller etc. Yep, not only did they speak English they had shirts, shorts and even shoes in his size.He wears a size 15 or 16 depending upon the type of shoe. He was so very thankful to find their store and we were surprised to know that they have community there too.😮

I live in Pennsylvania and the Amish here, there are varying sects though, are allowed to drive and use equipment for their jobs etc. They are just not allowed to own the equipment, vehicles, tractors etc.
There are several different “types”, if I can call it that, of Mennonite, with differing levels of traditions, here in Kansas. The Amish, of course more strict with ways of life. I worked in a Mennonite run clinic. Hertzler Clinic, started by the well known horse and buggy doctor, in Halstead Kansas in early 90’s. I had an education about the way of life and differences in their communities. Good people to know and work with.
Good video like watching you shop you got some good buys,we us to have a store like that they went out when Covid was going on,we really liked shopping there. Till next time Susan in Ohio😊❤
Wonderful video. Amish are very interesting. When my son was 12, he and his classmates spent a few days in Pennsylvania, with Amish families. Years later, my son still talks about the fantastic food and how the Amish live. ❤. God bless
@annehiggins5958 you need to send Cassie some Irn-Bru!! When I worked at my family's Kilt Rental shop in Scottsdale, Az., we had people coming from all over to get their IrnBru fix!!! Do consider some of the battery operated socks, vests, and gloves. Tje concept of being able to throw socks in the washer has an advantage worth the cost if you've got the cash flow. Also consider the black, long-sleeved and long legged, winter dri fit clothing as a base (next to the skin) lauer. Rayon can be warm yet breathable oi layered correctly. Its very hard to find anymore but nylon next to the s,in works because it doesn't breath.
Where I live in Montana we have a small Amish community and quite a few Mennonites. They have a grocery surplus store too. I get my candy there because they have good prices but the stock changes constantly depending on what deals they can get. A lot of things are past date but those dates are more to get stock rotated. Everyone has that can of something at the back of the shelf that’s past date but you eat it anyway and there’s nothing wrong with it at all. Then there’s people that toss anything a day or two past date 😂.
I wish one of those Amish stores were close here but it takes about a hr and a half from here, I can't ride that far. Wait I think you'd enjoy some in pa, they have a place called green dragon tons of shops there. Those garlic pickles looked good . God bless yas
I enjoyed watching this. You went so fast I could not see how much the Muck boots were and a stack for $5.00. Unreal. Thanks for sharing and have a nice safe day. May God bless you all!!
