I've started a Go Fund Me account to raise some funds to help with my medical bills from ongoing cancer treatment.
Your kind thoughts of support and your generous donations have been a powerful force for the good and I am completely determined to hang around with you guys for a long time to come!!
It takes a strong person to go through this, but, it takes an even stronger person to accept help. The community that you helped built is here for you too. Thanks for letting us help.
My wife is currently undergoing treatment for cancer. Her medicine is $22K a month. Fortunately our insurance covers the cost. I made a small donation which I hope helps. I wish you and those around you best wishes. Keep us posted.

Boyd, ICU RN here who found your channel while trying to find some hobbies to get through 2020 and all the COVID craziness! Appreciate you helping to bring some peace to a hectic couple of years! Wish you the best in your cancer treatment, and may I take a moment too to remind people how UTTERLY important it is for folks to do cancer screening like colonoscopies. Going to the doctor sucks, but going to chemo probably sucks more! Again, wish you the best of luck!!!!!!

When honest citizens with health insurance find themselves in financial hardship due to medical issues, it means that the model of society is not working. This is not normal and does not happen in other developed countries.

I went through a cancer scare about 3 years ago and I made it through radiation and chemo. You will be able to get through it just fine. I am facing my second round of chemo later this month after being diagnosed 1 year ago now that's 10 treatments every 3 weeks following radiotherapy. Glad you are staying positive its all you need to do . I have found your videos to be vey informative and fun to watch during my treatment, good luck

Boyd is like a mini national treasure. My mother battled cancer from the age 51 to 76. Went into remission 6 times. She died november 20th 2023. Just because you have cancer, that is no reason to give up. Mom had renal cancer and according to my doctor

I'm so glad you are doing well and staying strong. I've been battling cancer for 6 years now and it is the reason I got back into model building again. It has been the best therapy ever while going through chemo and all the test & scans you have to do. Stay strong, keep positive, and most important, keep on building. It will definitely help you get through all of this.

Makes me greatful that we have government funded health care here in New Zealand. Had an X ray the other week and I had to pay all of $0 dollars.

Still annoyed that America doesn't have what we have in the NHS. It would all be free on the NHS. Watching your models over the years they are so detailed and I even remember when you moved into doing electronics in them and was learning that.

Hang in there, Boyd! I been fighting it for 3 yrs now. 9k for a PET scan and 15k per chemo treatment is a bit ridiculous! But, the treatment has been very effective...
